Speaking of Ferrari's, i just got this email for an add about Shell V-Power, which I have seen before, it's from '07 but if you haven't seen it, it's pretty cool.

Can you just imagine the red tape, permits and cost to pull off this commercial?

Here's a link to a Shell commercial shown in Europe , ostensibly, they're selling gasoline, but the cars used in the video steal the show.

Ferrari pulled several of their race cars from various ages out of storage, flew them around the world and filmed them running through the streets of Rome , Rio , New York , Hong Kong, Honolulu and Monaco . No computer graphics, these are the original cars on the original streets.

The best part is the sound from the basso-profundo notes of the early, front-engine era, each scene cuts to a later generation, ending with the wail of a modern F1 car.

The sounds alone bring a tear to the eye. Even if you're not a gear head, this video will stir the soul.

There's just something about 3 liters and 14,000 RPM!

Thanks for sharing that video. I got chills! I particularly love the shot at 54 seconds when he rubs the tire on the divider. Can you imagine having the opportunity to drive the cars for this commercial? Now that would be amazing!

A big regret of mine: when they filmed this, I was living in the US and didn't get to see it...
Damn it.

The video is brilliant, though. Thanks for sharing, Aero.

May I please ask you guys with expertise, for a bit of advice/feedback on my driving and anything that can be improved?

I'm sure that Ness might be interested in feedback too.

The track record is on the 57 sec mark or so I'm told.

On the left is @Ness and on the right is me. We are both on the same kart.

On average I'm on the low 1:04's and Ness is at the low 1:03's

Any comments are really appreciated, many thanks in advance!

Is that a KZ kart? If so, isn't there supposed to be a brake bias distributor for the pedal instead of a "hand" front brake? What tyres are you guys using? Any setup involved?

I'm not really sure but I think it is a KZ, the brake bias is at the floor with a little screw you can turn by hand, brake on left foot.

The tires are MG white which are the hard ones.

No setup involved.

The lever on the right is the gear changer. Pull to go up and push to go down. ;)

I'm interested. Sign me up! :)

@Joey Haimen

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Chills and goosebumps. Thanks for sharing, first time seeing that. ;)

TBH I personally am concinced that the Audi archivements in that period of rallye time would not have been possible without the personal skills of Walter Röhrl, amazing German Rally Driver, and the following vid is a masterpiece of 1987, showing the S1 Audi Pikes Peak Rally Car, at the beginning starting issues with loss of power on the car (due to different height atmosphere values) and at the end an amazing win by beating the year before record here by 21 sec  , Walter once said that you can do everything with this S1 car, except driving it on a straight :) , enjoy guys, sry for Alemania comment partly :embarrassed:

;) @Sedia3

PS: hurry up posting SNAILagians, remember @zer05ive 's Chrismas Present :D

Really liked that. That's on my bucket list to drive the Audi S1 Quattro on Pikes Peak. Love the sound of that inline 5.

Sorry the banners took so long.....I have been very sick last few days, plus I didn't get hardly any photo submissions to choose from.

On that note, good luck too everyone on Sunday....

If you like Wolter Röhrl, how about him going around the Nordschleife in the wet with a Porsche 997 GT3 RS?

Knowing that envy is a terrible emotion and should be avoided, even so, how can you like cars and not be jealous of this man?

Loved that last one, Paddy. Great picture by @Wolfsatz.
