That's not saying anything...

But I know how you meant it...which sounds very pompous.

D1 is not the breeding ground for racecraft. All divisions have different kinds of drivers. Some will do whatever it takes to avoid contact with others...to the point of running off track before hitting someone. Some will do anything to win.

One group gains respect and the other gains a reputation.

Which type do you feel you are?

Check with the overall SNAIL community.

I have avoided all kinds of contact, including you when I go to pass and you squeeze me to the passing side. Either to a wall or off track. You know in your heart you do it to me. Check Fuji, SS5, and GP/D replays. Every one will show the "one change of direction" AFTER I have pulled around you to pass with small amount of overlap. That is truth. Very subtle, but still illegal. Nice ther tcrash.

It's not my judgement that you need to trust because when it comes to Luv2Coach, my judgement has proven to be wrong. I took a lot of heat behind the scenes for allowing Luv2Coach to stick around as long as he has. Myself and others have also spent a lot of time trying to help him make it through his "last chance" probation so that he could rejoin the league without any black marks.

This is true and more than enough energy was spent.

Basically, the stewards felt that he was neither driving or acting like someone on their "last chance". A vote was called for and the vote was unanimous to ban him. At that point, it was a done deal because the parameters for him to stay in the league or get kicked out had already been set and the power to control either scenario was in the hands of the stewards. They've made their decision and I fully support it.

As do I.

It is a simple issue between drivers, he just happens to be in the "administration office".

This is insulting and another irrelevant statement.

For ANY potential conflict of interest, eg. a steward is involved in an incident, the guidelines demand they make no comment on the discussion thread, at risk of having the incident closed not in their favour. The only communication about the incident they can have is between the other driver and their Division Steward.

From experience, the steward group is very unbiased when it comes to who did what on track.

Hey guys am after abit of info from the guys in d1 iv been told by a mate of mine that I keep having random lag every now & then Im just wondering if anyone has noticed this. Also would like to ask anyone in practice tonight to keep an eye out please and inform me of any lag even the slightest thing so I can try and rectify the problem..... If I am lagging and cannot rectify the problem soon I wont be racing until its sorted so I dont ruin anyone/everyones night!

I've seen it but never bad enough to effect racing. It's not an all the time thing at all.

I never saw you lagging abnormally. Everything is fine with me. 👍

I try not to get my hopes up about may 15th...but I can't help it I wanna see a GT6 teaser PD.:sly:

They will probably reveal another GT Academy...yay:indiff:

Coach, you've always been one of the drivers that i most admired on S.N.A.I.L. due to your tremendous speed, race skills and consistency, but i never raced in your division but only on wednesday's practices so i never had a taste of what people are complaining. As far as i remember, you knocked me off track once at High Speed Ring in the oval series and that was it.
Zero's decision... well... you have to see it this way, you're not worst than anybody here... just different and maybe your profile just doesn't cope with the SNAIL profile. I really wish you find an amazing group to race and to fully expose your unlimited talent.
Cheers.

Thanks owen I know its not all the time but even so it may ruin someones race night for example I have race complaints from this sunday but I never hit the guy once buton replays it shows I did :-/..... On the luv2coach subject I think he fitted in better it d1 because as has been stated on here before d1 is of a more aggressive nature because everyone is so.close in speed its difficult to make a pass! However he needs to learn to addapt to different divisions/racing styles iv had a few good battles with the guy in the past :-)...

I know im not on here alot but would just like to say what a great league this is an what a wonderfull job everyone does for S.N.A.I.L you guys are legends for creating the cleanest league on gt5!! Hope you guys carry this on to gt6 :-)

Refresh my memory. My horn is disabled, and I only made passes with sufficient overlap.

Re-enable your horn mate I use it when needed... Pity your banned now as I had a few good battles with you.... Am not passing judgement or anything but you need to lean/nedd help to adapt your driving style I used to be more aggressive than obama taking out bin laden but learnt to addapt for this league! Hope I get to race with you in the future!....

I do not see how you can reconcile the "blame the other guy, it is never my fault..." with your promises after things went south previously.

Fair winds and following seas, Coach.

Schmiggz
maybe your profile just doesn't cope with the SNAIL profile.

