Settings for Thursday practice and Sunday Racing. Looks like all of the races are approaching the 12 minute mark this week.

2015-07-12 Settings.png

I have a proposition for Thursday night practice. Normally we do qualifying for C1R1 and then reverse grid the rest of the night. What if we did normal grid, so the previous race results are where you start? Since this is practice, you will then be racing against all the drivers you will most likely be racing against on Sunday night. This gives you a better chance to learn their driving styles instead of practicing clean driving amongst others you'll most likely never see on Sunday night.

We have Monday night pack racing to practice that as well as the many random practice rooms that pop up throughout the week. Using previous race results will keep like drivers together and help them learn each other quicker. Thoughts?

Reverse grid is used on Sunday, so if you only find yourself coming across the same 2 or 3 drivers every Sunday night, something's not right. To me, it makes sense to use reverse grid so that you can get the feel for driving in the pack, rather than having to learn on Sunday where your adjusted brake zones need to be. Yes, there are other days to practice, but since this is official practice day, it's probably best to simulate as much of the actual schedule as possible to assess the combos and allow drivers to understand what they can expect.

Boom boom boom , let me hear you say way-yo ho ohhh...
It's thursday and even though a day or 2 late , here is my recap of sunday night's race.

First things first, I want to thank @JamCar0ne for hosting and being Data Specialist for the night and also @Raw10_2u for uploading replays and helping me with images for C1 highlight reel. There were 9 drivers present and what a night of racing it was.

The TOP DOGS were absent which gave me the chance to reach my first overall win. That being said I would like to thank TEAM ORANGE MANGO [T.O.M] for practicing with me and hep and english SNAIL come out on top of an all american field on Sunday. I felt like mouse amongst cats hehe.

So without further delay, ARE YOU REAAADY?

C1 IMAGES BY @Raw10_2u . Thanks buddy looking forward to our next project together. I had to use my sound engineering skilss to edit this song as there was waaay to much foul and explicit language. For the HipHop and RapHeads I hope I didn't ruin a good song for you hahaha. ENG1 AND RAW10 = BAD MEETS EVIL HAHAHAHA

C3 R1 [ after watching @brntguy 's videos i had to aspire to impress him and this is what I came up with.

Thanks my Austrian Mango. You got it right, I do enjoy making the videos.:cheers:.

Oh tell Mrs Steamer that I WON . It took almost a year in SNAIL to get here but I will be waiting for my Winner's kiss and Champagne:P:P

GOOOOooooo Mangos

Opening a practice session in the Snail Club Room.
For about an hour or so.
Primarily working on the Caddy at Midfield.

Tire wear is a major concern with this one.

What are good lap times for the combos in D3? Managed some practice off line today and would be good to know where the bar is when I get online at some point.

Good combos by the way!

Edit: can't make practice tonight for the sake of avoiding an unhappy wife.

Ok, bought a Turtle Beach PX22. I am running into a problem with the red/white plugs from the headset and the lack of a non HDMI output from my PS3.

I do not have, nor know, what cable this requires, or where it should plug into the stereo - Any help is appreciated!

This was the help I got and it was very helpful but I opted to buy the PS3 A/V Cable that the setup calls for. Only cost me 4 bucks.
I cant remember specifically, though I may give it a test later, but optical is always broadcasting I believe. While it is a selectable option in the audio setup menu in the PS3, only HDMI and Multi-AV are actually controlled by the options. That said, if you are sending your optical out to a receiver, then check your receiver for a headphone jack, also, see if it is putting audio out of an audio out RCA jack.
Actually, @DesertPenguin09 best bet is this. in the PS3 audio menu, you have the ability to have the audio sent out all channels. Not sure the specific name, but common sense should get you the right one. That will put audio out HDMI, optical and multi-AV. Keep your headphones hooked up to the TV audio out RCA jacks, and set up the TVs audio to external speaker. and keep the receiver hooked up as is using the optical. Then, when you wanna use the headphones, you can turn off the reciever and put them on.

@Lessen from everything I could find online, it looks like the headset comes with everything needed to hook up to RCA and mini jack. Following those last directions, he should be good to use the TV's RCAs.

I bekieve the PS3 comes with those AV cables. Check your box for them. I think the PS2 one works too if I remember. I think it's the same socket.

Never owned a PS2, this is my first console, since the Atari 2600 and 5200 era.

Not sure how well I can follow @Rallywagon but I will go one sentence at a time.

Thank you, @DesertPenguin09 for the repost.

Hope it works out well.
Hey Handle. Quick question, on your TV, can you put audio out to speakers using the RCA's in the back? Typically you will have a setting on the TV that says something along the lines of Speaker settings :External or TV. or TV SPeaker: On or Off. If you can put your sound out this way while on the same input of the PS3 than you can just plug the mini jack into the RCA adapter that came with it, and plug those into the RCA sound output from the TV.

On a different topic, you guys mind if I join one of the practice rooms? Not coming back for anything official, but would like to turn some laps with some SNAILs
