Shoot for 2:02s and work your way down. I was able to shave a second after a few laps. Not the best to jump into the GTR right after doing the VGT seasonals.... the GTR is a heavy beast. Slow In - Fast Out.

Haha, yeah, was just running the chapparal for a while getting used to it. I actually really enjoyed it. Coming out of the tunnel into that right kink (2nd use today!), because she was so fast you got a decent distance before you could actually see again. Couldn't beat @gotdirt410sp's time, but i'm going to have another bash later.

I'm liking having people on my friends list to race against on these seasonals (and licences). Makes them a little more interesting, for me anyways. I like to flick the ghost/lines on whilst on the straights...see how i'm doing in relation. :)

Criticizing “Those Who Do Not Search”

It has long been popular on Internet discussion boards to ridicule or embarrass users who may ask questions that could have easily been answered by searching the web or the forums. Indeed, many questions can be answered this way, and indeed, many users could make better use of the tools available to them. However, that is no reason to treat them with disrespect, as there is a wide and legitimate range of experience among users on the Internet. If you see someone on GTPlanet asking what you believe to be a trivial question, suggest keywords or links or simply ignore their questions altogether. Do not harass them.

Hmmm... I think I have seen this a few times on the thread!

Ah, we are allowed the GT-R NISMO GT3 Schulze Motorsport '13! Nice, saves me 350,000 credits! Wildly inconsistent at the moment...

Saved money too; using my Base Model.
In the spirit of the pick I'm using the car picked and with the new seasonals being worth so much (haven't finished the stupid drift trial yet) I'm already sitting at 30mil. So buying the car choosen was no skin off my back!

On a side note can't wait for the baby to go for her nap so I can do the survival challenge again it's so fun!

I wish I could sign up but everything looks too complicated to sign up D: I don't know where to start!

I think the first thing you might want to consider is our start time. It looks like you'll be starting at 2:30AM and going for at least 2 hours. If that works for you then we can get you set up with a welcome post. 👍

I think you're the third person I have seen that says they are having a hard time with the drift trial? Maybe I should hold a drifting workshop. I'm not the best teacher, but drifting is one of the things I am actually good at in this game.

Indeed!, though, you wont be alone, we have a couple of UK drivers, and one from the Emerald Isle as well. Quite a few red eyed racers, more dedicated than I.

lol I think that this is for me! and god if you think you can teach me to drift all the power to you!

I have 2 favorite vacation spots. We went to San Diego for a 10 day vacation several years ago and absolutely loved our time there. The weather is perfect and there is so much to do. My 2 boys and I thought our favorite thing was going to Miramar Speed Circuit 3 times. My wife didn't agree.

My other favorite is Bermuda. We've been there twice, once being a cruise. An awesome vacation spot that's not over crowded and has great weather too, even with the often "passing shower".

Oh man, a one favorite? Not so good at picking favorites, my ADD (not really got that, I actually have AGD, auditory grounding deficit... anyway) wont allow for it. My top three though, Alaska, Key West and traveling Oregon's Coastline, especially around Seaside. And of course, every year, the trip we make up to Atlanta MI for Sno*Drift and some great snowmobiling fun.

Also, I got a couple of people interested. Perhaps this weekend I can put together that drift workshop. Saturday night work for ya'll?

This has been a long time coming. Since 1986 coming.

Finally.

Just before I gave it a quick cleanup.

It's not an exact replica of the carbine I inherited from my father but, it was there and so was I, and the price was less than I was willing to pay for it.

After the quick clean up.

1969 Model 94 Winchester Classic. Yeah, I know it ain't a pre '64. My Dad's wasn't either. Nor was it a "Classic". My son and I will be heading to the range this weekend to test it out and check the sights. I plan to break it all the way down after that and see what can be done about some small rust spots on the barrel and receiver. Hopefully, I won't have to take it to a gunsmith. Now that I have a rifle again, I might even take up a little hunting now and then. Don't really want this to just be a display model.

Now, perhaps I can get my go fast on. Time to check out the new glitter in GT6.
Dude, That is sweat!
I like the wood, Wish I had a picture of my old 357 Dan Weson with a wood grip that had all the wood grains, some green just looking like a flow!

ATTENTION ALL YELLOW ROOM PRACTICE DRIVERS: A new approach - Let's see how it works tonight.

