The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Lotus Elise 111R '04 (Sports: Hard) at Deep Forest Raceway / Reverse (8 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Drewspeed wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Light Car Company Rocket '07 (Racing: Hard) at Twin Ring Motegi East Course (8 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Ricky Wilson gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Jonesman59 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Here are a pair of short videos from Daytona. The first is my fastest lap on video, 2:28.971. This was a couple laps after we finally got the speed limiting issue resolved. The second video takes place on my last lap of that stint in the bus stop. "What not to do".

The car looks like a handful... Understeery in the bus stop and a little twitchy in the international horseshoe. But I do love me some RX-7!

Currently tracking 13 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

The prize A winner @Matthew Barry is clear to make his selection.
The prize B winner @Ricky Wilson is clear to use or pass the freeze.

The prize C winner must wait until the stewards have reviewed incidents.

So what's the good word on some snail events on the PC?

A few SNAILs play Project CARS on PC, but nothing organized at this time I do not believe.

As I've recently mentioned the PS4 will most likely be my last console. I used my PS3 and now PS4 for strictly racing so there's no need to continue along with consoles when PC generally provides a better package for the sim racer. When the PS4 becomes "last gen", I will probably make the switch to PC. I could very well see starting a SNAIL thing on the PC platform, but that's years away for me. Maybe somebody else in the meantime will get something going???

I'm not one who likes to toot his own horn, but what the hell !!! Here are the top 3 finishers from Div 5 from Sunday night.

I know there were some SNAIL's in iRacing, and I've been back and forth about whether to get PCars or not. Racing wont start again for me in earnest until about June.

Coach, you're racing in a 2nd gen? Hard to tell with the mic and all the track noise, did you swap out the rotary? I know I have been mulling the idea over for my 1st gen. As much as I love (obsess over!) the rotary, 4.6l V8's and duratech/MZR engines are cheaper, more plentiful and have more aftermarket.

It's a 1989 RX-7 with a 1999 Camaro 3800 V6 swapped in. This was the first real test with that motor, hence our issues in the first half of the race. When you're going 90 mph as your top speed in the trioval, you're in the way more than you're racing. I'm glad with got it resolved and went 134 in the trioval :)

Yeah, thought that engine was a little to low pitched, and sounded wrong in the down shifts. Did you guys fab up the mounts or go with a grannys speed shop set up?

I didn't have anything to do with it, so I don't know. This car is my cousins and he lives in Texas, about an hour from Dallas. He and my uncle (his Dad) did the work on it. They previously did a Chevy 350 V8 swap into an different RX-7 (RX-350) and it was nasty. They ran it in a couple One Lap of America events and some track days before selling to help fund his Factory Five Daytona Coupe build.

Great racing mbracer11! Man he's fast! I was sitting pretty in first place on combo 2 race 2, next moment boooooom lap 8/8... last corner he came flying by! Well done!

Yes @MajorBlixem that young Man is fasssssst!Congrats @Matthew Barry on the overall Win,capturing all 3 poles,4 podiums,,,,,,,damn! And to @Engmatic1 for the P2,3 P2 podiums,,,on the first night in the new Div.!

A buddy and I often drool checking out their website.
I can literally walk to this Company from my place. If you are not familiar with their products, give them a look and make sure you have a napkin near by to catch your drool. Does he plan to race the Daytona?

It's great to have fast drivers in SNAIL but, at the risk of sounding like a grouch, it does seem a bit unfair that people can be placed in divisions that they are clearly too fast for. 17 wins in D6 last season along with 4 wins, 3 poles and all 6 fastest laps (which are mid D2 speed) in his first night in D4 would seem to indicate that the original TT time submitted didn't reflect his real speed.

I'm not by any means having a go at the person who made the placement.

You're not grouchy... just very observant. ;)

He started in the higher div's but use to go to bed earlier then we finished a night. So his finishes weren't a reflection of his performance so he got moved down. Now he is staying up until race night is over He'll be back up there ... Soon!