This is why I'm so befuddled by this. Coach and I used to race as if our cars were tethered together, because we have the EXACT same driving style. When all this first started to unfold I was siding with coach a little, because the complaints he got I should have gotten as well. We were running the Daytona road course (can't remember which car), coach and I got through the pack on the first lap, and we took off. After I spun out he passed the line miles ahead of everyone, but was railed with complaints of his first lap. I was right next to him and nearly mirrored every action he made; braking extremely late, nosing our way past a car, ect. Yet I never got a single complaint. It's intriguing to me that as similarly as we race that he's ended up being banned and I've only ever had one complaint filed against me, and it didn't even stick. Maybe a lot changed while I was out sick, but it appeared to me that the only thing that had was coach being way faster.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I've always trusted the judgment of the higher ups, but I've also always been willing to vouch for coach.

All in all I'm just like.... Crap man.

I HAVE BEEN INCIDENT FREE FOR 4 WEEKS AMD NONE THIS WEEK. IN OTHER WORDS NO COMPLAINTS AGAINST ME.

I am mot blaming, I am telling a truth about an illegal maneuver.

MR.OWENSRACING.... YOU'RE OFFICIALLY INVITED TO START THE DATE NEGOTIATIONS TO THE NEXT RUFTAR SESSION.
As you all noticed, everybody missed the old 70's muscles in the competition so i think is important to clarify the 525 class that, i think, should be replaced for timeline class, meaning, whatever pp suits better for american and imports between 1969 and 1975. The 585 class and the whole format doesn't seem to need a touch but i'm widely open for suggestions regarding anything you guys feel should be improved.
Now i'll explain my problem with tuesdays... I'm attending a blue print reading course that takes place mondays and tuesdays from 7.00pm to 9.30pm and takes place about 30kms (18 miles) from my house where i arrive very around 10 so, besides racing on sunday, on monday i have to drive like a maniac to be home on time to grab a quick bite and participate on Joby's pp cap races, which i love, and i really don't feel like doing it again on tuesday plus my wife gets mad cuz when i get home she's comfortably laying on the couch watching tv and i have to literally kick her off and... doing it twice in a row??? And then wednesday is practicing!! I really don't want to drive her nutts :) Friday would be soooo much better. But, like i said, everything is negotiable.

As I said before, one division is no more aggressive than another. Each individual driver determines his own fate.

I would put Owens at the extreme end of good racecraft and low aggression. Fast but not willing to win at the expense of others.

Then there are others in D1 who drive somewhat...differently.

It's the same with each division. Good eggs and bad eggs all in one basket.

Also Coach, just because there were no complaints filed against you doesn't mean you were the model racer. It just means no one wanted to waste the time or effort to file. This happens more often thsn not.

For the record, the incident from 4 weeks ago occurred while you were on already on "last chance" probation. Instead of banning you then like we were supposed to do, you were contacted via PM with a warning.

As for this week, you seem to know a lot considering you have absolutely no idea of what has been discussed the stewards forum. Here's a hint: the stewards found you guilty of aggressive driving incident, which is why the vote was suggested in the first place. After all, that violated rule #1 an #2 of the conditions we put you on in the first place:
  1. Acknowledge that this is your last chance - any penalty, large or small, related to aggressive driving will be the end or your time in S.N.A.I.L.
  2. Acknowledge that this you'll need to race six complete Sunday nights without collecting a penalty related to aggressive driving in order to clear yourself from "last chance" status
  3. And finally, send a PM to Apmaddock and Oshawa-Joe and acknowledge to them that you realize that it was your aggressive driving that they were picking on, and not you.

You obviously didn't meet these conditions, but you go ahead and keep telling yourself that were targeted because you won D2 on Sunday.. All of the stewards must simply fear your mad skills and breathtaking speed..

Just a little advice for all... Don't be a numbnutz like me!! Make sure you procure the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 TC and not the R33 like I did!!:dunce:

To be fair, they're both awesome. I say, get both, but do make sure you prepare the R32 for Sunday :dopey:

Coach, I would let go of snail if I were you. I can honestly say they probably would have been alot more lenient had you not joined back in without permission under a different name instead of just asking for forgiveness. And I would say I don't understand how this could happen, but one time you joined into a lobby with me and a friend and you guys ended up enemies within about a 20 minute time span. That being said i will still drive with you outside of snail

In other news, I was thinking about not driving this weekend since I still don't have motegi and thusly pretty much won't be able to win, but I will drive this weekend because of the combo selections :)
And mostly to just ruin one of you guys' night by keeping you from winning :boom:
