Seriously, this thread has been a place to talk about just about anything related to racing, virtual or real, for quite a long time. People have called out others for some pretty small stuff over the years and it's usually just been left to die after a couple of hours so let it go already. This place and those that work behind the scenes are going to be very busy this week. It would be appreciated if everyone could just get along with each other for a couple of weeks.

@Wardez sign up :)

And dont forget guys "www.snailracing.org" links directly to this thread. So if you host an online lobby its a good way to advertise SNAIL and spark people's interest if you put the website in as the Room Name. I may even leave my ps4 on some nights while I'm asleep just to have a lobby stay open with the website as the room name so people can see the website as they browse rooms.

Will $hells continue into GTS? I've never collected any (I wouldnt use them anyways) But for the people that do, maybe some sort of a refer a friend $hell system would also help get people motivated to bring on board new people. Someone joined your online lobby and showed some interest in SNAIL? Have them create an account here, sign up like normal and have them say "xxxx referred me". We grow, and the member who referred gets a few $hells (just an idea :))

With my GT6 career now officially over here's some fun facts about my racing career in GT6

Total Distance driven: 248,453 KM (154,381 miles)
I spent 1,757 hours ( That is 220 8-hour working days) behind the wheel
Total races: 3,693
Won a measly 770 of them (mostly because I practice against @Rednose58 :lol:)
My total career earnings was Cr. 235,772,545 (I wish that could be in my bank account!)
Longest driving distance with 1 car: WSR with 4,352 km (2,704 miles)
Fastest Car: Aston Martin One-77: 503 KM/H (303 mph)
My favourite course was Mount Panorama with 13,438 KM (8,350 miles)
My most successful car was the Honda S2000 '06 with 30 wins

Now over to GT Sport!

I would like to offer my $.02 if that is ok about why membership is down in GT6. If you look at GT5 for example, right before GT6 released, if i am correct or wrong on this, the numbers were dwindling in GT5 right before GT6 released. Same thing has happened with GT6 that the number of players and divisions have dwindled because of the expectation of GT Sport getting closer and closer to release plus the issues with online connectivity mattered alot where all of us have dealt with online connectivity issues in GT6 that was not a fault of our own.

Ever since i gotten that invite in March 2013 to join Snail when i was racing in the online lobbies where some were just driving with no sense whatsoever and i guess i was being watched by Snail management and the founders of Snail that i got the invite because i believe in racing clean on the track even if the other drivers drive dirty in online lobbies where other drivers drove crazily. Yes i have had penalties put on me even at times where i missed my braking points getting into another driver or caught cutting corners and i respect the fact their is a penalty system to keep drivers in check so we don't have drivers treating Snail like we driving in destruction derby.

Just like in real life racing on the track, their are people who watch over what happens on the track and will penalize people for overly aggressive driving and either fine them or flat out boot them off the team in racing if they get way too aggressive. I rather have an a**:lol::lol: in the Snail community who is a moderator of the racing rather than have a softy that overlooks every dive bomb or overly aggressive move on the track. Just like in racing outside of gaming where if a driver gets too rowdy with their attitude or starts fighting, they are not allowed to race. Same with virtual racing, have to keep a cool attitude no matter how aggressive the other driver might be. It is to show that not just me and others are cool headed even if the other person acts like a jacka** on the track.

Another reason number of players and divisions would go down is because of life itself. Don't know what someone else is going through when they need some time off of virtual racing. Whether it be having children, a death in the family, going through depression, just through life itself where things just happen in life we cannot control and if people need to be off of virtual racing for awhile because of life itself, that is normal. I love that this league in Snail has rules to abide by in virtual racing just like the same rules apply in real life racing and same rules apply when driving on the road. I always will stick by Snail no matter what.

It was an honor getting that invite in March 2013 and never look back. I like their are people who others would consider a jackass rather than have a softy that would just overlook the online drivers that skirt the rules. Things have to be kept in check in order for this online league not just for current members to stay but new members to be interested.

Thank you everyone for all these years of online racing and thank you all for your support in Snail all these years. Thank you to all the people who founded this online league. Thank you all for your part in Replay Uploading, Scoring, Data Specialist, Broadcasting, Hosting. Thank you all to people who have kept the rules in check and make sure we all are following the same rules that would not just apply in racing in the real world but driving in local roads and highways. I cannot thank the people enough for sending me that invite in 2013 and me racing not just online in GT5/GT6 but continuing that tradition for me to race once again once Christmas comes. Each and everyone of you are appreciated and is not said enough. Here is to Snail forever.

IT's not that I wanted to leave champ it's that I had too, (except for GT, that was a wanting to leave the whiners) being up until midnight on a Sunday then getting up at 5 am wasn't working well. Hopefully with the release of GTS someone will put together a Saturday night race so that I can get involved again.

