What a finish in that Manufacturer Final. 5 cars were side by side coming down the last straightaway at Nurburgring and the FAVORITE Team Nissan with all 3 Regional Finals winners ran out of gas right before the last turns. Went from 2nd to 10th.

U just drastically slowed down lap times and increased irs lol

I’ve said it before. I would like to go through the Seaside bus with only 2 wheels allowed on the rumble strips (with other 2 on smooth asphalt). That would be realistic (and save many lives :)). It would avoid pile ups on the occasion that someone hits/clips the wall.

From the above remarks it appears some folks do not fully understand the track boundary rules. Unless it's been changed, and I don't think it has, the overall rule is keep at least 2 wheels on the white line, or trackside of the white line. Where there are rumble strips the white line is moved to the non trackside edge of the strip and only for the length of the strip. Where it becomes risky using the rumble strips as the white line is at the start and end points of the rumble strip. At Spa Francorchamps a good example of the risk is at the left hand turn after Raidillon, at the beginning of the Kemmel straight.

For instance, you could try getting just 2 on the rumble strip at Eau Rouge at the bottom.

Chances are, if you manage without bouncing off the barrier, you'll be late into Raidillon. So nobody ever goes OOB here. It's just not the fast line.

Where most people got into penalties however is at the top.

If you're holding just 2 on the rumble strip and do it long enough, which is unusual for just one car going through, there's a good chance you could pass the end of the rumble strip and be back at the white line boundary with more than 2 off the track. The abrupt transition is the risk here. As you can see in the pic this car has hit the SNAIL boundary rule. :sly::D

What a race! Unfortunate to see BMW get knocked off the track Lap 1. And if Lightning didnt go off during his stint I think Nissan wouldve pulled it off, that guy IOF Racing is a real speed demon

I Love SNAIL.
I'm 60 years old and have raced Class 5 (DIRT) for real, 35 years ago!
All I want is to race with you all, online where it doesn't hurt.

I find myself in rooms with you D1 and D2 guys and I know your faster, There is no reason to tap me, on entry to a corner, make the corner then pass, if I know you're there, I'll give it but I don't always know.

Just Give me a Chance Guys and Gals!
I think that really comes down to when people expect to brake. When racing with everyone from D1 to D4 there's going to be some drastically different braking points. It truly is hard to anticipate when someone is going to brake if you don't race with them but once a week, let alone the difference in corner entry, race line and general pace on track.

I had this issue just last night myself coming into T3 at RBR. I was closing towards the end of the straight and found myself seeing brake lights before I was ready, luckily was able to avoid contact and @Jw_wk1010 left me room. But that can't always be done when there's more traffic.
Brake at 110M turn 3 at RBR

I can guarantee you no D1/D2 driver goes into practice with intent of taking out D3/D4 guys along the way. On the rare Thursday I'm able to participate in multi divisional practice I usually try to hang back and let the T1(and up to T3) carnage work itself out then attack the pack.

Then I will no longer participate in practice rooms when you’re in the room.
How will that help? I highly doubt you were the sole perpetrator of every single instance of contact he experienced. There's no reason to rob yourself of good practice time because of a misinterpretation.

Well stated @src_ej6.

@GTPvw_slc

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1,@zer05ive ,@Rednose58,@MajorBlixem & @SAMHAIN85 as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Patience is key lol I watched src come from the back two races in a row because he would just cruise through t1 watch everyone wreck then go right on by
And the one time I didn't I took someone out :banghead:

The worst part was it wasn't even a braking zone, just trying to shoot for a gap before the 1st bend at Dragon trail:guilty:

Sorry again Tom, Mike and Ferrari let me know what happened after the race.
