@bublyman @Longball @Oshawa-Joe Good practice! This was three laps in.

If you ever find yourself driving from Denver to Aspen, take the slightly longer route through Independence Pass. Well worth the detour. Be sure to obey the posted speed limits though, and don't block both lanes of traffic for a photo shoot like this one.

I agree, I took that route this fall on my way to Colorado Springs during my american roadtrip. I highly recommend it !

On another note, I’ll open a practice lobby around 7PM. The usual half distance race format until 9PM. See you there !

EDIT: Practice lobby open.

I feel compelled to say, after a 1 hour or so practice session, these combos are bloody well matched, car to track.

The Fiat is actually quite fun to drive at Eiger, the Volvo VW slightly less so at Lago. The absolute crown of this week's batch is that Audi at Deep Forest. Trueforce is utterly amazing as you bottom out in that downhill/uphill transition to the front straight. The steering feedback gets much heavier as you turn in for that last kink to the left and, as you crest the hill, goes all light and feathery and feels like your about to drift into the wall. Amazing experience. A well behaved hooligan car, if ever those two things could be said in the same sentence.

Will check some things on my router and see if they are correct. I've recently had a change in equipment and the port forwarding is probably still set to the old PS. If that doesn't fix it then I'll try your suggestions @radliffracing.

@Worst_Driver - Don't wait for me. Go ahead and start. I'll try to make it in if I can get my connection squared away.

Noted, hopefully it will fix your problem because prior to that seems like you were able to join in without any hiccups.

I did test in both light and dark mode on my PC and tablet.

If you know how to code that outline or shadow, I'd be happy to roll it in there and test that out. I saw a post, and response, while I was fiddling with those colors a few weeks ago when I was hunting BBCode to get a background fill thing working. While there is BBCode that will do that, it has to be enabled in the forum software that @Jordan stated isn't, much to my disappointment.

On a side note, you can run GTPlanet in Dark Mode, independently of your device setting, which I'm sure you Jamcar, already know but, others may not. If you'd like to suggest some colors to use you're certainly welcome to.

On another side note. I run GTPlanet in dark mode because it's easier on the eyes. Since my battle with shingles in the summer of 2016, which did this

my right eye is still sensitive to light. Yeah, almost 10 years. That right eye used to be my best eye. The doctor never did tell me if I came close to getting a glass replacement for it and I was never brave enough to ask.
WOW! (not the eye, but that is amazing too. That's why got the vaccination).

However my post is about the level of voodoo magic that computers are to me, and how a few(many?) members understand it. No offence, but I've never read so much English prose, and understood so little. I'm in awe. I figure I got about 10% of dragonwhisky's, and those were prepositions: of, to, as, with. I think this is what make's Snail run; people who can relate at this level and produce the complex system that is Snail it's extrodinary.

In no special order, here's to the people who make Snail great: And I sincerely apologize to those of you I have omitted, no offence meant.

nmcp1, dragonwhisky, Akzl298, oshowajoe, jamcarone, jlbowler, worst_ driver (yeah right), zerO5ive, and Marcusgarvey who speaks car tuning like the master he is.

Some of these are BODs and some, maybe, are just longtime members. Whatever, it's fun, and thank you so much!

PS, I'm still in Manitoba, and I'm going out for a smoke at -32C (-26F). Windchill:-41C (-42F). There is no bad weather, there's only bad clothing.

The final combo of the night, and the final night featuring Sardegna - Road Track - C, as it would turn out. It's been a fun circuit, well suited for both the Radical and the Porsche we ran there. After a month of running there, it's time to move on.

We begin round 3 with the same number of drivers as we began the first round, 8. Going from the lower powered FF cars earlier to this beast requires a moment to mentally "switch gears" when you're in the staging lanes.

Lap 1: The whole pack rounds turn 1 and I was surprised to find @TexHill on the inside line so fast as he started behind me, I bumped into him and then bumped into @racingchamp30 causing him to run off into the dirt. Realizing what I'd done I was busy looking in the rear-view mirror after the turn and bumped into @Mac1032763 luckily causing no harm.

Wanting to give concession to @racingchamp30, I was off my game and off my line going around turns 2 and 3 and ended up hitting the wall hard after a grass encounter. Rough start for me, lol.

Lap 2: @Mac1032763 is running 4th place behind @JamCar0ne and @TexHill with @Oshawa-Joe leading the way.

A few seconds later and from @Oshawa-Joe's perspective.

@AronD closing in on @TexHill and @Mac1032763. @racingchamp30, not far behind, has recovered well from our incident in the first lap and is about to begin a battle with Aron that will last for 9 laps.

Lap 3: @cesarr64 and I are having some fun in a game of chicken as we head into the final turn. He would brake a little earlier which I would call a win because he makes it out of the turn first while I'm barely holding on out on the marbles. We'll have a few back-and-forth moments over the next few laps as well.

Lap 16: @racingchamp30 and @TexHill entering T10 in 3rd and 4th.

View attachment 1421454
Lap 17: @Oshawa-Joe ran 1st from beginning to end and crosses the line with a comfortable lead over @JamCar0ne.

@AronD and I have been battling for P5 since lap 12 and he takes the checkered flag first despite my best efforts.

I've been thinking about how I cover these races and have decided not to include as many mistakes as I have been in the past. Although it is a part of the story and explains how positions are won and lost sometimes, I don't want to rub salt in any wounds. Thanks @Oshawa-Joe for sharing the article by @IceWarden with me. There are some good pointers in there for using the photo mode in GT7 (I took all the pictures for this week already buy I'll be implementing some of those techniques next week) and it also confirmed how I was feeling about the inglorious moments I was posting. Focusing on the good from now on!

For those of you who haven't tried it yet, @JamCar0ne's Donkey Kong challenge is a lot of fun. The pouring rain is a change of pace from our usual SNAIL activities. Thanks, JamCar and hope to see everyone posting times. The leaderboard is waiting!
I haven't been posting many photos lately, but that may change. But, I will never be able to live up to the standard you have set radliff. You do an astounding job. I would like to read the @IceWarden article as well. Please send it to me. Thanks, for the photos and the article.
