You shut up my good sir! ;):dopey: I too value those things. Let's just move on and have a good Sunday:cheers:
I briefly scanned the IR form recent history and I don't know why several people are still allowed to race. When you put up big numbers more than once then you don't get it. I see numbers greater than 50 several times and a couple in excess of 100! Throwing down points like that should be immediate permanent banning or at the very least an immediate placement on the last chance list.

Oh man that Impreza is fun, a lot better turn-in that most AWD cars in GT6 and a TON of grip on SM tires. Honestly, it feels like RS tires to me, I had to double check to make sure I was on SM. The brakes are insane, too. This car should be easy to drive but tough to master. It's got so much grip for it's power level it seems to become a momentum car, but one you can toss around a lot and find time through rotation.

I think D1 fast laps will be in the 1:35 range. I still haven't worked out the shift point for certain, I might be shifting too late, so 1:34 is likely possible but I'm not sure yet. When Ricky does a 1:34 I won't be surprised though.

To put that lap time in perspective, the real-life time for a '14 STi is 1:47, and the fast lap at Laguna Seca for the 600HP, sticky-treaded Nismo GT-R is a 1:35.5 so this 294HP street-tire-wearing Impreza is absolutely flying...

I love the comparison of real life cars and the car in game. 👍:gtpflag:

Live results are usually at Race-Monitor. There is a 4 hour race today (1-5), but our team won't be there. The race on Friday is 8 (9-5) hours and 4 hours (9-1) on Saturday.

The Volvo ChumpCar has had a lot of upgrades from the race/crash at Watkins Glen, so we're excited to see how much better it handles.

I'll be there Saturday afternoon after the circus is over running with EMRA. Tomorrow may be a bit of a washout if the forecast holds.

"You can lead a horse to water...."

But you can shoot him if he won't drink :)
Can't wait for him to die of thirst.

Yeah, but then you gotta field dress him out and lug 'im off to the glue factory. No thanks.

Vultures tend to do a decent job. Biodegradable :)

well thats less glue kids can be sniffing

You know how this page started with how incredible SNAIL is due to the helping hand we are always sure to find in the next racer and that makes the league amazing?

Weird and funny conversations like this are also a big part of it. This had laughing like a maniac.

I don't see the chicane being put to use... Make sure the wheel's straight after west bend!

Always wanted to race there, have fun!

After what happened earlier this week I thought they might be closed for investigations. Glad you're still getting out there!

Why would you want to turn off your mic?

Because they should be muted during races. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd think a majority of us find it annoying when we hear people cough, sneeze, swear at their own mistakes, or dogs barking over the mic. These arent things you'd hear in your race car from other competitors. We are trying to focus on the race, conversations can happen after. The occasional moment where you feel you need apologize or wave someone through would be ok, but not more than that. Besides, it's a nice gesture towards your competitors to keep the unnecessary noise to a minimum.

The bolded part is the only reason I would leave mine on. Especially being that it's Thursday practice and it may be the first time many of us are in the car and/or with other drivers on track. This way we can communicate what is learning curve error versus driver error.

Now that's a combo...

I love your penguin pics!

Quick question, do we do mics on or off for Thursday practice?

Why would you want to turn off your mic?
So long as your mic isn't staticy, pick up every breath or faintest noise, or do something else annoying, along with the person directly behind, Thursdays is probably fine. I personally just use the mute switch on my headset. But I live with lots of random noise (7 cats, a dog, a daughter and a wife, all very noisy things at clutch moments). As for Sundays, while not a lot of bandwidth, every bit counts in GT 6, so when a room hits around 13-14 racers, it can begin to exasperated the issue. It also is something I think we can consider good etiguette.

Thursday practice should be done the way it will be on Sunday night. Otherwise, you're just allowing a crutch to be where it isn't needed. BS between races. Mute your mic during. Make your apologies with your car during a race and your mouth or fingers between them. The only noise folks should hear, during a race or qualifying session, is the scream of tires and the groan of motors.

Nice breakdown!!!

Classy move to include some real world Laguna lap times for comparison.