The intention is to promote the practice of close racing - and learning the benefits of patience.
The goal is NOT TO WIN so much as it is to practice good passing techniques, ......... such as eliminating the Dive Bomb approach.

Basically: We will run 1/2 length races - Full green.
C1: Qualifying, then Four 1/2 length races. Races 2-4 will be Reverse Grid.
C2 and C3 will follow the same format.

Remember - the intention is to learn good race craft, patience and promote good relationships at the end of the nights Race Card. We need to learn from each other.

Hope it works as intended.

One of the best vacation spots in the world, and I get to live here, US129 Tail of the Dragon.

318 corners in 11.2 miles from the TN/NC state line to Tabcat Bridge. Surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, no malls, no Starbucks, no cell service.

If we ever get GPS Course Creator, I will be sure to share it with all of you.

Feel free to hit me up if you are ever in the area.

I can't remember the last time I won 3 (Reverse) race... too bad I had to burn Race 1/Combo 2-3 to learn the combos , I think I spun 4 times on combo 2 and 3 lol.

D1 Round 1 Qualification. Close Top 4.

@Dragonwhisky - please tell me you are rolling your own for that purty little thing!

Even a single stage press is worth it as your total number of rounds will be low. I have an RCBS Rockchucker for my buff gun, but even the basic Lee loaders are fine for most rifle loads. Let me know if you need any info on reloading for your new toy.
Nah Handlebar, at present, I am not, and have no intention of spending more money than absolutely necessary on gun gear. I am by no means a "gun nut" but I did qualify on an M16, .38 and 9mm while I was in the AF and have shot various and sundry rifles, pistols, shotguns and even a 'nade launcher over the course of the last 40 years. Yes, I qualified expert, got the ribbon and leaf to show for it. I think. Somewhere. I do have two more weapons I want to own but have no idea when I might be able to get those in the "cabinet". I've got a buddy at work that is a "gun nut" and has all the equipment I might need, so all I'll really have to do is police up some brass, pick up some powder, primer and lead and head over to his shop. He'll show me how it's done and I'll be able to make boowets until me hands bleed, if I'm of a mind to. I may even take up a membership in a Sportsman Club in my hometown so I can have at will access to the range they have. It's outdoor though and I'm getting more and more weather wussified the older I get.

The best "weapon" I got to fire while in the army?
373963.jpg

Then the AT4 and MK19. I was also qualified on the M2, M4, M16, M249, and the 240B. Have yet to own a weapon as a civilian though. Not a big hunter and will probably be more for sport shooting and home protection when I get one.

Army-wise, I played with some of the big CEV cannons a couple times, but after the small arms (almost all - M9/.45, M16A2, M249/M60, LAW/Dragon/TOW, and the wonderful Ma Deuce), my specialty - and I really loved it - was with:

P26EIbh.jpg

Outside the army, I'm much more a 19th century guy - Blackpowder Cap'n Ball and Blackpowder cartridge, etc., but I have a wide variety of modern tastes and interests as well.

I was a wheeled vehicle mechanic and got assigned to Service and Recovery for 4-1 AD at Ft. Bliss. A few of us went out with the DATs in the M88 while they qualified. Afterwards they had a bunch of left over rounds that "needed" to be expended, so we got invited to fire a few. The feeling when that this fires is insane! Take the loudest, craziest subwoofer "thump" and magnify it by 10! Watching that breach slam back after firing is intimidating as well. Wanna be to be clear of that.

A TOW would be awesome to fire! I got to shoot the AT4 in basic. Didn't get to squeeze the claymore trigger though.

The M728 is what we had - I didn't know the M88 had a cannon. We had the 165mm "Watermelon gun" - could see that sucker in the air, if you were young'n dumb enough to not be buttoned up.

I'm now older and a smidge wiser.

Context my friend.

Straight from dragon:

As long as I have been on the internet, over 20 years now, typing in all caps has always been considered as yelling. A word in all caps is considered adding emphasis to that word when other formatting capabilities do not exist in the text medium being used. Here at GTPlanet, we are allowed the use of bold, italicized and underline formatting tools to emphasize text in our messages here. They can be used with the simple shortcut keys of CTRL+B, CTRL+I and CTRL+U There is also the capacity for up or downsizing your text to add emphasis. If you know anything about BB code, you can also put your text in color. In the absence of those tools, it would be mostly acceptable to type a word or two in all caps. Alas, they are not absent in this medium.

So either YOU'RE wrong or HE is wrong let me know!
