Nice racing tonight. Should be pretty competitive series. Wish I came in earlier to do more than just one race.
Just want to have tire compound thing clarified. We have to change them from RH to RS or RS to RH during the race during our only pitstop correct? I watched the replay and for everyone seemed like everyone stayed on the same compound. Is this just a replay glitch or am I missing something?

The lobby will enforce the tire compound rule but yes you must change tires during the race. You can pit as many times as you want but you do have to change at least once. Additionally, you must start at least one race on RH and at least 1 race on RS. Also you can't mix the compounds (IE fronts on RS and Rear on RH)

One pit stop is mandatory, you can try a two stop strategy if you like. I think it was a glitch because I saw then when watching Race 1.

Thanks for clarifying. I didn't know lobby can enforce this but good to know.
So then in replays it's impossible to know who runs on what compound right? It always shows compound people started on. Or is it just my replays?

My replays were showing the same glitch. It showed me making the switch but no one else

All this complaining about Tokyo bogles me!
It's so easy!

Don't run up to the first corner at full speed and think you can make it!, instead at the pit-out down shift without letting off the gas, then go another gear down and let up, at the red and white stip start braking and down shifting till you in second and let off the brake and turn, at the apex start to throttle up and get third and exit right next to the wall, FLYING,!
peddle the second corner in third, get fourth on exit and stay off them curbs and exit near every wall at full power with a touch!
Same for the inside wall, don't touch em!
Wrong topic?

I never drove reverse Tokyo before, and it's harder in a car you haven't driven before either.

Edit: We raced there at the practice session, remember? One race per track.

Awesome racing last night. To be expected with that awesome car we’re driving!

Let this be a lesson to ya’ll…never underestimate the importance of pit stop practice, especially gas requirements. The only practice I did was when Grimm opened up the room last night and the wine must have made me forget about pit strategy as I was focused more on tyre strategy. So I was doing quite respectable in race 1 until around the start of lap 14 when I looked down and realized I had next to no fuel in my tank and there was no way I was not going to run out of gas before having to make a second pit stop…race 1 over :( note to self…need more than 10 liters of fuel for next races.

Race 2 was quite fun though especially the first few laps, thanks for that Grimm, great stuff as always when your car is next to Parcells. Unfortunately I cannot and will not apologize for my defensive driving throughout those laps cause it was a total blast holding you and others up. Wasn’t expecting to be on the pole position and thought to myself “this is going to be interesting cause I’m on hard tyres and I was pretty sure most around me were on soft…they’re gonna be pissed.” Oh well its all in good fun and makes for awesome strategies!!!

Formal series request: Open mics on unofficial events such as last evenings practice session.

Festivus was over a week ago and Parcells still hasn’t had the opportunity to share the airing of the grievances with some of the regulars on how you disappointed me throughout 2014. Like Brnt for example when he screwed me over on our season 4 team championship bid. I didn’t even get paid for my efforts but have since forgiven Brnt for his transgressions. Besides it was Whiskey who really screwed us over that season but Parcells isn’t bitter or anything.

On the open mic thing, @Walden, no we cannot count the last race but that was an awesome try, @IThinkitWas..Alex? awesome battle in race 2 I think it was and @grimm, you crack me up buddy telling us before the races begun that there would be no penalties last night that was priceless. You should know I cheated and started with race hard on every race. In my defense though that was instigated when I screwed up in race one dropping to the back of the pack. That put me in what should have been a poor grid position for race 2 (when I had originally planned to start on soft) so obviously I had to go with race hard to start race 2 and with an even worse grid position for race 3 what was a Parcells supposed to do? Couldn’t darn well win the race starting at the back with soft tyres now could I? So I was forced to cheat but feel better now that I’ve got that off my chest.

Happy New Year’s everyone!

Normally I would have had mics on for the non official races such as last night, however last night was a dress rehearsal for me as host. Since we were going to have a full room, it was important to make sure we had a stable lobby so we could get through the night without having issues. Going forward, unofficial races will have mics on.

Parcells hopes to race but may have a conflicting bridge game. Can you put me down for unconfirmed and if I can make it I'll just go through KOQ?

Go Bama!
