Hey Handle. Quick question, on your TV, can you put audio out to speakers using the RCA's in the back? Typically you will have a setting on the TV that says something along the lines of Speaker settings :External or TV. or TV SPeaker: On or Off. If you can put your sound out this way while on the same input of the PS3 than you can just plug the mini jack into the RCA adapter that came with it, and plug those into the RCA sound output from the TV.

On a different topic, you guys mind if I join one of the practice rooms? Not coming back for anything official, but would like to turn some laps with some SNAILs

I am on "Dad duty" - I will give it a shot tomorrow am. Thanks!

@zer05ive

Settings for Thursday practice and Sunday Racing. Looks like all of the races are approaching the 12 minute mark this week.

Rednose, the power you have listed for the Cadillac is off by 1, it should be 582.

I have a proposition for Thursday night practice. Normally we do qualifying for C1R1 and then reverse grid the rest of the night. What if we did normal grid, so the previous race results are where you start? Since this is practice, you will then be racing against all the drivers you will most likely be racing against on Sunday night. This gives you a better chance to learn their driving styles instead of practicing clean driving amongst others you'll most likely never see on Sunday night.

We have Monday night pack racing to practice that as well as the many random practice rooms that pop up throughout the week. Using previous race results will keep like drivers together and help them learn each other quicker. Thoughts?

Ok, bought a Turtle Beach PX22. I am running into a problem with the red/white plugs from the headset and the lack of a non HDMI output from my PS3.

I do not have, nor know, what cable this requires, or where it should plug into the stereo - Any help is appreciated!
Don't you have 2 HDMI sockets in the front of your PS3 on the bottom left? That's where I plugged my PX22's into and currently have my PX51 plugged into. I have one for my wheel and one for the headset. If you are already using them, get a splitter.

Issue in the red room as well. People trying to come in and others were booted out of the room, i think the new maintenance done earlier today screwed things up.

Zappa, those are called USB ports... Those will do voice, but as far as I am aware they do not do game sounds.

Sorry! Long Day.

@Handlebar When I had my PX22, for sound, I used a 4-pole to a phones adapter and plugged it into the phone jack on my receiver. I'm using the digital optic cable for sound with the PX51. If you have your PS3 connected to your receiver via HDMI, the phones jack will give you the correct sound you are supposed to get. Or just plug the white and red RCA plugs into the out jacks in the back of your receiver. Same result.

Argggg, couldn't connect, actually, I could connect but got booted out just after. I have issues with my wheel as well, wrong power cord connected. Gave the wrong cord back when I replaced my modem.
New rig is built, just needs prettying up with carpet, paint and a few adjustments. Cost was about about 20 dollars. All I had to buy was 2/4s for the frame and some long wood screws. I used left over plywood from a reno. Total time cutting wood and assembly, about three hours. I just looked at some plans online and adapted the design to my own purposes. So easy, if you can play with wood and use power tools, I highly recommend trying to build one yourself.

Others having the same connection issues tonight as well. Desert Penguin was in the Red room but not sure if he left or was booted out. This last maintenance did something to the game.

lobby issues left, right and center tonight. in the four times i managed to get on track, only once could everyone see everyone else. every other time, everyone was missing someone. on a track of 5 i once only saw myself and another. I think things may take a few too... acclimate, to the changes they have made during those maintenance period.
That said, it was nice racing for the short time i did get. i am not sure when i will be back in any sort of official racing capacity. i will however be holding some impromptu races now that im set up again. Doubly so if the course maker is ever released.

I was trying to reply below, but my phone.doesnt feel the the bother... I just about finished my rig too. need to.set up a permanent clamp system and a couple of mount for my hotas flight setup, then beautification time. Did pretty much the same as you. reused some old 2x4 and 4x4s, plywood and a seat from an old Subaru legacy. I'll get some pics up when I finish it up.

ki

The issues tonight in the rooms are more due to the newest maintenance by PD. It's not on our end, it's PD's end.

Thanks for noting the error. I'll make sure it is corrected in the scoring sheets. Since we can't tune the cars, the one HP will not be a big deal - other than some people might think they are missing one of their horses...

@Falango - take note for the banners

Hey mike your avatar brings back some memories...lol. I read my share of those back in the day...funny stuff.

Let's get those pictures posted for banners! Please note, I'll be doing banners tonight for LAST week, so do not use those as reference points for this weeks races.

Thanks for working on them. I might suggest putting a spoiler tag on them just to avoid confusion.