Missing all the great racing.

First thing that happened to me was the screen froze before the 2nd combo started for the first race and then it just kept disconnecting me the rest of the night even though i had an internet connection on my computer.. Luckily i was able to upload the replays from the first 3 races. Even though PD might have a couple people still helping to maintain online connectivity for GT6, I think that it has come to an end for GT6 with PD because of GT Sport releasing tomorrow. So with GT Sport releasing tomorrow, i think that the online component now to GT6 is nearly non existent. I think what happened with me last night was showing the last hurrah happening in GT6 with GT Sport releasing on Tuesday.

I've had the problem of not being able to see Schmed since he returned a couple weeks ago, we initially fixed this by having him host the night's racing. After being able to see all 11 drivers as soon as the 1st race started it showed nmcp stuck at the starting grid the entire race for me and disconnected me at the end of the race. He couldn't see me after I rejoined so I made the selfless decision to end my nights racing after the first race since we were already running behind.

They kept gt5 servers going for quite a while when 6 came out, so I don't think online gt6 will abruptly end with GTS out. Those not converting right away should still be able to find good online races...
For those that are getting GTS , you can, at this time download the game so it's ready to play midnight tonight EST.( Maybe midnight local, where ever you live.) The countdown has begun
With Japan being 12 hours ahead do they have it already?

Now over to GT Sport!

I find it interesting that usually we get news that a game has "gone gold" before the eventual release of a game but this time around with GT Sport as far as i can tell no news have come out this year that GT Sport "gone gold" yet the game is being released here in the USA tomorrow. Here are my stats for GT6:

Total Distance Driven: 172,202.7 miles.
Total Driving Time: 1,417.0 Hours.
Total Races: 3,632
Number of Wins: 635
Current Credits: 49,484,765
Total Earnings: 474,572,231
Total cost of tuning: 78,350,100
Cars Owned: 509
Paint Colors: 496
Racing Gear: 37
Longest Total Distance: 6,398.2 miles in the Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) '89
Most Wins: 20 in the Tesla Motors Model S Signature Performance 15th Anniversary edition
Top Speed: 434MPH in the SRT Tomahawk X Vision Gran Turismo
Favorite Dealership: Nissan with 45 Cars.
Favorite Course: Silverstone Grand prix circuit with 4,378.8 Miles.

Any gameplay you see know is due to someone getting a leaked copy or a review copy and leaking the footage. Japan's release date isn't even until Thursday. Europe is on Wednesday.

That is a lot of skylines!

I received word that I can pick up my game from Game Stop tonight from 9 pm to 10 pm. Of course I'm going to try to play it as soon as I get home. We'll see if there are safeguards against it :)
I would imagine there will be, at least for online content. But please, do share the experience, inquiring minds and all that.

Does anyone know if it's ok to delete the Beta once the full game has downloaded? Don't want to be the guinea pig... :P
I expect the full game will Add To the files that were downloaded for the Beta. But, I'm a Guesser - not a Know Something guy.

Well, Surprise - Surprise!!!
Am downloading the GT-S Digital Deluxe Edition NOW!!!
Didn't expect that until tomorrow

Reading various GT-S threads, I saw where some folks already have the download completed - and have also received some updates as well.

I deleted mine :nervous::lol:, not really worried either way

..they could block you till the exact time. The game requires internet connection for a lot of this new game. It's required for saves of game play regardless if your actually playing online functions. So they could block up until that time with one of those "server maintenance" errors;),. Only time will tell,. Good luck:tup:

Mind linking me to how you're able to get GTS? Thanks
I just turned on the PS4, went to Library, where it showed the Games I have on the console.
Went over to the GT-S, past the Beta version, and clicked on the GT-S that has the Countdown clock ( currently at 7:48:00).
That started the process of selecting the file(S) to download.

After the Install, I was able to access the Game Manual - and read to my heart's content.
Hope that helps.

Note:
I just found, next to the Manual, a link called GT Sport Information.
Items listed for our info:
Known Issues, and others

One titled "To Everyone who took part in the Open Beta" - it talks about obtaining the Beta Credits we earned.
"....the user will see a data carryover dialog. Please follow the displayed instructions to receive your participation bonus." "There is also a limit to the time period where you can receive the bonus."

This may apply to Private/Club Rooms: (if Clubs & Leagues are considered Communities) IMG_1868.JPG

I have not preordered, but was informed that it will be released this evening as well. The last time I showed up for one of those releases, all the copies they had were 'pre-order' copies so what I bought contained the bonuses. Without having to preorder. Bonus!

I hope the limit isn't too short, I can't play it until next week!
