So, here we go:

EXPERIMENTAL SESSION OF "R U FASTER THAN A S.N.A.I.L. REDNECK" FINAL PARTICIPANT LIST, BASIC RULES AND EVENT SETTINGS:

TEAM S.N.A.I.L. REDNECKS CLASS:
Mopar440(D5), Martin20az(D1), RickyBobby(D1), OwensRacing(D1), 2ArmedMen(D3), QuietStorm(D1), NickTune(D1) and Moperlover(D4)

TEAM S.N.A.I.L. IMPORTS CLASS:
Schmiggz(D3), Albtifosi(D4), WolfSatz(D3), GTPDangerZone641(D1), Adventuruss(D1), VagStar(D4), DriftAssassin(D5) and DaPandaBear(D3)

Competition Settings:

- Every one of the 16 racers will prepare 2 cars of he's class. One with max pp of 525 that will use sports medium tires and the other with a max pp of 585 that will use sports soft tires.

- Rednecks will use the common called muscle cars where Saleen S7, Shelby Series 1, Mustangs, Corvettes, Vipers and Camaros are obviously included.

- Imports are free to use any available drivetrain car (FF, FR, MR, RR or 4WD)

- Holden, Lexus, Scion, Acura and Infiniti are considered imports.

- Every race will have 1 lap for qualification and 3 laps of competition in a head-to-head format, (1 redneck vs 1 import).

- Before the event starts a import racer line up is going to be draw to determine which one starts first, second, third until the eight.

- The import drivers choose they're redneck opponent.

- The redneck drivers choose if the race is going to be with a 525 or 585 car

- No more than 4 races can be held with each of the selected pp cap.

- On each race, only the 2 opponents go in the track.

- The team with most victories wins the competition.

- If there's a draw, each team chooses a driver to a final 9th race.

- Only ABS is aloud.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

- This is a TEAM competition. If you lose your race doesn't mean that your team is going to lose the clash.

- Every one of the 16 drivers should post they're car choices ASAP

- Every one of the 16 drivers should post they're track choice ASAP

- The track with more votes will be "the chosen one"

- AS SOON AS WE HAVE A LIST OF 16 525'S CARS AND 16 585'S CARS AND A TRACK WE CAN FINALLY BOOK A DATE AND A ROOM.....hmmmm date and room sounds good for some reason

Practice went well till GP/D room filled up and we had someone (random) with dial up I'm sure. Caused me to lose traction and frame rates. Disconnected side monitors twice. Kicked them out before last race and lost a few others. Room was back to normal. GT5/PD/Sony couldn't host a game with 16 people if their lives depended on it. Hopefully GT6 solves that. It's truly a game killer.


On a good note. I clicked off a 1:50.8 in the RX7. hopefully this means I've found my groove again.

With the below in mind and I've also seen the same even when I am running FIOS; at some point in the past when Goat used to host the practice rooms he always opened it with a MAX of 12; perhaps is a good technique to use going forward... if I recall correctly you can also set it up at 14 Max.

I also have a touge/drift idea that I was thinking about that I want to pitch. So I'll still be around, just probably not back more sundays for the foreseeable future.

- I would like to remind all the participants that the rule book for this competition is posted on page 1376 of this thread and I'm still waiting for car choices from 3 rednecks (MoperLover, QuietStorm and RickyBobby) and 1 import driver (Adventuruss).

There's one spot open for import drivers. Exosphere was invited to take it. In case he doesn't want it anyone is free to step forward.

Since i didn't get any feedback regarding track choices, the event will take place at the TOP GEAR TEST TRACK.

But a few did provide feedback on the track. Armed proposed SPA I think.

I would propose Cape Ring Inside... has similar attributes to the TV show track.

Only used them a couple of times? Are you ok running them on tracks like Tokyo, Suzuka, Spa...stuff like that? Next time we are on, let's practice a bit of touge and then do a few laps of X1 at Spa.

I've seen a couple of rumors pointing at a November release date for the PS3, based on placeholder box art and one short-lived pre-order page on Internet retailer websites. Of course, none of this is very reliable information. Retailers often create placeholder pages and fake box art ahead of time so it will be ready to go at a moment's notice in case they get a date before they get proper marketing materials from the publisher.

But that stuff, combined with the Sony exec's tongue-slip earlier make a bit of a case for a winter release on PS3. And that does seem to make sense. The GT6 effort is older than most of the dev tools for the PS4, and if past Playstation releases are any indication, there won't be a huge difference in quality between the last PS3 games and the first PS4 games.

And there's also the fact that there have been 2 GT games for each of the first two Playstations, and this would fit that pattern.

But don't hold me to any of this, it's just speculation

The S2000 GT1 is considered a race car. Well, that's what I say anyway, and this list (that I created) agrees with me. Reason is just what you said, adjustable aero.
