Good turnout last week. I'm still browsing cars from the lower menu books and license tests.

Daytona Road Course, dynamic weather, no rain. Dawn will be dark-ish but Daytona is ridiculously well lit.

I really appreciate your work on this Bologna. I tried a couple FR cars here and came up with the following suggestions: Nissan Silvia Q's '88: no TCS needed. Toyota GR Supra RZ 20. No TCS required. And we all have the Toyota Supra GT500 '97.

I drive cockpit view almost exclusively and the wipers don’t automatically come on for me, perhaps because I have the circle button mapped for windshield wipers. The wipers are a bit annoying anyway and the windshield clears itself like it has rain-X treatment. One probably has to be in cockpit view to see light rain.

Can any geek make sense of this farming credit business?

Lobby will be open for racing this evening at 9pET for all divisions.

1. i will start in GT7. First race at 7:15 sharp. ~8min races.
2. if lobby fails I will move to GT sport at 7:45

Did this combo with another snail on track. No visible lag of the other car for me. No issues during race.

Focus is on some fun racing so no snap oversteer cars. IF GT7 lobby survives I’d be happy to open another if someone wants to suggest a suitable FF, MR, 4WD combo.

If I end up back in GT sport I will resurrect some recent combos. D2 on snail official tires, D1 one step harder.

Based on feedback I’ll try something again on Thursday practice slot.

I think I'm gonna give the farming a go since I can just have it running while I work.
Edit: Should add I have less than zero technical skills so if I can get it to run anyone can.
Edit2: Nevermind. The credit farming is Windows only so I doubt I can't run it during the workday. I'll look into the GPU requirements but I doubt my old MacBook would be able to handle it.

I switched from cockpit to hood cam last night and it felt a lot smoother. I usually run cockpit across games but the GT cockpit just feels off compared to RF2 or iracing.

It works for me, on a 7+ year old cheap windows laptop. Very easy to do. I’m as far from a geek as you can be and made it work in 15 minutes.

Follow these simple steps and you are set. Just know that You cannot move the Remote Play window because it stops the script. Once you start it, dont touch your computer. I watch it from time to time while working just to be sure that everything runs fine.

A big middle finger to Sony and PD, I love it. I’d rather have a great in game economy, a full single player career and online races that pays well but its a nice workaround for the time being. I have a feeling they will patch it up by changing the order of the races rendering the script useless. So do it while you can.

Cockpit view takes up more resources, so another cam like hood cam will have fewer frame drops and feel smoother.

Also in cockpit view, reflections only update at 30fps, while the rest of the game is at 60fps. This can kind of lead to a stuttery effect. This applies to the PS5, not sure how true this is for PS4.

More importantly, another letter from Kaz recognizing the issues with in-game economy and overall lack of content.

All around sounds great to me, however there’s no mention of fixing the issues we face as a league with online lobbies.

New cars and tracks next month, 8 endurance races being added, 1mil credit pack given to everyone. But the biggest news of all, we will be able to sell cars again!!

I did achieve gold finally with the Gr4 Mustang! Now I need your help with the Viper at Daytona. 7500 drift points for gold. Highest is 7250 after at least 100 attempts. Send help!

I don’t imagine they would take away collector level like that, and once you acquire a vehicle it gets added to the book, I don’t think they’d remove that either.

On subject of wet weather in Snail racing, the physics in wet weather in gt7 is like driving on ice where puddles formed as track dries in mission races if wrong tires are still on. Grip is non existent so I think all dry conditions in Snail racing is preferred so none are just skidding around.

The AFK grinding trick makes the game much more enjoyable. I just buy any car I’m interested in. I even buy two of the same car, one stays stock and the other one gets modded to the moon and back.

I’m having fun in arcade mode doing a race with each one playing at 10x time progression seeing that sweet sweet dynamic time and weather (yeah I really love that new feature)

Still cannot wait for the lobbies to be fixed so we can race again. The dailies this week were not so good and due to being an adult, the two tournaments require too much of a presence to really score points on every event.
