Coming November Season...for the first time ever.

The SNAIL Time Trial Championship.

As usual, current Sunday night combos will be created as Time Trial Events. Every Time Trial event you participate in will award you championship points based upon your ranking when the event closes. Points from the month will be accumulated and reflected in an overall ranking page in the spreadsheet. You will be able to see your overall ranking, as well as rankings within divisions.

You can see the test page based on the current time trials here:

Many thanks to @zer05ive for encouraging this concept, to @Dragonwhisky for bringing me up to speed, @turnupdaheat for volunteering to assist with data, and to @msgt-sd for developing the Rankings page on the spreadsheet.

More details to be available in the Time Trial Thread soon.

I would like to extend our (D6) gratitude to all who answered the call to help us with our connection problems. We had a full room Thursday night when we tested, and had SNAILS from all Divisions show up ready to race to give us a great test of the prescribed fix,and it worked! The racing in D6 was smooth, and all were able to race!@Polygrizz,and @JLBowler ,went to great lengths to ferret out the problems, and come up with a solution.Congrat's to all our Divisional winners,Seasonal winners, podium takers, and SNAILS IN GENERAL!We are a great bunch!

Too bad for the Tomahawk, I enjoyed that Combo. I know there are those that didn't find that car fun at all but it was a something different and it was a car that would have been a blast to drive around Indy. I think I'll go into the open lobby Friday night, open a room and see what happens...

No idea what year. Good job getting a real seat though.

Random thought: Mazda MX-5 or Roadster or LCC Rocket at Autumn Ring - Reverse. Or maybe even Toyobaru. Low powered cars there are very fun. Better types of turns when in reverse.

Actually I pulled it out of a 2007.... At least that's what year they called it in their computer.

Really!? Interesting. I have an '05 and those side bolsters look less aggressive than what's in my car. I figured it was just a little older, guess not :)

Currently tracking 7 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. The prize B and C winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

The prize A winner, @Ricky Wilson is clear to make his choice.

Q: Has anyone raced GT6 in 3-D and if so, how did you like it? I have a 60" 3-D TV but I don't want to cart my rig into the family room, at least not yet. Just want to know if it's a headache maker.

I know I don't care for 3D in the movie theater..

I don't have 3D either, BUT, take that 60" TV to your rig!!! and bring whatever you have in front of your rig to the living room... you will gain lap times:lol:

I played around with 3D a little bit a while ago. You have to wear the 3D glasses which darken the picture slightly and I only have a cheap pair that don't jive real well when being worn over normal glasses. However, if you drive from cockpit view it really looks awesome. The on screen stats float as if being projected on your visor and the dash and view is spectacular. All of the other driving views are only ho-hum.

If you decide to try it, here is a tip... make sure your PS3 Display settings are set to 'Automatic' rather than to 'Custom'.

I have an active 3D television and I've been highly disappointed in the general quality of GT6 in 3-D mode. Everything becomes quite pixelated and "old" looking. The 3-D mode in GT5 was far better, but then that was during the time when the tech segment thought 3D was really going to take off. I feel the 3-D mode in GT-6 was a half-hearted project.

Now that Lewis Hamilton has wrapped up another F1 title,I can now look forward to 'Murica's new F1 team for 2016. I just hope they do better than the Honda/McLarin & Marussia teams did this year.

I doubt they will be. In my relatively short period of following F1 I think it's pretty clear a new team doesn't come in and be anywhere close to competitive for at least a couple years. It took Force India a number of years to become midpack or better. I imagine maybe they survived past the growing pains in part due to Malya's very deep wallet and personal determination.

May want to edit your post. People may not have see the race. Or, put it inside spoiler tags.

Ya, like me, thanks for spoiling! Have to wait for this evening to see last 15 laps and at this point anything could have happened, argggg!

They might have a slight leg up because Ferrari has been helping them and Grosjean is an experienced hand (Gutierrez not so much), but it will take a bit of time, yes.
I'm kinda hoping they can slot right ahead of McLaren, though, and fight Sauber and whichever mid field team is struggling in any particular track. Right around that 12-15 slots, maybe get some points depending on reliability issues up field.
