Hello,

I received the invite to join and I'm interested. I will purchase the required vehicles per the instructions. I look forward to seeing a response. Thx.

@Beastmodep

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

As of this post, here is the current list of the ButtKicker Challenge IV picks. If you are a finalist, please read the instructions and terms and conditions of the contest that I have sent to you. Once you are authorized to make your numbers selections, click the 'Reply' button below and then add your GTP Username next to any numbers that are still available. Be sure that you don't make more picks than the number of picks you have earned. Once you're done making your picks, you need to delete the text above the ButtKicker logo (it looks like this: [qu0te="username, post: 1234567, member: 123456"]). After you've deleted that, hit the 'Post Reply' button down below. Please be sure that you are replying to the most current list before making your picks. Good luck!

It says an error has occurred you have been signed out of psn (80710016)
1st I would try redoing your connection through your ps3 (don't just turn off your router).
Then do a PS3 diagnostic make sure everything is going through.
Check your Ethernet cable(could be broken).
If that don't work try phoning your internet provider and see what they have to say.

Hey guys. So, this past Sunday, I had a very bad race. See, I consider myself to be a sort of an MR specialist, so when I saw that combo with the GTO, I made sure to practice it through the week to really fine tune my line and brake points to give myself that extra edge. I reached a point at which I was able to pull 2:12 laps pretty consistently, and I was happy with that. On race night, things didn't go so well. The car behaved unpredictably at times, and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. No matter what I tried, nothing seemed to work. I know this car has a bit of a reputation for being difficult to control, easy to spin. The thing is, cars with that sort of reputation tend to be the easiest cars for me to control. I make liftoff oversteer work for me. Anyway, I ended up getting really pissed off, and I wasn't thinking clearly. I made some very poor judgement calls, and ended up with three IRs filed against me, one of them about an incident I had absolutely no recollection of whatsoever. I've been really disgusted with myself over the past couple days over this, b/c I know I'm better than that. Looking back at it now, I should have just retired from that race.

Anyway, the first thing I did yesterday after work, was try and practice the combo again. I was wondering if maybe the physics was somehow different when I practiced compared to online. Then, I found the problem:
20160321_190829.jpg

The weird thing is, it doesn't pull left all the time when the stick is in the neutral position. It just happens at random. This is actually my fourth controller, and I have never experienced this kind of failure before. I can deal with a bad spring, but this looks like some kind of bad sensor. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do about this now. It doesn't make much sense to buy another controller that I might not even use for a whole year, assuming it lasts more than three months..... Out of all the controllers I've had for PS3, this one failed the fastest. It would make more sense to get a wheel that will also work on PS4, so that I'm set when GT7 comes out, but they seem a bit out of my price range right now. Maybe I'll see what I get from my tax refund or something.

At any rate, serious racing is out of the question with this controller, so I'm quitting SNAIL until I can get it resolved. With the exception of my horrible performance during this past Sunday, I really enjoyed racing with you guys. You're all really fast. I have never experienced anything else like it. I keep learning more stuff about car control and whatnot. It never ends, does it?

Take the controller apart and clean the pods there is a little piece of dirt in there somewhere.

Edit: or the rubber shifted.

My controller did the same thing after it fell a few times,

I hate it when the rubber shifts.
You might want to try using a smaller one. :)

Look at @Die_Birdy_Die go! Mr Fixit to the rescue! Maybe a SNAIL repair shop thread might be in order?
I'm cheap so I will take it apart before I replace it :) I also googled the error code to see what the common fixes are and those were the top suggestions.

get a wheel become a real racer :) i did the same as @DesertPenguin09 and got the g29, it has it's down falls as dp will tell you < no clutch , gear shifter on ps3 but time to practice so it will come to life for the ps4 !!

i am finding it alot harder to get the hang of it than i thought it would, but can see lots to gain . think i am faster but when you lose the back end it bites hard ,,,LOL

good luck

I'm not sure if I read this correctly. Can you confirm that you practiced offline? Offline and Online physics are totally different. Practicing offline and then try to race online will screw you up big time.

I didn't even realize you were on a controller. The lap times you put up is pretty impressive for a controller. Anyway would hate to see you leave Snail just because of 1 bad race. Stick around...you had 5 good races on Sunday

Online physics are different than offline, it's sort of like having the wrong tires on the car. I remember I didn't know that either when I joined SNAIL, I was doing 2:04s in the Senna WSR F3 car on Silverstone and I was expecting LLOYDZ to get a 2:03 - but because online physics are different I was stuck in 2:06 and LLOYDZ was touching 2:05s... The car was snappier and a little less responsive, too.

Also, could you maybe grab a used controller from somewhere, like craigslist? If not I have a controller I NEVER use that I might be able to ship.

hey all,
just a reminder that
we are coming to the end of the march season
and I will start on PAPA MANGO'S REPORT so if there is any thing
you would like me to put in there then just pm me with the info and such.
If any one wants to help with ideas I am open to them and for the number crunchers, statisticians, photographers, graphic designers and yes the PCAR defectors as well, this goes to you too.
There more ideas we have the better it will look.
deadline for submissions of pics, stories, etc will be next week monday 28th
THANKS

1st I would try redoing your connection through your ps3 (don't just turn off your router).
Then do a PS3 diagnostic make sure everything is going through.
Check your Ethernet cable(could be broken).
If that don't work try phoning your internet provider and see what they have to say.
I found out that the error code my ps3 is displaying apparently means that the PS Network is down..
It's going on three days now with no online access. I hope they get their poop together soon cause this is getting ridiculous!!!

Well wouldn't you no it PSN is back up!!!
Just in time. I just hope stays that way.

Wow I thought that would have gone at least a bit more than 1 post! Detail pics will follow tomorrow. Right now I need to practice.

Your $hells are on the way!
lol what a guess! The top box threw me off but the bottom one was a dead giveaway. Plus I checked their website to see what they sold and the boxes looked to big for decals :)
For what kind of car? @nmcp1
Jetta?
