PSA for Today

It isn't exactly free money, but a refund that you weren't expecting.

If you have bought a new car or certain parts since 1995, and have proof of purchase, check out this link (Car & Driver) to see the article and then the link to the class action lawsuit (participation varies by state, etc.).

I filed my claim for the 2 cars I still had purchase agreements for during that time. I figure if I can get a tank of gas out of it, I'll be happy.

Interesting, I don’t see Ohio as one of the states

For those who haven't seen this yet about the overnight server maintenance:

The notice includes three major changes. The first, affecting all players, is that light contacts between cars will no longer result in a penalty. This rather leaves what forms “light” to the imagination, but for those who believe rubbing is racing this will be good news.

More important for serious GT Sport players is the change to the imbalance of the penalty system. The new rules will no longer penalize players with high Driver Ratings more harshly, with A and A+ drivers reverting to the same criteria as drivers with lower DR. That will resolve an issue where lower-ranked drivers could make deliberate contact and receive a lesser (or no) penalty.

Third on the list is a global reduction in the size of time penalties. It’s not clear if this applies to all offenses, including track limits, or whether it’s specific to collisions, though the latter seems more likely.

Hope this helps a little bit with the FIA racing, for those who participate.

Thank you...5+ days of practice time!

Quick question: how do you guys practice is it time attack or lobby

Only reason I ask is it seems time attack iv been running cleaner, smoother, and a little faster than race night

I practice in lobbies with other SNAILs when possible. If there aren't any rooms open, I run a Custom Race with all the snail settings from the Arcade menu.

The way I understand it, arcade/time trial mode doesn't have the same physics as a multiplayer lobby. I always practice the combos the same way we race them on Sundays.
Cool thanks guys that answered my question I'm gonna go home tonight and try it out

Back when I used to race on Sundays, I'd occasionally practice in solo lobbies with tires that were one grade of lower traction than we'd actually race with on Sunday. While this was very controversial as to it's effectiveness, for me and my limited amount of practice time throughout the week, it would always prove beneficial. It just seemed that when it came to Sundays, and pushing hard with closely matched division mates, I had a better sense of where traction was vulnerable. That led to fewer mistakes and increased consistency. Definitely not for everyone, especially those that like to account for every potential fraction of a second. But for me and my limited skill set, it was helpful.

That's a good idea I'll try that thanks man!
