Well after many years of fun reliable service my DFGT has suddenly decided to pack it in!!!
So I will be on controller for first time in many years tonight. So I pre apologize in advance and try my best not to ruin anyone's race.

Sadly depending how this goes I may be the next SNAIL member to leave GT6

It looks like my tax refund might have to go towards a ps4, Project Cars and a new wheel just to feed my addiction. :crazy:

I still like the gameplay of GT over PCars. Ya ya ... The sound , the pictures ... That will all come with the move to the next gen system. Then I will actually do comparisons.

After playing PCars for seven weeks now, I agree somewhat with the gameplay statement. There are definitely some annoying aspects to the lobbies in PCars but once you figure out how to work around them its pretty good. PD has alot of experience here so they have it down pretty good. For a first gen game PCars has done well. Everything else is much superior to GT6, this is good because the developers at PD know they have to come up with something better than the competition. I for one can't wait for GT7 to arrive, if it is indeed better, then the wait will be well worth it!

One thing that's cool on the PS4, that we have started to do in our practice rooms, is use whats called a Chat Party, this is done outside of any game in PSN itself. Once you join the Party, you can talk to another person no matter where they are or what game they are playing and the audio is amazing. The only downside to this is the 8 person max so it won't work on race night if there are more than that.
 
I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced what happened to me last night.

For the final combo of the night, the Honda at Fuji I was told that my car was down on PP/HP. So I figured I didn't do the oil change, and proceeded to get that done and come back to the lobby. I raced the first race then before the second race I checked the PP/HP and it was still down some 27 HP from what it should be. I checked the car settings and found the Power Limiter at 94.9%.

I bought this car new last week, drove it about 20 laps with some decent times, sub 1:34s mostly. I was told by someone else in the room that it was a good time. I didn't race on Sunday due to the connection issues, so the next time I touched the car was last night.

Any idea how this would happen?
 
I had the same experience when we raced the Lotus 111R a couple weeks ago. It wouldn't let me in the room and I had to reset the transmission settings even though it was a brand new car.

This really upsets me. People that have been here for years are leaving so fast just because connection issues are sometimes really bad. Where is your dedication? Last night's practice room was perfect. Calm the **** down y'all

Just to add my 2 'penneies' to this,:odd::odd:
To be honest I think I will eventually get PCars when i eventually retire my ps3 to the attic sealed up in its box for my grand kids or great grand kids to auction for big bucks one day I hope. How ever I know I will always be loyal to PD and GT. I for one do not doubt the job PD will do with GT7. Let's look back at history for a minute here...



I mean we have seen 'pretenders' come and go [not that I am down playing any game as some raised the bar high enough for PD to go back and do their homework. 'Pretenders' I have tried on all platforms and still wasn't convinced but only suited to fill the gap before the latest GT was released include Collin Mcrae Rally, WRC, F1 series, GRID, DRIFT, Forza [which came very close to converting me if it had not been exclusive to the 'I soo can't stand ' xbox/ peew peew :irked::mad::mad::grumpy::grumpy::yuck::yuck::lol::lol:

I think it was a good Idea for PD to wait and not rush into the market. One thing I like I about PD is they are up to date with technology so don't be surprised when GT7 does come out it will blow our minds as they will push the PS4 to its limits like they have always done. Don't be surprised either when they have a few niggling technical issues at first but it will still give you that experience that no other game gives.
But if you are not convinced yet then my last point should do so.
PD/GT is the only game that has a licensed race driver as the president/director/ boss of bosses. When GT6 came out who foresaw Vision GT and all the wonderful cars [TOYOTA FT.,GOLF, ASTON MARTIN] which were a joy to drive and in true PD form they also gave us some howlers lol.

Well thats what I am hoping for :bowdown::bowdown: and hope they get to fix the sound. So let us not fret.
We shall all probably end up here again with GT7 in a year or two and all the PCars defectors will come back to where they belong :lol::lol:

Good morning fellow SNAILs!

Just your weekly update to what's happening over on the Project CARS side of the league... The following images showcase our latest event results, as well as combo voting for the week and race schedule. We are continuing to grow little by little at WRC. This past week we needed to split into 2 lobbies due to a lower grid limitation at Cadwell. This was our first multi-divisional experience in WRC and for the most part went well as members stepped up to take care of hosting and scoring duties for the evening. Thanks again to all who helped out and maybe we'll see one or two more next time! :)

Cool to watch the video, I only go back to GT5 so my ties are not as strong as some. Like I mentioned, GT7 has to be better or they will lose way more folks.

But for now, PCars is so much better and we still get to race against fellow SNAIL's and Mango's. And one other thing Matic, as fellow brits, we do have to somewhat support Slightly Mad Studios:D
 
I will get GT7 when it ever comes out, but for the time being I am playing the best that's available. 6 is getting old, PS3 can't handle the processing needed for the graphic, sound and physics. For me it's nothing about loyalty, I just want the best experience I can get at this time. PS3 for me is dead, other than as a netflix portal.

Start saving your pennies, we (you), are all going to have to buy the new platform eventually anyway when 7 comes out. In the meantime, PCars is an awesome step up and is only going to get better with PCars 2 on the horizon, gt has it's work cut out.

I really miss my buddies from D5 and Monday night pack racing. At least I still have the Mangos to insult and offend me on a regular basis.

C'mon over to the dark side, the water is warm here.....
