I’m not worried about entering and exiting the corner correctly. Raced karts for years. What I am talking about is how little you need to run the wheel to turn. I ran the kart about a month ago for about an hour, then went back to practicing for Sunday night and it took me about 20 minutes to run a combo (that I was fully prepared for) without wrecking. I felt like I was completely unprepared again.

Sounds like we definitely should NOT run the kart last :D

New combo for October 21st.
TSUKUBA CIRCUIT
RACING KART 125 SHIFTER

Mid division times 60 secs
12:00 Noon
It’s okay, you can blame the British guy? I’ve got big shoulders and a happy smile!
I believe there’s a reason the shifter kart hasn’t come up already. It’s really skittish and nothing like it was in GT6. I really hope PD fixed it in some recent updates (not holding my breath). I wish it worked like it did in GT6 because it is super humbling and makes you return to basic skills. If you resist utilizing the fundamental smooth and silky finesse (cornering 101) then you get punished over and over until frustration sets in and you go back to your last hobby (Needlepoint; where you suddenly remember you were happiest in life).

I thought the reason it hasn't been used before was because it wasn't available for purchase. That changed recently.

Got some quick practice in this morning with the Kart. Ditched the wheel and used the DS4 and posted a 1:01:349. This from a slow D4 guy. I’m going to try again tonight with the wheel and see what kind of results I get.

Haven't tried the kart race yet, kind've dreading it tbh.

The Bathurst combo is decent, car seems to like that circuit.
2:03's are definitely possible on Bathurst, but it's all about running that uphill perfectly, and I think you can do it almost entirely flatout.

I tried the kart combo yesterday, and I’m not going to say what my fastest time was. @src_ej6 isn’t allowed to say either.

I did a 58.7 last night and there were lots of room for improvement. I can only imagine that you guys are prolly going to be in the 56's or even better

At Bathurst I was on the way to a solid 2:05 when I got a little over-eager exiting the mountain. And yes, that uphill section still had some time to gain as well as through the cork screw. This is however one of the best cars I have driven through the cork screw - she's definitely not tail happy going through there.

I would be surprised if we don't see 2:03's

Vehicles eligible for selection for Sunday night racing are as follows:

Any vehicle that is available in Brand Central and costs 1,000,000 Cr. or less.

Kart isn’t allowed based on this from the OLR

The kart was made available for purchase in Brand Central a couple of updates ago. You need to go to the Gran Turismo dealer. I think I have the correct dealer. Could someone correct me if I'm wrong. They won't let me bring my PS4 to work so I can check these things.

Cool. I can maybe get back the other cars that I couldn’t buy before when the game erased my garage after maintenance one night. (GTR pace car, etc)

I did a 2:04.9 in one of the practice races last night, and my optimal was 2:04.3, So there is definitely 2:03.xx pace, maybe even a 2:02.xx if somebody is really nutty.

I never cease to be amazed at the Lap Times you folks are capable of attaining. I'll be lucky to break 2:08 ......... not complaining, just voicing a level of amazement. In the downhill esses, and Forest Elbow (?) the rear end seems very loose and wants to instantly slide out.
But then, I'm used to a Horse n Buggy .......... that might have something to do with it.

Dont worry. You'll probably be faster than me.

Yeah, on my T300 the kart only has 90° of lock and it's extremely twitchy. Sunday will be crazy.

Bathurst was a track I was always enamored with. I spent a lot of time watching replays and practicing on it, and while I haven't driven it much recently - it was like riding a bike, all that time I spent on it came flooding back.

The uphill section and the first initial downhill braking chicane is where 95% of time is lost/gained, I'll run some laps with you if you want tonight - I was coaching @MikeGrove through some laps last night over voice and he gained a decent amount of time.

You really just have to commit yourself to those corners, you can take them so very quickly if you hit your turning points and attack the corners.

Also, Bathurst is a track where there is a TON of time, I tend to be 1.5~ seconds behind the #1 time for daily C, and even though I'm pretty good at Bathurst, I'll probably be 2.5~ seconds behind #1 because the circuit is so unforgiving, and there is so much time on the track to be gained if you nail it just perfectly.

It is in the Gran Turismo dealership as a Gr X vehicle costing 10,000 credits.
49HP/231lbs.
Would the Tsukuba combo be set for Karts only or just set it as normal since it is a Gr. X?

Somebody else is going to have to get that answer as I have not bothered with karts. I may be able to look into it tonight but I make no guarantees.
