Yeah I'd say if you want all the cars you really have to commit to the process lol.

I usually aim for 4 Million Credits a day, but I tend to spread those out. Two times earlier in the day, then 2 times later in the evening. I'm not destroying my sanity doing it one after another at once, I can do other things (I tend to enjoy other games in-Between or I'm making something in Photoshop) and then come back without feeling tired of it. If I end up getting 2 Million credits from the Time Trials (assuming I'm fast enough), then that's only 2 times for me to grind that day and the rest is having fun doing a race I enjoy (Telling you right now, Super Formula + Watkins Glen = Absolute Blast) or trying to experiment with stuff. Currently, I have 4 of the 8 20 Million Credit cars thanks to this (Courtesy of my longtime favorite since GT2, the Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe) and I don't honestly feel exhausted. It really takes ALOT for me to feel like its a chore or a job and I'm nowhere near that just yet.

I was grinding Le Mans for credits, usually 2 or 3 times a day. And although I was using a different car for every race it started to get boring/annoying pretty fast.
Luckily I now have all the cars I always wanted and don't need to grind anymore. I just bought one of the 20kk cars, the McLaren F1. All the other ones I can live without. It's just not worth the grind for me. I was on the verge of buying the W196 when it was released (I had the credits) but in the end I chose not to. And now that I've driven it in Daily Race, I'm glad I didn't buy it.
I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a nice car, but it's just not worth 20kk for me.

I still think that PD's decision to use IRL prices as a base for their in game prices is fundamentally flawed. Usually IRL nobody pays that much for those cars just because they are nice to drive or look at. Those cars are bought because the buyer hopes to get even more money when he sells the car later. And that's because those cars are rare IRL. There is just this one car Fangio drove at Spa. In game there's an infinite amount.

Exactly this. I tend to hop on and do a few laps on the TT's, run the weekly races if they're available, or one (maybe two, occasionally) Sardegna/Le Mans grinds. That only pulls in around 0.8mil to 1.6mil per day, but there's little need to try do three times that. Eventually you'll get all the cars - there's no rush.
Same here. I did a lot of grinding in the beginning, none now. I have every car I want, and many duplicates of most.

Exactly! We're not rich guys who buys a Monet for the living room. We just want to "drive" cars that otherwise we wouldn't even touch or see in person.

The virtual price of a car should be more linked to its performance rather than to its real life collector valuation (rarity, appraisal, historical significance etc).

I think the one car I'm really desiring from the LCD is a Nissan Fairlady Z432, specifically in Monte Carlo Silver. I do have the one that you win from the missions, too, but I think that one comes in Safari Gold.

No. There are some cars that may have different interior colors depending on the (exterior) body color. The mentioned Mercedes 300 SL is one of these cases.
Thanks for the answer! So that means I have to buy another SL if it’s not in my garage already. Do you happen to have a list of such cars? I’m itching to collect every variant of my favorite cars

I don't have a list, but I can tell you some other examples of this situation.

Besides the Mercedes 300 SL '54, I know the Tuscan Speed '00, the Jaguar E-Type '61 and the Corvette C1 have different interior colors depending on the body color. The Honda Integra '95 has red seats in the Championship White body color, while the Granada Black Pearl painting has "normal" black seats.

I’m 2mil shy of the 25,5mil
needed to buy the remaining Asian cars from brand central. Than I’ll have to grind to buy the remaining 6 20mil cars to complete my car collection. 😭

Granted I started a whole 2 years later, but I've decided to just knockout the 20 Million credit cars first and THEN focus on...well everything else purely due to them being far cheaper. Currently on route to at this point be at 20 million by the end of this week to get whichever one shows up next when I do have it.

The most money efficient strategy is to check off the cars first that have a risk of raising in price drastically. The 20 mil cars won't raise anymore.

yep, if the goal is to collect em all you're better off leaving the 20M cars till the end. Might as well get the 10M-and-up cars before they climb towards 20M. You could potentially be saving yourself millions of credits (and grinding)...

Another day, another time the 300 SL enters the rotation without a new colour…

I can do with the fire engine red, PD? 🥹 I know red’s popped up the first time round in the game, but surely it’s better than the 2 shades of black and gray for the umpteenth time…

Edit: it seems that changing the exterior colour of the 300 SL in GT Auto also turns the interior into undifferentiated black leather, with the dashboard turning into an unrelated white :dunce: That negates my demand for the 300 SL in another colour then. Can’t believe I’ve missed that over all this time. Sorry.

Just to add to the information provided above, the Corvette C2 (red, which exclusively comes with the silver body, tan, and… blueish black?), the R5 Turbo (red and blue) and the DS 21 Pallas (brown and black) are also cars which have their interior colours change according to the body colour offered. There could be more cars, though.

While that's good to know (I sure hope they don't, my poor heart already had to stomach them suddenly springing another 20 Million credit car on us in November), I just wanted to get the most expensive stuff out of the way so I don't have to grind anymore.

Will likely have to check the complete LCD list to see for sure but last I looked, I think I kind of have a whole bunch of those actually so the only things left ARE the 20 Million Credits.

Like ZevZoq said, it would save you grinding. But if you already have those, ofcourse go after the 20 mil cars :)
