Alright so i’l find out what time i’l need to be available Thursday (probably Friday my time) for practice.

I’l do the practice on Thursday first and if that goes well i’l come back on here to confirm everything is ok. :)

That sounds like a plan. Practice should be Friday morning for you. Room numbers will be posted in this thread once they are opened. Good luck and hopefully everything goes well in practice.

@racingchamp30 @SAMHAIN85 please be looking for this driver on Thursday night.

Check this thread throughout the week since we're in the process of picking the combos we'll be racing. That way you know what we'll be practicing. Once Friday morning at 11am rolls around for you there will be 1 or 2 practice lobbies up for you to join us. Lobby #'s will be posted here.

I have to quote my own message here because I didn’t get any responses after the third week season in May when I first asked. Maybe some hypothesis to kick around is that you guys just don’t like Interlagos?
And then there’s Monza. Why does Monza stick around? Let’s run quarter-mile drag races, it’s about the same.

Interlagos is typically not one of my strongest tracks, but I still like it. And I don’t understand the hate against Monza. You might as well not use it or even Circuit de la Sarthe because of the long straights. Let’s all use small technical tracks and not the long fast ones. Let’s not try to get a better run out of a turn over our opponent and slipstream past him because it’s not racing.

I say shut up about the track and race the best way we can around ANY track.

I really like Interlagos and even though I voted that combo, I was simply voting to get rid of that Lexus. I hate that car, and the way you need to drive it to be effective.
I would disagree about no side by side racing though.....you should watch a few D2 replays from all car views and I think you’ll change your opinion on that.

Whew. I’m glad you motioned it. Good call. All opposed? Passed!

Finally! Somebody with a similar mindset! Thank you.

I don’t agree with your slipstream outlook. Slipstream is a lot of fun and full of strategic opportunities.
You say shut up? Ouch, this is a friendly forum. My sensibilities are damaged now.
(I understood your sarcasm but I had to respond as though I didn’t.)

Maybe it's just because the last cars we've raced there are a bit squirrelly so it was hard to have confidence to race multiple lines AND keep the car in control. At least for me and maybe some others.

I have read the first post and would like to join.

I'd like return to SNAILs for some clean racing. Givem the setup, I'll only be available to practice on Thursdays.

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1,@zer05ive ,@Rednose58 &, @MajorBlixem as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

I have a quick question.

In the OP, there mention of the rules and guidelines for GT6, but no soild confirmation of the game itself. I'm assuming racing is taking place in GTS (given the forum here on GTP) but in the OP it has specs for GT6.

Which game are we racing in, GT6 or GTS?

I'll take care of the 'steps' when I get home tonight.

If you have no intentions of racing on Sunday's, you don't need to go through all the steps. You can just show up for Thursday night practice, it's held in an open lobby and the lobby numbers are posted in this thread.

Oh yeah, welcome back.

For prize A I choose:

Track: Alsace Village II @ 17:15 Fine Weather

Car: Ford Mustang Gr.B Rally Car 549 HP and 3042lbs
Love the pick. And it’s the first track pick since RacingOtaku’s motion and my second to eliminate Monza and Sarthe from eligibility. Thank you. Beautiful.
