I have a suggestion, how about a race event in the rain? Give me your ideas on that.
I tried getting people to join a rain lobby all the time in GT5 but gave up long ago. I like rain but most don't.

In fact when I was learning to drive my first car I made a point of going out every time it rained even if I had nowhere to go.

Have you tried slick tyres in the wet before?

Have the combos for this Sunday been picked yet?
It wasn't me this time!!

It is odd that they aren't announced yet and we're going into Thursday but that's because IRs had to be reviewed. In our Division Convo @DMacs13 (DoublePass) said he was working on Prize A so we should hear that tomorrow.

On weather: SNAIL will never run a race with the weather on anything other than 0%. What's really cool is 25% weather with 0 weather change makes the track a bit foggy and cloudy skies but it never rains. Makes for some atmosphere down the straights but less bright for photos.

This week's prize winners have changed;
Prize A - @DMacs13
Prize B - @WraithQueen
Prize C - @socalnatv
are clear to make their selections. Good racing!

The IR Submission Form is now closed.

All remaining reviews are due by 10PM Eastern on Friday, July 24th, 2015.

Prize winners are on a shortened schedule this week. If I wake up tomorrow morning and they are not made, the process to get something chosen will begin. This means nominations and voting done on a very quick schedule. If you have won a prize, get on it or lose it.

For a Sunday night race, forget about it. For a one off event, feel free to try and get something off the ground.

Sorry, but I just have to post a combo before I go to bed..... This is the one that carried over from Last week.

Not on purpose! Lol. I have, but sports/comfort tires or rain tires are really the only ones that are fun in the wet. Shifter karts in the wet are really fun!
I have do
I have done rain racing, Im still trying to get the hang of it. I set up a lobby in the snail spec racing club so we can give it a try

I'm not sure how cars will react to that as I don't own one IRL, but in France lower karting categories use slick tyres in the rain and causes absolute chaos in turn 1 :lol: , but in GT6 karts just don't react the same way, in GT6 the karts can turn like it's dry (though with wet tyres, but still...)

@DesertPenguin09
I wouldn't say nothing like real life, they're at least as close to real karts as the cars in GT6 are to real cars. I'd never driven fast karts when we went to the kart track in Nashville the day after GT Academy... but I beat all the finalists' lap times by driving it like I do in GT6. I also tend to beat people in karts who are normally faster than me on GT6... hmmm...

Granted they are similar, I've driven karts that go up to 50mph and the steering characteristics are not like GT6. A major difference is the steering wheel shape which makes you control the kart differently. Mostly I noticed the difference with gas-on turn-in, mid-corner acceleration, and sharpness of steering during chicanes/switch-backs. Real life was way more responsive than GT6
