Me toooo on the Elise. After watching some upper level drivers and understanding lines and GEARS....I drove the car with confidence. My first experience with the loti was in another league where not only was I the VERY junior squirrel, the car, repeatedly, tried to kill me...the tyres are the key. Nice choice andwell suited for Brands. Loved it. Not really a car for all types of drivers....once you understand that lifting off may be harmfull to your health it is easier to drive.

I thoroughly enjoy driving the Elise ........ just wish I could overcome the "Mistake in Every Race" syndrome. Was comfortably leading one race last night - and caught some grass under an outside tyre. That was all she wrote for that race. Problem: The same thing usually "rears its ugly head" in every race. Sure would like to cut that head off like we do Rattlesnakes around here.

Coach, I hope you get the young man on the straight and narrow path.

Me, myself and I were also involved in a number of incidents last night....
All by your self...:P
I have to preach on the throttle myth: it's not so much to fear it, as to make it your ally.

Learning the how and when to modulate the throttle, to make IT turn the car for you, is the game-changer in driving it! The way that thing spins on its weird little center axis is so neat...
AND...you really start to love the litte bugger....I would really like to take the idiot who designed it out behind the woodshed....from where he would return a much more user freindly creator of chassis and suspensions.

What is the official Snail stance on rage quitting or leaving track during a race other then emergency situations? I know I've seen it some where I just can't remember where!

Section K if the SNAIL OLR

If a driver wants to retire from a race, the driver concerned must not exit the race. The driver must find a position on the track where the driver will not endanger other drivers, park their car by coming to a complete stop and turning on the emergency brake and wait for the race to end. If you do not come to a full stop and turn on the brake your car may drive on by itself

In your welcome letter

4. Read the 'Rules' section of our first post as well as the instructions on how to file a Racing Incident Report. Even though we do everything possible to keep the racing clean, there will eventually be a time when you a wrecked ordive bombed and are not happy about it. However, rage-quitting is something that we frown upon. It is also strictly prohibited to discuss these types of incidents openly on the thread since it could result in a flame war. We want mature drivers who can handle and resolve adversity in an appropriate manner. Therefore, please confirm that you are willing to file a Racing Incident Report if such an incident were to occur. You cannot race until you reply to this message and confirm this in writing.

Cool and for rage quitting during the race same thing applies or can it be more sever?

It's frowned upon. The official policy, as stated in the OLR, for quitting a race is that the driver should not exit the room but should pull off the track and set their emergency brake.

Ninja'd multiple times. It's nice to see that someone does read and retain what we spend so much time to put out there.

And then they are free to leave after said race has completed?

"Honey, get my shovel, we got another rattler in the barn"

I think people need to remember that there is a messaging function on this forum and that sometimes it is better to respond using that then bringing your drama to the thread. Calling out yourself as a bad driver is one thing. Going on a rant about how someone messed up your race for you on the thread leaves everyone not in that division looking at everyone racing there as suspect.
Zero's point isn't that you called someone out, it's that when you go on an rant like that you are instigating a conflict (whether you mean to or not) and you open the flood gates for others to do the same, which generally leads into flame wars.
In situations where you are not reflecting on your own mistakes, but rather, on others, its best to either file an IR as needed, or keep it to yourself.
I have no clue of what you're talking about if your post refers to mine.
I haven't read any drama, any pointing or by any means anyone feeling a victim of pointing.
As said before, there was some normal racing accidents and due to some bad luck of being at the wrong spot at the wrong time, I ended up being caught by the hurricane but no lack of racecraft or sportsmanship was ever noticed.
Most of the times, drama is not caused by a particular post but by the reaction of some dramatic people to that post.
;)

Exactly Rally's point.
