Since this coming Sunday is the first league night for September-2016 Season I needto archive the Aug-2016 Data.

Only D2 for Aug-21 is outstanding. This is a great effort from all this season. Thank you very much.

The next ROC is Friday September 9, 2016

Look out for an update over the weekend for the Labor Day Weekend Endurance Race on Sunday September 4, 2016. We have enough potential to make one competitive room. We will see how next week's sign-ups / cancellations go and decide if we need another room or not. In the meantime get those Mine's Skylines and do some laps

I wish people were excited for Pack Racing as they are for Cat & Mouse. Nothing against C+M, it's just a shame such a great series got brushed under the rug so nonchalantly. I'd love to get it going again but no one seems to show up on Monday nights. And then we tried Friday but that turned into C+M. What other night would be highly active to try Pack Racing again?

Doesn't have to stay the same either, whatever you want to keep it going. The one thing that can't change is using weak boost. We need that to keep the field together over a long race. Any ideas?

For once DP and I agree on something. I so miss the pack racing nights we had back before the dark side took over. I learned how to race clean, door to door and front to back in a train of 16 cars with you guys. I wish PCars had a boost setting so we could revive the series over here. Not to mention the butt clenching fun that was had by all. My best memory was saying something so rude and funny that most of you were laughing so hard you couldn't keep the cars on the track. The good ol days.

The sad thing is people just stopped showing up. Regulars that were there every week. And no posts explaining why, just leaving. Shame really

I've talked to quite a few over the last little while about pack and from everything I've heard. IT"S ALL @Mike Lobban FAULT! He made pack what it was :)

In all seriousness, I would tend to agree. A little personality goes a long way.

I also think it got too gimmicky. Just my 2 cents though.

Too many cars. The old school Miata is all that series needed.

Short-medium length tracks were best as they provided the best racing whilst not turning into a slingshot competition.

MNM was supposed to be about learning close quarters racing, not variety.

Less is more.

Why? You think less people show up in the summer?

Yep. Especially to support something "new".

GT6 will keep decreasing in number no matter what we do. With all of the games coming out on the PS4 and GTS due out in Oct, Snail will either have to adapt to the new system or die.

Naa. It won't die anytime soon. Could it [Sunday] dwindle further? Sure. I don't think it'll die though. However, as games progress it may need to make dramatic changes in order to follow to the new systems. Now given enough time it could. GT is behind the eight ball. The title no longer has the clout to determine what a "real driving simulator" is. They've gone from being the leader to a follower.

Well seeing as we are now down to 4 divisions and only 34 drivers last sunday... from 8 divisions and almost 90 drivers.

GOOD LUCK IN THE NEW SEASON EVERYONE
RACE HARD / RACE CLEAN / RACE SNAIL

Yeah and as they upgrade they too will go away. However we still have the penguin and he's got a new system with P cars... so hay!
Does GTS not support online racing as we know it in GT6?

I've found in recent years that I've gained a significant appreciation for classic imports. Maybe because I like things that are "different" and those aren't things I see much of. Classic muscle is common here in the rust belt. I see that stuff all the time in the summer. I thought I saw an old Honda S500 earlier this year... Nearly broke my neck. :)
Definitely different, and in general better. They were compact and basic, with attractive innovative designs. Just look at today's STI, it's a truck compared to the original 2.5 RS. More powerful, but bulkier without the charm

I think we are in a limbo state right now. New sims such as pcars and ac, are great and are absorbing more of our time. As for Snail Spec Sundays, it is a wait and see as to how gtsport will accommodate our current layout. If the open online is similar to gt6 and allows for prohibiting tuning it could be a smooth transition. This is the big hang up as to why pcars and ac wouldn't work for our league and specific needs. Here's to hoping gt sport has what we need. If it does, I forsee a huge renewal of the series, membership, and participation. Call me optimistic.
