Ughh... The HOT motor was the problem to start. As a journeyman electrician I know the smell, and when to pull the plug - IMMEDIATELY!!!! So, after a couple PS4 startups the wheel was doing the same thing: Calibrating, then just sitting there getting HOT as Fudge! Like within fifteen seconds of calibrating. So I did exactly as you recommended, downloaded the driver update software, plugged my wheel into the PC, and my PC recognized the wheel as a friggin' T150! So, needless to say, kinda hard to get the latest version of the wrong wheel's firmware installed. Hard, but not impossible. I think I have it cracked. I was able to wipe the wheel's firmware and then update it. Everything seems cool now, at 3:20 am
. I'm just now going to take it on track and see how it works. Frustrating night. I kept calling Beartec, and all I got was, "We're sorry, all operators are busy at this moment, please try your call again later." If you ask me, Bear needs to hire more employees. Oh wait, they're still hibernating.
