Hey gents. Working on getting my network to play nice with my PS4. Working through port forwarding now. What where the ports GTS used that was discovered numerous pages back? Was in 1935 and 3478?

It's a combo. I used the Ontario plate that's available and made my own "Major" and "Blixem" I start by putting the licence plate in place and then I add my own decal on top
I can't find just the ontario plate, I have the numbers and letters but I can't find the blank. I will look again. thanks

EDIT: found it thanks

If your Ontario plate is the same size of a standard US plate, the guy that uploaded the one I posted has a template to line up the letters which is really helpful.

My research yielded: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/◆-snail-spec-racing-presented-by-buttkicker-feel-what-youve-been-missing.235094/page-3877#post-12104298

So far it looks like you need:
TCP: 3478, 3479, 3480
UDP: 3478, 3479, 3480
For general PSN connectivity

TCP: 1935, 3074
UDP: 1935, 3074
For Gran Turismo Sport connectivity (so far)

I have those and after adding 1935 last night when Vovik was getting stuck, we didn't have any issues.

Thanks fellas, not sure if this helped yet. I had a weird disconnect in gta, where everyone dropped from the room, but the modem never dropped amd my youtube stream i was watching on my laptop didnt stop. But, about a half hour after putting the ps4 to rest my modem dropped connection.
All my research points to incompatibility between the ps4 and either the router or modem.

You know I’m thinking there should probably be a thread in Snail for everyone to discuss and share livery ideas. Then all you Super livery people can share ideas, tutorials etc in there.

Seems like lately most of the talk in the main Snail thread is about livery stuff.

That's a pretty good idea. I nominate @Wolfsatz to start a thread and maintain it.

I sent a request earlier for access to the current score sheet, not sure if I am supposed to also ask here, so I am asking. Can an admin give me access to the score sheet to enter data for D4 please?

So I was able to do some daily races today and all I can say I got a reminder of why I stopped doing them. Nothing but I’d divebombing, bumping and just overall poor driving and racecraft. I’m not innocent of these things at all, I don’t think anyone is really. But I don’t just ram my way to the front without caring about whether or not I’m ruining anyone else’s race like a lot of people seemingly do. It happens in every single daily race and ruins the entire experience.

I’m so happy to be a part of this league where these things don’t occur. Even if mistakes are made, people have the decency to admit them and concede positions and even if they don’t, I have faith that it was truly a mistake and it won’t happen too often. Racing here on Sunday night is truly a breath of fresh air.

not racing with the S level at all.. once in a while maybe yes.... I see a lot of fast clean racing when the whole room is B S / A S / S S

Tip: if you are dealing with anytihng but A and S... it is better to lose 1 or 2 positions and increase your rating.. than fight it off... decrease your rating and perhaps even more than 2 positions.

In addition to what @Wolfsatz said above, running the longer races will help raise your SR as well. You can get to a spot in the field and run clean laps easier when it's not first lap - one lap - last lap with everybody trying to get as much as they can.

That statement comes from theory and what I've read. I've only done 7 races (4 wins and 7 fastest laps) and am still at SR B and DR C.

Totally true. I am having the most fun and 'snail' like experience running 'Race C' which is usually a 10 lapper with fuel and tire multiplier. Usually the first 2 laps is when most contact occurs, but just being patient and not fighting off for every corner pays its dividends.

I was able to raise my rating by running some races without qualifying at all. Just starting from the back and making up to 10+ positions; just capitalizing on other's mistakes. Many races are able to run without pit stop, so there is also opportunity to make up a lot of spots just by being patient.

To add, keep things in perspective by cleanly obtaining and treating every position gained as a small win to your rating. Also, try to qualify as high as possible on the grid. The upper half always seems to be more clean until you level up. You will see, once that S sr rating is achieved, with at least a C dr, the racing becomes consistently more clean and competitive anywhere in the field.

I know you guys have gone over this already, but I can't find it in the previous posts. How does one turn off the auto messaging in the GTSport races. Frankly, I find it insulting that GTSport speaks for me. While I appreciate the intent - to keep the atmosphere friendly - I don't need anyone speaking for me. I pisses me off to be honest. If somebody could please repost the procedure, or just give me a link to the prior post, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Hmm... I don't run many GTSport races, but I just now looked at my rating. Seems GT thinks I'm a D.B. I never thought of myself as a D.B. Guess I have some self evaluating to do.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I’m actually at a B rating with an SR rating of S right now and am racing against mainly S and A SR rated drivers which makes this even weirder to me. I do tend to qualify middle/toward the front of the pack most races so maybe that’s the issue. I rarely qualify top three and there’s lots of people who come up from behind with seemingly no knowledge of what a brake pedal is and even if I do pay attention to who’s around me (which I do. I keep a mental note of who to watch out for in longer races), it’s not exactly easy to get out of the way of someone who pushes their way underneath you. I do have decent finishing positions for the most part so maybe I shouldn’t be complaining. It’s just frustrating when you’re running a good race only for someone who obviously doesn’t have a care in the world knocks you back three spots because they were in a rush.

I’ll try to do some more of the races again to get a larger sample. It’s just that any time I get in the mood to do them, I run into a couple of people who ruin the fun. I’ll just have to suck it up and go at it again though.

The more races you run, you' also be able to quickly identify those very aggressive drivers. One of the things I do differently than Sunday Snail races; always protect the inside; some of those aggressive drivers will push the inside but never to go the outside.. and start breaking early; something new that I've seen a couple of times, if they are way above speed, they will ghost through; and breaking early will allow you to recover /compensate if they draw contact. Most times, these drivers end up crashing somewhere later.... so sometimes I just let them through; just to pass them again a few laps into the race.

I thought this was taken care of already, but obviously not. I'll get you added tonight.

@soundtiger95

This is why snail stays relevant even with sport mode now. There is little accountability in sport mode and there are always ways to game the system whatever it may be unless someone is physically reviewing the replays to analyze the race. I dont think anyone can have the expectation of good sportsmanship outside of a well built system like snail which also has the advantage of racing the same people week to week developing relationships and respect among racers. Sport mode is interesting and a step toward automating a league system but its going to be a long time before that concept is functional from my point if view.

Honestly though, i cant think of a real life motorsports organization that runs conflict free either though. Racing involves heated tempers, egos, cheaters, jealousy and all kinds of conflict. Even at the local tracks i am involved in there is constant drama and bs even among racers who have been competing against each other for decades. The track staff are barraged with complaints and accusations nightly and everyone is suspicious and paranoid of everyone else, even when everything goes smoothly.

Racing and Drama go together!!

I have recently been trying to get my SR higher, because I like everyone else wants clean races. Strangely I have noticed that the higher my SR is the lower DR goes. I was looking at this http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?profile=2203147 and as my SR has recently climbed my DR has tanked, in most cases for these races I have qualified in the back half and made 3-5 positions per race. I had a nice sport race yesterday which significantly increased my DR but slightly lowered my SR. Looking at chart on the bottom, when my DR was at its highest my SR was at its lowest. If this is similar data others are getting, where is the incentive to be clean for people who only want to win?

I actually felt this was happening to me as well, and as a result of that and the result of always being unlucky enough to be in a race full Ricky Bobbys, I haven't done any of the sport races for quite some time, but today I'm going to try to get some in before Snail practice and see if I find the experience any different...........
On a side note, I was lucky enough to find a couple fellow snail racers in a couple of the Sport races, when I was doing them.
