The data for the February-2016 season has been archived and can be found in the link on this page

The last time I looked, this was the SNAIL Spec Racing thread. SNAIL has become an umbrella for different types of racing series including boost racing, endurance racing, a tuning allowed series, and a spec series on PCars. I expect SNAIL to branch out to Assetto Corsa once it is available on consoles. All of these individual series are allowed, even encouraged, to post things from their series here in the "main" thread. There is even an option to collect $hells for promoting another SNAIL series in this thread.

... it is becoming a bit overkill now.. a few here and there was good. Now is just spam!
Sorry Wolf, but like any other spam, you don't have to read it. Just scroll past, nothing to see here. We can all live together on this page, can't we? PCars is the inevitable step up. More and more will be switching because GT is just not cutting it anymore. I was hoping you would have been one of the first to switch. This game was made for your talent. Cheers.

Promotion and relegation is complete for this month. The drivers list has been updated and can be found here. The necessary documents are updated so that the scoring sheets can be constructed.

All February division threads will be locked in the next few minutes. Division managers are cleared to create new threads for the March season. Good luck to everyone tonight.

True.. but would you like me posting my pictures 10 times a day? still spam right?

Fuji Tips.
It always more important to see what is in front of you rather than drive glued to your rear view mirror.

T4 - T5 transition it is easy to get carried away if you don't have the right line. You don't have to use the brakes but you do have to let go of the throttle perhaps even shift down to get to the right speed and traction.

T16 - Tricky Tricky Tricky
Hugging the inside or attacking the inside can be dangerous and a bad place for contact. The fastest way to get a good exit is to take it as wide as possible (which prompts the inside attacks). Following cars have the responsibility to avoid contact at the apex.

  • The correct or optimal racing line in certain corners, like the last turn at Fuji for instance, can look very wide to the untrained eye. The undiscerning racer cannot tell the difference between a driver taking the correct racing line, & one going wide into these types of corners, he thinks the chap in front has made an error & stuffs it up the inside in a futile effort to overtake. When the driver in front accelerates towards the apex, the driver behind now finds he has placed his car in the wrong position, & there is contact. Once again, by slowing both cars up the bad driver has let the chaps in front pull away some, & those behind catch up. The intelligent racer knows there is usually no real advantage to this, & does his overtaking on the following straight or when he sees someone has actually gone wide in these types of corners.

T1 - Got amazing draft speed! Now you have to break in time. Just because you see a hole doesn't mean it will be there when YOU get there.

T10 - Probably the most common place on track to overshoot it. Avoid a penalty and do not block the cars behind you. if you over run turn 10; the safest way is to carry up the hill and merge back on track at the top away from the racing line.

I'm sure Pcars is a lot of fun it's definitely the best racer on ps4 and for that probably any system atm. In the long run however I think it will serve as more of a bus stop between GT6 and GT7. I could be wrong this is just how I think it will end up. GT6 is still fun however, We need to get the TT going again. We need to keep idea's flowing and try to think of new ways to add to the GT6 experience. Ways that can then easily be transitioned to GT7. For me a this point I feel that getting into a whole new racer series is pointless considering that when GT7 makes its way on stage I'll be dropping anything else where it stands.
I do understand however, everyone's desire to get into the new ps4 platform and to enjoy the next generation of, well, everything. I am dying to go there myself. It will be fantastic and for some right now I'm sure it is. So lets enjoy all options on the table no need to compete and say this is better or that is better. Race where you are having fun. One things for sure, GT better get things rolling soon because the PS3 is ready to retire sooner then later.

My 2 cents worth about "Beyond GT-6":
For now, and the foreseeable future, I will go no further.

Piggy Bank will (maybe) only provide a PS-4 slowly - GT-7 will be well after that. Will not join the PCars epidemic, or any other online racing offered.

Just my thoughts and plans. Not a criticism of any enthusiasm or racing series.

As long as you use the spoiler function post away. I'm sure Nemesis would love to have more photos to choose from for banners.

Thanks for the tips now if only I could apply them! Especially turn 10, I'm hit or miss there. When I hit it I make up huge ground when I miss I miss HUGE! (Sorry @MajorBlixem )
