Actually, for the car we've been using this season, it is. The idea behind using it is to allow multiple pit strategies to actually work out. As different cars are used I think Grimm intends on adjusting the wear factor accordingly. It's a damn good series and the main event + qualifying can run as little as around 110 minutes, including the 10 minute break between the A & B main. We had some typical GT6 issues tonight so it ran a little over 2 hours. Some great racing went on at Tokyo tonight. Couple of different strategies were used and they both worked for some and not for others.Yea I checked that series out but it's full for now. I don't like that they run on Very Fast though. That's not needed.
Just to add, the tire/fuel setting for the next season will be set to fast. The intent is to make pit strategy come into play and I try to get it so that there are options depenidng on how you drive and want to play it out. For example, tonight everyone except 2 went with two pit stops. the other two drivers went with 1 stop. It worked for one driver posting two 3rd place finishes while it did not work for the other driver who finished 8th due to running out of fuel. This past season we had races where you had plenty of fuel to make it on 1 stop but the tires took a beeting whire other tracks, it was fuel that ran out but the tires help up fine.Actually, for the car we've been using this season, it is. Quick question guys - I submitted my TT lap time & racecraft test, so just waiting to be assigned to a division. In the meantime is it cool if I hop into a practice session or two if I see one posted, or is that a no-no for someone only part-way through registration?
Side note - I've always played with the racing line and TC set to 2 before this week. TC was noticeable but didn't make a huge difference. Damn though, I can't believe how much better it is without the line!!! Really helps focus on the driving, trying new things etc... and not just relying on the game to guide you
To expand on Grandpa's excellent advice, the Red room is for the higher divisions (roughly D4-D7), the Yellow room has a full course caution halfway through the race (great for practicing the turn 1 start craziness) and is for anyone interested (no divisional participation recommendations), and the Blue room is for the lower divisions, where the Aliens reside (roughly D1-D4).Official practice is tonight 930 EST.. Highly recommended you join red or yellow room.. They run them the same as Sundays.. Give a good feel for the real thing.
Try over 7 hours at lemans....best driving experience ever.... Concentration is the key......of course. You should try 4 hours

Who remembers the 24 hour endurance races in GT 4 and 5...... who actually did them in A-spec???Well that wouldn't help your foot at all
Why 7 hours though?
I did one and boy was I tired for a while.Who remembers the 24 hour endurance races in GT 4 and 5...... who actually did them in A-spec???
haha. That's quite impressive. 👍 It's a great way to learn a track. By the end did you know the track like the back of your hand???I did one and boy was I tired for a while.
Pretty much. Then driving the 4 hour stint I had in this years race this quote suited how I felt.haha. That's quite impressive. 👍 It's a great way to learn a track. By the end did you know the track like the back of your hand???

Good call. When D2 is full to the point where we almost had to go to the Part Time Priority list and D1 has 4 drivers...some shuffling needs to happen. The driver's list has been updated. This update covers new drivers and returning drivers. It also covers drivers who have not raced this month moving to part time status. It also covers a couple of drivers moving from D2 to D1 for the purpose of competitive balance and division leveling among the full time drivers.
There will be another update that will address the part time priority once the official results are ready for this week.

Normally I would have to split my 15-20mins of practice time on Sunday night between 2-3 combos. Looks like this week I only really need to devote my 20mins to the Art Morrison/Spa combo since the Lotus will probably not require much attention at Daytona.
Hello,
I'd like to join the league!

Thank you.
Did a few laps on Daytona with the Lotus...yep not much excitement in having your foot on the accelerator all the time.
....what's that in the distance?...no way!!! a left turn!!...uh-oh there's another one.... and another one...and...! Think I going to take a brick and just put that on the gas pedal for the race...
Y'all think it's easy to race in a pack with a car as light as a Lotus at 160 MPH. I think I can see the people who will be in the center of The Big One. Also, to make sure, the yellow line marks out of bounds, right @JLBowler?
