Damn right well done Parcells!, what did I do? Hope it doesn't get me in any trouble.

Fantastic racing last night everyone. Thoroughly enjoyed all three races except for the two times a minor loss in concentration caused me valuable positions but that’s racing and the loss in concentration during race 2 ended up allowing me to partake in a great battle with Grimm and Tapout during the latter half of that race so really another win for Parcells even though I screwed myself out of a second place finish in that race.

But race 2 was definitely the funnest for me cause I had so many tight battles throughout the race. Besides the awesome battle with Grimm and Tapout during the latter stages that was nothing compared to the battle me, Zii & Warden had during the first half of that race. Probably near lap 2 we were inches apart from each other and stayed that way until about lap 8 it was incredible racing, well done gentlemen!

@Warden – on lap 7 of race 2 Zii’s car started flying all over the place from lag, which made for an interesting lap to say the least but in hindsight I’m wondering if it was me who was lagging? What did you see Sir?

I don't think it was you parcells I'm pretty sure it was me for some reason but at least it didn't destroy the race and I didn't disco lol

Nice pics Cape.. I've been really busy and just now saw them.

zii was lagging and ended up teleporting into my back seat for the off you reference; his view was completely normal, showing me just going off. We three had an intense battle going too . . .
Do you plan on using every touring car? I was thinking of buying all of them so they're ready.
Grim already answered, but I'll add that every car with "Touring Car" in its name is a potential. They're all interesting to drive so I don't think it'd hurt anyone to pick them up, especially considering the log-in bonus seasonal event payouts these days makes it so easy to score big payouts.

Stewards Report
We had a couple penalties applied to this weeks results which have been reflected in the current standings
  • Tapout3013: -8 points for not following Post Race Inspection process. By rule, 8 point deduction for each infraction
  • Tapout3013: -14 points for starting all three races on Race Soft tires. By rule, highest finish is DQ'd
  • Euclid: -5 for starting all three races on Race Soft tires. By rule, highest finish is DQ'd
As this was the first time using the current process and the fact we had a full room with mixed tires, we all (myself included) need to be extra mindful at the starts and the first couple laps. Just because you are on race soft tires, does not make you superman and can push those on Race Hard tires around. You have the better tires, show some patience. Additionally, remember that braking distances are very different between the two tire compounds. Saw some questionable passes early on in race 2 and 3. No IR's were submitted but there very easily could have been some. I trust that next week will be better.

All that said, there was some great battles up and down the grid throughout the race and I feel the first week of the season went off well thanks to all of you making it so much fun. Thanks guys

Next week the series heads to Germany and the Nurburgring GP/D circuit. Hope to see you all there.

Race 2 battle for 2nd place at the end was incredible. That was a chain of 5 or 6 cars at times!

Last race I messed up and ran out of fuel from 2nd place. It was a great run, started back in 13th, was up to 4th by my first stop. I would probably be somewhere between 3rd and 5th if that didn't happen but I'm in 8th and the points are close.

I'm just really excited to be getting better and be up there contending with the other greats! Keep it coming each week boys!

Grimm and Brnt, super job on the replay fellas! The commentary was very entertaining, an enjoyable viewing experience made that much better because I actually got paid to watch it since officially I’m working right now.

But I do have one question for you guys…on more than one occasion there was commentary regarding Parcells unwillingness to give up…is that wrong? I thought that’s what I was supposed to do so let me know if I’m not doing it right. :)

What I was referring too was it doesn't matter what the race situation is, I can count on a really hard fought battle when trying to pass you. There are times in a race where its better to give up the spot and not lose time vs going side by side for a whole lap. It could be that its so much fun that for us that "screw the track position" comes to mind and just battle it out.

In any case it was meant as a compliment. Glad you enjoyed the recap.

I couldn’t have answered my rhetorical question any better Grimm…great point on the should we keep battling and lose overall time or keep the intensity up and try this next turn side by side…latter is usually more entertaining!

Race 2 of the first nite of the first season was the race Grim and I chose to recap. Was a good race with lots of close action, enjoy.

That was so much fun to watch but please dear god get half of that crap off the screen. Turn map off and have it just show the grid order on the right. It will still show the top line of stats but that's a lot better than what it is in that video. Just too much clutter in my opinion.

I'll let @brntguy confirm but the map, gauges and running order needs to stay on. We don't have time to go sit thru the race an note all the close battles and the do the broadcast. By having the map on, we can see where there are groups of cars and jump to that action. The gauges are important to see given that tire ware and fuel levels play a key role. Remember, these are not highlight videos but rather a rebroadcast of a race with commentary.

I get needed the map to see where cars are close together but in a real broadcast they can't see tire info. They try to make the call and tell what drivers are on based on how they are driving, when they pit, and probably other things I can't think of. It makes it more fun to not know when someone's tires are off and they're about to pit. Like a real broadcast. Again, just my two cents. I want to brainstorm to make these series' the best they can be.

One more lap and I would've gotten past you Grim and tapout! How often in great racing leagues do driver's wish for one more lap? Signs of good racing the whole way through.

@Desert, Don’t take this personally but you might want to consider just backing off a bit with your endless constructive criticism of some of the best organized and well run series most of us have had the pleasure to be a part of.

I’m sure your meaning is well intended but it doesn’t always come off that way. And the guys taking care of everything in this series with all the extra’s (pictures, videos, replays, plethora of stats etc.) know exactly what they’re doing and doing a super job so just let them be and remember to thank them from time to time for the effort they put towards making the series so awesome.

Pleasantries aside, back to constructive criticism…don’t pay attention to anything Penguin says guys :), Parcells loves all the extra information about the races, it keeps me well informed as to how the race is playing out. Real broadcasts would love to show all this extra info. too but unfortunately the sponsors prefer well placed advertisements over fan enjoyment.
