Anyone interested in some light hearted dirt/snow/whatever races in slow beaters, or maybe drifting around SS7 or ARM? I'll be on in a hot minute turning some sideways laps in the caddy. Have I mentioned yet how much I like this car?

I've been having several conversations this week with some of you in my division and with several of my buds and after a lot of thought, I have come to a realization and a decision!

"I am that guy that goes all out for the win"

So I'm gonna try my best to just race and keep some space and wait for a good pass!

And if you see me race old friends like @TEX36 releally hard, side by side, it is because we have raced together since 2011 and we can!

I had done this before and won a division with one win but since may have lost my way, well I'll make an effort to get it back and every week remind myself to Chill!
I hold no grudges so let's all learn to race together! ;)

Thanks for the like's guy's P.S just helped @Raw10_2u gain 2 seconds in his Caddy, great job Raw! 👍 now I'm :nervous:

question, is zer0 Snail_Racing, and is it typical to have that room open with no mics? Would it not be benificial to be able to speak to people who jump in to join, rather than trying to communicate through crap text chat?

In other quick news, I’ll tell you a little bit about Mexico Gt Academy national finals.

In Mexico finals, there are 28 finalist, the first test is the gaming, only the fastest 18 GT6 drivers get to do the real car driving, fitness and media test.

The gaming side, I felt it was quite easy, thanks to everyone here on SNAIL, I improved TONS, from last year GTA finals. Last year I didn’t even manage to get to the driving test or fitness test. But last year as “Losers” price, Nissan let us drive a GTR on the track. That was really cool. This year I finished second fastest overall.

I had some bad luck on the real driving test. The test was 3 laps, 1 practice lap, 2 timed laps, fastest lap counts; it was in a stock, automatic with flappy paddles 370z. I was the second guy to do the test. The thing was that the car they were using to test the track, was the same car they gave me to do the test, once I got going for my first practice lap, right from the start something was wrong with the car, it just didn't accelerate they way it's supposed to or respond at all, the car was just going low revs, I imagine the gearbox overheated, I don't know... The thing I do know was that Gt Academy winner Ricardo Sanchez was using that car... anyway... I told the judges and they changed the car, so I couldn't do a proper practice lap and feel the car, I wanted another practice lap but judges denied it, "you can't do 4 laps" they said, I was so angry at this point, so second lap, the car was fine, drove it hard to get to know the track, last lap, gave it all but even so, the lap felt slow. I feel this test was the one that kept me away from top 6.

Lastly in the fitness tests, there were at least 10 dudes with really good body strength, the only test I beat everyone was the beep test, manage to get to level 11. In the other tests, push ups, plank and jumping, other dudes were stronger.

And that was it, it is really cool to meet everyone on the leaderboards and joke around. Nissan took us to Cancun for two days, being on the beach for a bit was fun, I got to see some BIG sea turtles making their egg nest on the beach. Of course, I watched from a distance, don't disturb the turtles :)

I finished 7th overall, I’ll definitely try again next year.

Hey guys, anyone else still having connection issues? Last night I couldn't connect at all. Tonight I was allowed to join TomMangs room for a few minutes and then I get a disconnect from the server. It even happens in the public rooms. I picked up a new rocket modem from Rogers and the problem is still there. Any ideas my snailaroo friends? My ping speeds seem to be good and I was able to connect to Steam without issues.

I'm the same way. I race to hopefully win every round, week, and season. It's okay not to but it certainly is my goal. You are a worthy competitor

Congrats @pakicote on making it as far as you did. Great job battling through the things thatatst held you back. Hopefully next year the experience and even more practice will take you further. Good job! 👍👍

I pulled up the replay for some commentary:

Cliffeden (a lap down) was starting to spin to the right going out of Turn 5. He collided with singlepaddy but only enough to slow him down so he and I could go into Turn 6/the carousel two-wide. Singlepaddy tucked in behind me and got a good draft out of the turn but I pulled ahead into Turn 7/ the hairpin. Singlepaddy was on the inside so he got me under braking for the hairpin. That was Lap 6. Lap 8 I got him in the hairpin. It was a great race.

Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍
