Watched most of Mike's feed from last night, good clean starts guy's! (from what I could see)
Congrats to Hanable for his first overall in just his second week with us. Camel, yeah, whatever, :D
Hey Bear, leave Mike's yellow car alone, he's racing it in my honour until I get back :P

Congrats to @The__Camel, this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Group A win
Congrats to @Hanable, this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Group B win

Wtf?.. my substitute driver didn't take all the 1st place finishes?..wtf?

Furthermore, I just can't find a satisfying answer to why Kirsten Dunst did the Turning Japanese cover video. While obviously hot as hell, I'm plagued with the WHY?! Some articles state she's been a long time anime fan, but that's about as far as I can get. Oh well, I'm still thankful @GUTTERBOY3007 shared it. She can turn me Japanese anytime :sly:=👍
Why?
You ask why?
Why do we have Kirsten Dunst doing anime cosplay?
I'll tell you why. The same reason as sunsets, steak dinners and ale.
Because God loves us and wants us to be happy, that's why.
Don't ask why, just enjoy.

@Mike Lobban I love purple too. But as men we do need to make sure we use the popper phraseology of 'Plum crazy purple' for any tint in the range. And of course 'Mauve' is unacceptable.

The reason I posted this he video is because we were joking about the song during one of the races, and I mentioned that she did a cover of it. I think the reason she did the video is because like a lot of women, especially on Halloween, they like any excuse to dress up sexy in a costume and be flirty. Or else she hasn’t had a lot of work lately and the rent payment was due, so this was easy $ (or Yen)! Lol. I never thought she was that hot, always cute, but not that “wow”. She does look good in anime clothing though. She’s sort of like Joan Jett; cute, but in certain videos she can look hot as hell.

Well, don’t know how I got 5th in race 2 because I was about 1 measly liter short on fuel and sitting on the side of the track on the last lap :yuck:. Mental Note to Self: Don’t trust the fuel/lap reading in pitstop setup
:banghead:.
But hey, this no-pitstop night (yeah, I know we’ve done it before) was another example to keep mixing things up. I love it. Mike & Steve make it about driving, strategy and abundant amounts of laughter. BTW, missed Bear’s racing, unique voice & funny comments.
Did anyone tell Hanable that he gets to gloat in the thread this week?

Yeah, I see your Joan Jett and raise you one Lee Aaron, Canada's metal queen. The guitar player with the headband is still a good friend of mine. He's a baker now in Toronto.

Wow...

Ah yes, Joan Jett - love her. I got to see her live in '03 and she was awesome - looked great and played hard - a true professional.
I'm a big fan of Ann and Nancy as well. Still, for me Debbie Harry is the queen.

I bought a Sony Gold Wireless headset in middle of May this year on a special for $89 CAD (regular $120)

Mute button failed after about 4 months of service.

Contacted Sony and they said to send it in. I have to pay to get it there, they'll fix it and send it back.

Pack the thing up, go to Purlator and they quote me $58 to send it to Ontario. I didn't send it.

Contacted Sony again today and they will not budge from their policy. I tell them they make it extremely difficult for the customer to access the warranty service. (Plus I toll them a lot of other colorful things)

I saw in the Sony forum that the mute button seems to be a problem item on this headset.

How happy are you with the product: Extremely unhappy
How happy are you with the service: Extremely unhappy
Would you recommend the product: Absolutely not
Would you recommend the service: Sorry, don't understand the question - Can't comment on something that doesn't exist.

Some of you may see this somewhere else

Yeppers.....Mount Panorama, aka, Bathurst.

Now for the fun part....open wheels.
A group will drive the Renault 3.5

B group will drive the Formula C

Ok, who just shat in their pants......I know what you're thinking.......open wheels at Bathurst........are you nuts? Well, yeah, but that's beside the point. Like Rob says, I like to mix it up. Both cars are actually a lot of fun, especially coming down the hill.......hang on tight.
Next next week we are going way off the reservation and hold a surprise night. No penalties, no points, no Pits, no seriousness, no nothing. The racing will be serious, but with a twist. Camel will be cursing. But wait, that's not the real surprise.........I wonder what it could be? I guess you all will have to wait till next next week to find out.

.
I always was partial to Nancy Wilson from Heart.
I have a killer Nancy Wilson story........remind me. It'll have to wait for Monday to relay it, a couple of guys know already.

I also have been damaged. I also think the 917 could possibly make it right. Although, it would really take the 917 AND the 512M to alleviate the pain....

But open wheel...

Drove both today, and it’ll be a fun night! The A cars will need to be super patient coming down the hill if they find themselves behind one of the continentals...

Any rain in the forecast?

The lemans cars would work too, I was talking bout the mighty can am 1000 plus hp. 917/10
Even camel would be cursing, especially with 100% boost. It hits over 250 mph. In the draft, possibly more if some brave soul took off the downforce.

At least you guys get to race! I’d love nothing more than to hop in that FC and do some laps :banghead:

I watched “The Green Hell” for the third time yesterday and I’m starting to run out of classic car films to watch. Thank god there is still so much race content on YouTube.
I’m still at least a couple more weeks out from doin anything on race night. We just got a whack of snow which means I’m definitely housebound for a bit, can’t even get out to shop in the wheelchair. Gonna have to figure out some skis for it.

I dont understand what I'm supposed to be cursing about. I have never cursed over having to drive any certain car. I dont think I have ever cursed over a set of rules either.....as long as I have the option to use a controller if there will be a lot of carnage. As long as it has some sort or form of racing involved I'm usually content. I think I may look at the description of the word "racing" differently than others yes. What some call racing....I call driving. To me a race means that at least two competitors are trying to get from point A to point B faster than the other. Driving is when it doesnt matter who gets from point A to point B the quickest. I dont care for the driving part....I do care about the racing part.

RIP Roy Clark, upstairs pickin with Glen Campbell. Both were early guitar heros of mine.

Camel, sooooo serious. Lol. Believe me, next next week will be a clusterfunk, that's why I said you would hate it. If you insist on winning.....ha, think again. Sgeti too. Mayhem will be had. It will be similar to a regular race But, it's a surprise, so mums the word.
It'll be a Nancy Wilson night.

Check out touring car masters racing in Australia. It starts in 2012... old 69 camaros, mustangs, Amx, 64 falcon with a 289 in it. Holden's, it's all the old trans am cars, but with upgraded suspension. They are everybit as fast as the v8 super cars. But they look and sound awesome!.. may tide you over for a few weeks.
