Stirling Moss Tribute Night

Thanks to a couple of you who mentioned doing a Stirling Moss tribute night, a great idea.
Red had sent me a list of cars Moss had driven, and then I did a bunch more research to see if we could replicate some of his races. To do this with the two cars we do have, means racing at four different tracks for the night.
Those two cars are the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, and the 1959 Aston Martin DBR1/300.
In '61 he raced the Ferrari at Brands Hatch GP and Silverstone Classic, so we will go to both of those in that car.
The two tracks we have that he raced the DBR in '59, are the Lemans Vintage and Nurburgring Nord. We will race it at Lemans Vintage (you'll have lots of time to have a sip or two on the straight, lol). But I don't think the Nord would be a good fit for us after Lemans, as much as I love the former. Moss raced the DBR at Sebring that year, but we don't have that track, so we decided to stay in the USA and will race it at the Glen GP as it was open in '59.

“Interesting that @GUTTERBOY3007 never came back, he must've got a better offer when a certain 'Yellow Bandit' 'accidentally' 'thought he was the host after Mike left'...”

Lol. Nope, not a better offer but I got a call that the shop was done changing the coil springs out on the struts and shocks. I wanted to pick them up ASAP so I could finish the suspension upgrade. That was the last task I needed done before I could instal them then take it back in for an alignment. Trying to get stuff done before it gets too hot to work comfortably in the garage. We’ll be in the mid to high 80s starting next week. Monday’s for awhile should be free so I can drive around with you guys and spew nonsense (among other stuff).

And we will be manual shifting and heel-and-toeing right?

awwwwww man I was really hoping to do those cars again to help retain my AWESOMENESS. But I Guess I can enjoy a night in the vintage stuff too.

A word to the new kid (GUY, PERSON idk so I am going to assume) please don't take anything said seriously we all bust each others balls a lot especially the old guys that run this place. They are worse than a married couple I swear.

If you get beat by one of us, don't take it too hard. Remember most of us are senior citizens, we have just taken our geritol, had an afternoon nap. Donned our depends.... where was I going with this?
Oh, just had another thought.... I knew sterling's older brother... Pete.

I understand Pete was a tree-hugger, while Sterling was the "polluter".

To start, this was an awesome theme night. We all need to dig into our imaginations to come up with stuff like this. Mike and Steve have been tasked with picking combos for a long time for one game. I'm sure it's getting tough. I bet any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you to @Rednose58 ??? for the idea?

On another note. I moved my seat back, stood between seat and wheel, found a good center of gravity on my rig, got a good hold of it, and tried to lift the whole rig like a squat. NOPE!!! Not with my bad back. Lifting by the end, front, side, etc., I'm guessing 450 lbs. was an exaggeration. Probably closer to 350 lbs. :ill:

That was a great night, the theme worked well, and it was different going to four tracks during the night. How can you not like those cars!
Good to have you back Hanable, I see you haven't lost any speed! And Dirk, :D, hope you enjoyed your first night with us. We apologize for Colts, his megahertz drone was getting a little out of hand :banghead: :D

Congrats to @Hanable, this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the overall win

Sucked getting disconnected race 2.......I woulda won that race. I was reeling Sgeti in for 2nd when it happened. A few fbombs were dropped.
Great idea for the combos Red, more suggestions are welcome......that means everyone...got a combo you might want to run, let us know.

David, I only got about 40% of the night recorded it never restarted after my disconnect, not worth posting. Check my channel if you want to see what I got. Mikeymikeymotorbikey.
