My best lap is a 7:37.018 now on mediums.

I can run 7:47:xxx with a stock zr1 on sports hard :sly:

I'm finally in the dry and running consistent 3:33:xxx on mediums. I'm switching to softs next stop because the 908 is so easy on tires even with me saving fuel like crazy I barely use 20% of the tires.

The Nordschleife or 24hr?

7:13 on softs and an Audi held me up. 7:09 is my goal come sunrise.

Between 13 and 14 hours completed. The sun is going to start to come up. I am burning through these full wets. Can't do more than 3 laps without pitting. I have a heavy foot I guess. Second place is going in every lap I think

Crud, it would appear I still have 2 hours of night driving left. You're probably turning 8 min laps too?

I think I already said I ain't pro ;):indiff:. Best lap now is a 7:30.341. Have yet to have that "in the zone" lap. Gap to 7 and a half minutes. Lap 77 about to start, and almost at the halfway point. Anybody know what the RL total lap record is for nurb?

ATTENTION S.N.A.I.L.'s!!!

Those who are interested in running the Touge event i have planned should send me an fr on PSN ASAP. This ensure that everyone can tune cars and practice on a track that I have pre-made. Also, I'll be heading over to D1 for a bit to test some cars, anyone who wants to join may do so. Remember, 500PP and Sport Hard tires or less!

I have about 3 and a half. And yea, I'm running in the 8:10's on intermediate in 100% wet conditions. Gonna put on the full wets next stint but I get the feeling they will be slower.

as for the total lap record. http://bit.ly/Z41ytc

SO hard to lurk the thread all day at work and then try to remember what I wanted to say when I get home.:dopey: I totally support a GTA SNAIL effort in whatever form it may come in!! I would be cool with incorporating GTA cars and such into the Sunday night gig as well. Even though the larger majority of us don't really stand a chance at becoming finalists, I think the SNAIL community should embrace GTA. It is a unique experience and would add some variety to our regular shenanigans, and it would be great support for our SNAIL brothers that really do have a shot! Hmmm, I can even see another tab added to the SNAIL results doc for inter-league competition!!

 Hardy har har :D. lmgtfy.com is the best site ever. Already googled it and 155 laps appears to be the record set in 2012.

13:08:31 down now and will have to do one more stint then suspend for the night. Got a full lap lead finally. Been running mediums and hitting consistent 7:40s. Couple of stints past I managed back to back 7:32s. Fueled a couple stops ago to a hair over 3/4 tank and running it almost dry before pitting, getting 5 laps with about 80 liters in the tank. Was kinda hoping to get back to daylight tonight but it doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

I can smell the bratwursts and kraut cooking. ;)

My bad. Just saw the lap count for 2012 and didn't bother looking any further. 155, 156, whatever it takes. I'm on track to hit near that mark. False dawn was coming up as I finished my last stint. Sure would be nice if I could get one lap in without screwing up something, somewhere.

5.5 hours in and I'm seeing fireworks.... That's why you don't leave the pyrotechnic's kid in charge.

Alright that's enough for today. I've completed 85 laps in 5:37 and my best lap was a 3:26:9

This is freaking exhausting.. Just thinking that hard for that long hurts. I'll sleep good tonight 👍

Well I decided to join in on the 24hr race fun. I'm doing the LeMons one as I'm not level 40 yet. About 1hr 15 in so far. Using the 908 with a setup I found online. Don't like the setup but decided to stick with it. It seems to wear tires fast. Only getting 10 laps out of a set of mediums and the last few laps are all over the place. Trying hards for a stint to see how that goes. Might switch to a shorter pit strategy with softs if this isn't much better.

7hrs down and 54 laps (837 miles) clocked. 2nd place in the pit as I come in to suspend. Soon I as overtake him he will be 3 laps down. ;)

Oh it's pitch black now. Hadn't seen rain since the start. Crossing fingers.

Well I've made it to almost 3 hrs so far. Had over a min lead but then I spun on my in lap from hitting a curb. The setup on this car is terrible. If you hit even the smallest bump and you're on the gas you're sideways or spinning. Really hope the rain stays away because if it doesn't I'm going to name the car Spinderella.

I'm with you on the "Spinderella" thing. Although, I would add the word "Evil" to the front of it. She's a fickle beast and will love on you one lap and then kick you right to the curb the next.

You just had to go and say brats'. Now I'm gonna have to do some grillin this weekend on top of everything else I've got to do. Mow the grass, change the brakes on my car, get tires put on my car, spread mulch around the yard, whatever else my wife can think up, and oh by the way, finish the 24hr Nurb and hence GT5.

All this endurance talk got me to start the Nurb 4 hours. Going to finish that tonight and then start the LeMans 24. Jerks.

I feel that there should be an endurance thread. Would be really cool tracking a bunch of people's progress.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 24 hour race information !!!!!!!!!1

If it is raining 100%, the intermediate tires are faster and the last a lot longer.

I am able to set times a minute faster on them than the full wets. (hopefully this is for everyone else not just for me) Also fuel runs out wayyyy before the tires are even 25% degraded. The only thing is that braking tend to be just a little bit worse on them but you have much more grip exiting corners.

I haven't done any of the endurance races on my current account. I did all but the two 24hr races on my first account. I'm thinking I'll go ahead and start with the Grand Valley 300k. Does anyone have any suggestions for cars to use to make it a challenge? I'll run the race with one of the suggestions if you guys care to make any.

I used the Evo IX stock on it. Shifting the entire way. That was after I got the G27 and wanted to really utilize the manual.

It was fun and I won easily.

The RX-7 Spirit is a great car to keep you awake for that race. It is also our time trial car(I think) so that's cool.

I used the Mazda roadster TC and it was a cake walk, fun but to easy.

Buy an FR-S and increase the power to 240-245hp (SH tires). The RX-7 Spirit is a great but it's too fast for the AI.
