I've loved cars since before I was 10. I'm a fan of auto sports, and racing games. But this combo just reminds me of how little natural talent I have and how poor my track knowledge is, in general. I've tried to work at it mind you. Read books and watch videos for years. But damn, to still be 5 seconds a lap off on some combos really frustrates me.

I'm there with ya, I love it but sometimes it sure doesn't love me back. The good news for me is the folks around here are great, they help if you ask but don't ever force anything on you. So I drive around pretending I'm moving at a good pace until I notice @SAMHAIN85 in my mirror patiently waiting for me to make the donuts.

Theres always someone faster then you. Harsh fact of life. Dont let it get you down though.

I usually am off pace a few seconds each week as well. I have trouble "feeling" the limits of the cars and tend not to push them beyond my own comfort. Only with faster drivers am i able to almost mimic their driving and lower these times.

Very first GT League I joined years ago was immortalpilot's F1 season 1. Getting lapped 3 or 4 times every race is...interesting. Learned a lot over the years, and do ok in some combos, but no reason to be 5 seconds off.

Mike was running 20's and a few 19's when we raced yesterday in practice.
:bowdown:No sympathy for you here. I ran 5-10 laps and mustered 2:27. :banghead: I must have dropped a cylinder. I drove the Mach 40 and mustered 57.64 lap at Scooby. Now you can humiliate me beyond despair and tell me your lap time there. :scared:

You still enjoy racing right? Whether your 5 or 10 seconds off its always a learning experience. Yea there are some people that will humble you. Snail is full of them. But its fun. Nobody's a dick about it. If your slow folks will help you to the best of there ability. You got a good crowd here and take advantage. My buddy used to save our replays racing each other and just copied my line until he got comfortable.

I always have fun and don't give up. Well today I did. Was hoping to run more laps before work tonight but after practicing with the cones, running laps on sports hard blah blah, can't get below mid 24s with a best of 23.9.
Running low 57 in combo 3 , so I don't know what's up.
Going to play my guitar instead.
Gonna play really LOUD.

Looking forward to watching a replay of @SAMHAIN85 stream tonight.

That mustang is a bit tricky though.

Ok, went back. After what felt like a great lap, very under control, hit most of my marks etc. 2:23.232
That's all I can get.

May be early in the week to judge, but I estimate you’d win D2 by some margin with those lap times with any consistency. Of course, tonight times will tell you a bit more.

I work all weekend, every weekend, and it's exhausting. Don't usually have much energy to practice after Fridays.

I wanted to interject something that may help lost time. With the N cars i noticed while shifting lift off throttle and back on. Seems to help quicken shift and eliminate that throttle spike mid shift. Idk if this will help anyone.
Is that a logitech issue or game issue. I cant speed shift with the stock trans without missing a shift.

I believe that is game issue? I have a g29 that likes to leave me in neutral sometimes but thats the only issue i have had with it(does not do this on pcars2). I think this works for cars that use a clutch IRL.

Yea when i had pcars 2 i could speed shift all day.

Late to the party but I'll brag a little. Don't take her out much as she only has 30k miles. Bigger turbo and some other goodies. Runs a low 12.

My dad picked me up from the mall when I was 13 in a brand new one in 1987. Said "hey there's one of those cars you and your brother keep talking about". Next thing he says is "hey come take a look at these paper plates". It has his freaking name signed on it. He let me drive it home...yes @ 13 years old. By the time he sold it, late 90s I ran the fastest time of 10.42. still remember like it was yesterday.
