Guess who's back?...Back again?....Guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back, guess who's back?
Fanatec - Check
Firmware update - Check
Practice laps (with corner lines off) - Check (Just a few laps today. First time after 3 weeks inactivity since just got wheel so doe dig)
.....So you know what that means. I'll be rejoining tomorrow Monday. WOOT WOOT!!!!
With all the Fanayec talk, I priced a set out . For what I'd want, including the manual stick shift, I'd be looking at $1200 . Im relatively happy with my G29, save for intermittent sticking pedals, and $1 grand ain't going to make me any faster .but the Fanatec stuff looks sooo nice. Still, not happening. I have invested too much into Thrustmaster accessories to start over. .
You’d have to wait until April next year!Same here but the dream this year is a little too expensive and my wife has been raising eyebrows to it but.... I want it so bad

Do they charge your credit card immediately or when they ship? I wonder if one pre-orders, if one can later opt out?I pre-ordered mine yesterday.
I'm a previous G27 user, that upgraded to T300 when the sales were just right - got my T300 for $249 during one of those one day Fry's sales. (It was the first year of the G29 - and they were going for $399 still). That justified the T3PA Pro pedals to me. $250 for the wheel & stock pedals, plus upgraded pedals for the same price of a G29. I also had a $100 Amazon gift card from my mother-in-law that I used for the pedals. So, I was all in for $300 bucks. BUT, Here's the best part: At the end of the G27 life cycle Amazon started selling them for $199. Hearing others talk about issues and having to wait for replacement parts, I ordered a backup unit. When the G27s went out of production, the prices skyrocketed on EBay. I sold it for about $325. So, I really upgraded wheels for about $175 - a necessary upgrade to play on the PS4. And, oh yeah, I STILL have a G27 that I can sell on EBay if I want - and they're still going for around $150. So my wheel choice was purely a financial one. And I've been in love with my Thrustmaster. Compared to a Logitech, I think it's the Bee's knees. (My long winded point. I don't think I could spend Fanatec money and be happy.)The gauntlet has been firmly thrown down.

Man the Fanatec gear sweet boy. That freaking thing looks so premium plus the reputation is excellent so I expect it to last for a good while.....But @davidt33 , I'm still jealous. But buy a clutch pedal and shifter for crying out loud! Don't be a poser. (Like the other Fanatec boy... shhh)
You forgot to post this pic of yourself in your new Fanatec clothes they sent youMan the Fanatec gear sweet boy. That freaking thing looks so premium plus the reputation is excellent so I expect it to last for a good while.
I always said if when the time came I had to but another wheel I would have loved to get a Fanatec....In my case the CSL Elite bundle for PS4. Cost me a pound and a crown but glad in the end I finally got it.
Was just able to start using it yesterday for the first time so still have more practising to do but it feels distinctly better already. Happy as pappy.
Edit: As for the pedal clutch, nah I prefer using the wheel paddles. Works well enough. If it's one other add-on I wouldn't mind getting is a handbrake. I figure that's the next thing I'll be getting for it soon as I replenish some savings.
LOL. You like my new garbs eh?You forgot to post this pic of yourself in your new Fanatec clothes they sent you

I always race cockpit boy. Real racers race cockpit. My god man, dapper as a prince! But... how do you get the beach sand out of that gear?
Also, how do you chaps start a race without a clutch pedal - Heresy! Well you better at least be driving cockpit, or I double down on the poser comment...

That really p|sses me off. I did not get a liesure suit jacket with my “F”ing equipment. Must have been a canadian offer only. Sure looks like something that Mr. Bawsome should wear the week he is gloating. You forgot to post this pic of yourself in your new Fanatec clothes they sent you

Good racing tonight bro's. Really enjoyed myself tonight.
Ditto to that. And true, Aero racing with that controller like a boss. I tip my hat.As much as I whined about the car, it really was a great combo - great to have close racing with people from both Groups.
Welcome Hanable, really enjoyed the close racing with you tonight. Also, great to have you back again tonight Steve, great job on that controller - I couldn't a done it!
Second race forward
@GTLehman I’ll just leave this here for you. I figured you might want to add it to your gift-list letter to Santa...

Well well well, look who is Mr. Baaawesome for the week. If it wasn't for Hanable in the last race, it would have been a sweep for this guy. The last half of the race saw me doing everything to get by him, to no avail. Nice driving by him.
I figured out why my car feels different after a pit stop, I usually ignore the tire pressures thinking they will not change without a tire change. Duh is me......how long have I owned the game?
Here is the Baaawesome one in action.
Congrats Lobbie.Well well well, look who is Mr. Baaawesome for the week.
