Triple post...I am such a loser.
Short story...
I see that the 911 GT1 Street car is in the game. When I worked at a local Porsche dealer as a service writer years ago, we had a customer (obviously filthy rich) who had recently purchased one from an auction in Monaco I believe. He had paid reportedly over 2mil for it, only 17 made in the world. Well he had it brought to our shop because he wanted the OEM anti-theft system disabled because he was old (like 70's) and didn't want to fiddle with it. Porsche sent the head honcho North American service guy down to oversee the situation. I actually got to drive it (pulling it around the parking lot...whoohoo)! While it was in the shop I took some pics. Secret info...shhh don't tell anyone...when it was in the shop, you know the lifts with the 4 pull away supports with pads? You swing them under the car, then raise and lower the car, then swing the arms away so you can drive it out? Well, while the car was on the ground the technician stepped on one of the arms and lost his balance and the arm swung into the car and hit the painted part of the car below the driver door entry step. Took out a chip of paint about the size of a shelled sunflower seed. Jeezus the entire place about had a **** fit. They had to call in a paint expert to fix it.
Coolest damn car I've ever seen.
