Happy birthday to Tex and Rednose !!!
Welcome back to the Dragon, and congrats on the Prize A !!!
I hope your appearance isn't just a one and done. Stick around for awhile.
Thanks. Unless something dire comes up, I'll be back for at least this one since I'm pickin' it. You just want me to stick around in the hopes I'll get promoted to D1 so you can hand me a right smart whuppin'.
I wasn't at all certain I would be eligible to win a prize, given my (HON) status but it appears that I am.
Don't think ya'll are gonna' like this much but, gonna' get this in now so everyone has some time to come to terms with it.
I had a look
here and discovered something that mildly surprised me. While not really surprising but still kind of astounding in the number, there are still over 900 cars in the GT6 stable that SNAIL hasn't ran. What did surprise me was there are still eligible tracks SNAIL
has not ran. Winter is coming folks.
I was gonna' pick something to take to the Francorchamps but that track has been run more than any other, and for good reason I will say, but in the interests of being "original" and knocking another track off the list of those eligible, taking into account that traditionally, when this track, in other versions, has been picked it's a one and done, if for no other reason than the lack of laps involved, it will most likely be a sure thing to offer a chance to someone to knock another off the list.
I did entertain the other version of this track first and even taking a lesser insane car to Special Stage Route 5 Clubman / Reverse. I figured to get this survival event done first. After this there'll be 8 track layouts, 2 layouts that are versions of this combo, SNAIL hasn't done yet. If the Prize winners in the coming weeks get in cahoots with one another, those 8 can be knocked out before SNAIL makes the transition to another platform.
Personally, the goal of hitting every eligible track GT6 has to offer is something that oughta' get done before this track list is no longer available.
At any rate, without further ado.
Prize A
Pagani Huayra '13 AKA Ice Dragon PP-623/630 HP-729/768 MR WT1350 Racing: Medium
Circuit de la Sarthe 2005 (No Chicanes)
3:24.279 was my best lap. I'm sure this will be a safe time as this car must be tip toed in several places.
Something I did notice however, if the back end wants to Littlefinger you, feed it about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle and it'll start to understeer. If the front end goes all Arya on you and tries to send you to the great sand trap in the sky, get off the brakes and the gas and it'll stop trying to cut your throat. Be ready though, as soon as you do that, you'll probably need to feed back some of that go fast pedal to keep it from swapping Arya for Littlefinger and making you just a hairy 🤬, cussing the Lord of Light and wishing you were back in the Rocket waving a dragonglass dagger and hanging a middle finger out the side of the car.
See ya'll in couple weeks.
