Said no Snail in the last 5 years.

Juat get the Porsche looking good and you'll be happy.

Does anyone have good recommendations for Dirt Rally? It's on sale this week only

again.. Merry X mass all..

I was wondering if any Snail owns a Dodge Challenger? Specifically the 6 liter one.

Last year I drove a Charger for a whole week and I surprisingly enjoyed it a lot.

Hefty discounts at the dealerships right now. I've just spent a few Ks on Audi maintenance and again I need to get some done... With 120 miles being driven daily... I'm considering buying a new car instead of dropping a few Ks every few months.

While I was mainly looking at really good MPGs... most of them don't ring the 'appeal' bell.

Thoughts?

Honestly I've never been too interested in the Challenger because of it's full size approach to classic Muscle cars and I like the more compact Pony Cars. But I did find this while researching if the newer Pentastar had the same problems as the early production models had.

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/...astar-v6-significantly-enhanced-for-2016.html

"Arguably, this engine’s signature new feature is variable valve lift. For most driving situations, this arrangement operates in a low-lift mode for greater torque production and fuel efficiency, but as more power is required, it switches to higher valve lift for greater power and improved combustion. On its own, this technology increases efficiency by 2.7 percent, which in engineering terms is huge."

The Challenger has VTEC?

I have to second the "Toyobaru twins". I'm a V8 American car type, but if I were in the market for a $30k sporting car with great fuel economy, the FR-S or BRZ would be at the top of my list. Only downside I can see about this car is it only has 2 seats. Otherwise, it appears to be a great all around sports car.
Another option to think about if open to less economy and more performance is the 2016 or newer Camaro. The Camaro SS1 performance/ $ value cannot be touched. 460hp in a balanced chassis, and can still knock down avg mpgs of low 20's. Styling I would imagine might be the biggest hangup for some...you either love it or hate it, but there is no denying it as a great car. That one is the next car in my crosshairs down the road. If your not in a hurry and open to the Camaro, my advice would be to look for a used '16. I have seen 1 year used Camaro SS' for low-mid $30k range.
Good luck to you.
The GT86/BRZ "technically" has four seats, although I haven't tried sitting in one. I think they'd be fine in a pinch but not for regular use.

How has the week been for you guys so far? Still off or back to work?
Pretty great! I was in line to have Christmas off this year so we took advantage of it and came over to Maui for four days. Got sone great diving in, drove to the summit of Haleakala and just enjoying some time with no responsibility. As an unrrquested bonus I'm off through Jan 4th, so I'll be nice and fresh for our first race of '17. How was the road trip?

Working my last hour before my second straight 4 day weekend.
After watching Rogue 1 with my son we went back to the whole Star Wars series and we are watching 1 Star Wars episode per night.

I feel the force is very strong in me and I foresee the young Master Bowler is having a scotch and cigar right now....

I feel the force is very strong in me and I see Bowler is having a 15 year old scotch and cigar from a small island nation that will not be named right now....

Made that a little more accurate and up to the minute.

Avantages of being Canadian, eh.... that small island which shall not be named will be visited by me in 99 days 17 Hours and 40 minutes...

Very nice. I had to take additional measures to obtain mine. Hopefully they will be allowed to be imported here sooner rather than later.
