A lot of you guys called Sunday SNAIL home for a long time. Yeah you: @Mike Lobban @aerolite @Alex ONeill @SGETI @Xradkins @Schmiggz @Gr8_Lakes @GTLehman @RobbiefromBC @Hanable @Zii1993

Since you guys have jumped ship the only way its possible to race each other now is here in PCars.

Theres a few of us who primarily still race on Sundays in GT Sport, but will join you guys from time to time here: myself, @Rednose58 @Rob Brown @McTrucker and a few others.

In order to bridge the gap that separates us - how about an event where we use both games. With new and old faces. There are plenty of Sunday SNAILS who don't own PCars yet, but with an event like this they may look into buying it. And perhaps join you guys on Mondays. The same goes for you guys that are reading this that dont own Sport, or havent played it enough. An organized event like this may spark your interest in trying out Sundays with us instead of the wreck fest online lobbies.

The details are still in the works but this wont happen if none of you guys are interested obviously. But I think this would be an enjoyable evening of racing and a win-win for everyone.

The basic jist of it is:

Team Lobanaro: Field up to 8 drivers

Team SNAIL: Field up to 8 drivers

We race 1 or 2 combos in PCars, and 1 or 2 combos in GT Sport. Both teams can be in their own party chat (its a team event) and work on strategy and help each other. Points are tallied for each respective driver/team, and whichever team has the most points at the end of the night wins "Bawwesome" rights between the two leagues. Since both leagues have a wide variety of skill levels we'll try to field evenly matched teams. There might even be prizes involved. This friendly rivalry/scrimmage can be run a couple times a year to see whos the best out of the two.

I dont want to clog up this thread and piss off the BOB's... so if you're interested and want to see this event happen click here for the thread

And if you dont own GT Sport - just a reminder: you can now buy it for $20

The Gauntlet has been thrown

Do you accept?

Nothing to see here...
I see what you did there ;)

And in regards to Chris’s post above, I posted the following in his thread:

Hey Chris, I believe you would have enough support from the Lobanaro Lounge to make a go of this.
If it was to happen a little further into the new year I might be interested. Right now I’m still not able to use my rig and trying to race with the DS4 is painful, (though I’m feeling optimistic about getting back into my rig soon).
My buddy brought his PS4 over last week so I could try RDD2 and he had GTS on it, so I did a lap of the Nordschleife in a ‘76 TA Firebird, it was ok :)
BTW, GTSpurt is $29.99 here.

See this can be a fun event because you guys are great drivers regardless of class. Im down just gotta buy gtsport again. My original copy had a high speed collision with the wall due to a daily race.

Sorry mike I could not find the link for the iPad version 1 , 2 and 3 only and it's probably a bit to late, but go on apple website and follow instructions to set up a profile then download the beta which actually lasts untill 2028 , and your iPad will work as it did before, Apple were not forthcoming with this info because they wanted you or us to buy new iPad lol,.

Count me in!

Just an FYI if you’re looking to get yourself an early Christmas present: F1 2018 is $30 on the PSN Store right now. The career mode is really good (and really deep) and the online racing is pretty good too, as long as you race with friends or are lucky in a public lobby. There aren’t very many kids or intentional crash fests in the F1 lobbies because most of the idiots gravitate towards Gran Turismo Sport or the GT3 lobbies on PCars. Most of the accidents online are because people are unfamiliar with the track or they overdrive the car.

And if you’re looking for tactile transducers (“bass/butt shakers”) for your sim rig or home theater, Parts Express has them on sale for $39. https://www.parts-express.com/auras...&utm_content=299-028&utm_campaign=email121418

This car, the Ginetta G55 GT4. Is it only me or when you apply brakes on a straight this car tends to pull left or right?
Try it and see. Accelerate down a straight...you don't have to go particularly fast, apply brakes (keeping car straight) just to test and see if the car pulls left or right.
Just wondering if is just me or if it's a peculiar nature of this car.

It's a very small and very light car so it's very possible that it behaves like that.

Thanks. Would like some to test and see for sure.
Hey David, Holiday stuff has had me too busy to do any testing. If I get a chance tomorrow I'll give her a go. But off hand, it sounds like the back end is getting light under heavy braking. Things to try: Stiffer front springs, increased brake bias towards front, stiffer dampers in front, increased rebound in rear dampers.

just a few tuning options to try. Hopefully I'll get a chance to do a little testing and tuning tomorrow. I fully expect to be attending Monday night - No Naps this week!

I like to run test laps, then watch the replay in exterior camera. Look at what the car's doing. Is the nose dipping when you hit the brakes, are the rear or front tires locking up, etc.

Just ran a test - dead straight every time- even with hands off the steering. Flat surface (Long Beach), warm brakes and tires.

First thing - are you using the default setup? You could just reset to the default setup, but if you don't want to:
You said you don't need to be going fast - but make sure that you are not locking the front brakes (again ensure warm tires). Turn down the brake pressure, and adjust brake bias to the rear a little. Maybe watch an outside camera to see if you are locking wheels.
If not, maybe you've set up excessive front toe-out (or toe-in, but less likely that would have the effect). If it darts either direction this would be my first guess. Check the rear toe as well and caster next for equal left and right.
Check to make sure you are running the same tire pressures left to right - especially in the front - but this would probably make the car pull the same direction each time.
Heck, check all your suspension settings left to right.

Second thing - try a controller - see if it acts any differently with no steering input.
If it's just happening with this car though, it's probably not the controller.

If you are practicing for a ginetta race, you shouldnt show up.
Or, show up then bail when you're not winning...:dopey:

Thanks. This lil piece of info help. I just usually jump in and race on default setting because im stoned when i race you guys and dont want to do high tuning which results in weird lap times. Gotta start taking tuning more seriously. Also i got used to running spec with the sport guys.

Thanks for testing and reporting back Lehman. Yup it is default loose setup. I always load loose default first if I don't already have a tune. Only thing I adjusted was lowering the amount of laps to 15. It was very strange because I don't recall that happening before or generally. Is why I was wondering if was a characteristic of the particular car.

The only thing I adjusted otherwise prior to practicing with the Ginetta was an in-wheel setting for the Fanatec wheel was FOR (Force) from default 100 to "80" because the steering wheel I found had too much tension when trying to turn into tight corners and someone suggested to try lowering "FOR" on the wheel. I'll do some more testing and investigating soon's I fire up the PS4 this morning.

One thing though. Your suggestion of "adjust brake bias to the rear a little". GR8 said the opposite...."increased brake bias towards front". Which would it be if needs adjusting?
