@Wolfsatz I've been reading that your wanting to buy a car!
I just bought one and it's a Subaru WRX! super ride!

I think I'll bring it out tonight at Deep Forest raceway and see how it runs.
I'll give you my opinion after.

WOW! and WOW!
It is a blast to drive, provided you understand AWD!
I know you need room for kid's but what a car!

Race capture to follow.

Room for kids?
Mine (sedan/4dr) has room for four adults (five if they're not fat), or two adults and two sets of scuba gear (including four tanks and drysuits if necessary). When you absolutely, positively need to make it to the dive site quickly...

After watching Rogue 1 with my son we went back to the whole Star Wars series and we are watching 1 Star Wars episode per night.

@MajorBlixem, I thoroughly enjoyed Rogue One and thought it was just about perfect.

McLaren F1 GTR Race Car Base Model *cough cough*

Absolutely. I'm almost as big a McLaren fanboy as I am a Toyota fanboy. If you cut me, I bleed McLaren Orange. #McLarenwillrise #AlonsoMcLaren2017 #Let's race the GTR...DO IT!

I never realized how much a modern F1 car rolls around until I saw them in person at COTA. It seems they always look very very flat on t.v. My gosh those things create a lot of mechanical grip, especially consiering how little they weigh. Pretty awesome. 👍

I was really surprised at how much you can hear things rattling through the corners. You can literally hear the mechanical grip..I was there a few years back and finally noticed later in the race that it was the suspension loading and unloading through the turns...even though most of the components were carbon fiber, the cars still had a very pronounced mechanical sound in the turns.

Although, not half as bad as the rattle trap Indy cars I watch every year at the Detroit Grand Prix

Hello Everyone. It's been fun and it's been frustrating, but this is a nice racing league. I've made new friends. Plus, increased my driving capability. With that said, I now currently posses a new PS4 Uncharted Bundle Pack. Plus, Battlefield 1. Please add me to the inactive list for the time being. I'm going to be killing people, blowing things up, and shooting planes out of the sky for a while. COME GET SOME! My Playstation Network ID is the same, TBongX

Please feel free to message me whenever you're playing BF1 and we can jam on together. I've been digging that game for about two months now.

Starting up the PS4 Pro today.
The Ancient One can't remember the Username.

Never mind - I stumbled into the answer.
I've been using mine for about two weeks. Can't believe the difference it's made in a few of the games I've been playing.

You know, I really like racing that Trans Am - it seems to be a great equalizer as well. I think it might be fun to have a Monday or Tuesday night, maybe twice a month, show up, pick a track and random, 20 minutes practice, Qualify and run two races. What do you think? @singlepaddy?

The difference in the Pro is it offers VR correct?

@vsfit - What kind of difference, graphics? And is that the Pro vs. the standard PS4 then?

My single focus is Gran Turismo.
Don't care to kill people or break things (unless it's connected to my driving rig - as in the brake spring)
I only play Project Cars, Dirt Rally and AC. Not much for the shooter games..I was trying to find that American Trucker or the Euro version of it. Not sure, that might be PC only.

@GTLehman - Yes, I was comparing the Pro vs. Standard. The biggest thing I noticed was that rough edges during gameplay smoothed out. I'm not sure of and nor do I care if it's the console or not, but things appeared much smoother and clearly defined. The road surfaces appear to transition from one type of texture to another much more realistically as well. Not much but enough that you immediately notice it.

I basically bought it for the VR features. As more games are added to the list I get more excited about trying all the features associated with that...

Euro Truck Simulator, I think it's called.
I read something about the YouTube King of that game the other day, streaming 10+ hour drives with 1000+ people watching.... Go figure.

I used to love DOOM and Quake. My buddy and I used to play DOOM from 10 at night until 3AM almost every night - over a 28K modem!
I haven't played a shooter for years, but have been enjoying Star Wars Battlefront, mainly because it's Star Wars. It's interesting though - I have a bit of a hard time playing a stormtrooper shooting humans, unless it's online against live players...

I loved playing shooters until old age caught up and took over. I can't keep up to the speed of the decision making needed to survive in online play. I go way back to the original Doom, Quake, Unreal Tournament,(I JUST SLAUGHTERED THAT GUY), and all the medal of honor and call of dutys. Remember Soldier of Fortune? Best gore for the times, it was my favorite. I must have killed thousands of terrorists in my career. Ahhhh, the good old days.

I tried pCars after getting a ps4. l still like GT better as a console game. I will try to work out the tuning adjustments at some time and eventually go online with pCars. for now it's like starting all over. not so much fun. pCars makes my head spin, as much as the cars.

Stop on by any time and we will be glad to help you with some of your issues. We all tend to choose the things we know, vs the challenge of the unknown and new. Take a dive the water is fine once you get use to it.

@Mike Lobban those were my favs as well during my college days,we configured a network in the Electronics lab and played those games for hours and hours. Also liked Starcraft on LAN.Are we a bunch of Old Geeks or what?

Promotion and relegation is complete and the drivers list has been updated. All drivers who submitted a time trial via the form to do so have been notified of their division placement. Check the list to verify which division you will be running in this month. Don't be the guy that shows up in the wrong room tonight. If there are any issues with anything, let me know and I will try and get it taken care of before racing tonight. I will be away from the computer all day but I will be able to get notifications of messages on GTPlanet I'm off to the golf course for the Hangover Classic, a tradition of average golf and above average drinking since 2009.
