Introduction
Do you miss shuffle racing from GT5? A friend of mine, @lightningd, created a working formula for calculating the car shuffling required to simulate a real shuffle racing experience similar to GT5. He did extensive research developing the first list of 16 cars which are in the 410PP category. All you need to do is purchase the cars & change the oil.

Rules
Strict adherence to the OLR is required. We highly recommend you read it thoroughly and understand its key components: Rules 01, 05-12, 14, 15, & 17. Throughout the OLR you will notice bold text to emphasize key points. You will also find green text that is used as addendums to the OLR added by S.T.a.R. Racing League.
You are not required to join S.T.a.R. Racing League to shuffle race. However, negligent or reckless drivers will not be tolerated and all shuffle racers are required to exhibit Good Racecraft at all times. If it is determined that you are a "dirty racer" you will be warned and/or disciplined up to and including being banned from future S.T.a.R. Lightning Shuffle races.

The Good Racecraft Guide
For further details on exemplary racecraft I have included a link to this document written by VBR. It explains some very key and clear details regarding Defending & Attacking, Overtaking & Being Overtaken, and Drafting. The Good Racecraft Guide also discusses decision making during a race. The article also includes further links to good racecraft.
After reading this document, you will have a far better understanding of what is expected of you as a driver in a S.T.a.R. sanctioned event.

How Do I Join?!
If you would like to officially join S.T.a.R. Racing League giving you complete access to all of it's events please complete steps 1-6. Otherwise all you need to do is purchase the cars & change the oil.
1: Create a GTP account (be sure to include your PSN ID) & post a request to join us on the thread.
2: Look for a reply to your request.
3: Submit your CAR COLOR/WHEELS COLOR/RACECAR NUMBER to @BustedFoSho via New Conversation
4: Run your TT
5: Read the OLR and be sure to ask questions if you do not understand something.
6: Check the weekly line-up, get your cars ready, and prepare to have fun!!!

~The Easy Lightning Fast Shuffle Formula~​

For your first race entering the lobby, use the #11 car from the specified list.
After first race, use the steps below to pick your next car.

LARGE LOBBY: If more than 8 racers, select your next car from the finishing position of the last race

SMALL LOBBY: If 8 or less racers, use the formula to create variation.

~ODDS~
If the last digit in your gap from the leader was an odd number (i.e. +4.205 "5" is odd)
take your finishing position, subtract 0.5 and double the result, and use that number on the list.
(i.e. You finished 7th. "7-0.5=6.5" "6.5x2=13". your car is the #13 car from the specified list)


~EVENS~
If the last digit in your gap from the leader was an even number or DNF (i.e +5.584 "4" is even)
Double your finishing position, and use that number on the list
(i.e. You finished 4th. "4x2=8") Your car is the #8 car from the specified list)

(NOTE: if you were the winner, use 2nd's places gap number)​

Driving rules follow the GTP OLR. Basically, don't be a d-bag.

Hosting
Two races per track. Eventually, this will be 1st race lower pp, 2nd race higher pp.
Races shall be approximately 8-10 minutes.
Tracks I'll leave up to the host, but personally I don't like reverse tracks, and nordschleife always seems to be a lobby killer.
I have noticed that sometimes after you change tracks, the previous race results disappear. I'm currently not sure if this is a glitch, or something happening within the lobby causes this, so host has to be aware.

Why the list is the way it is: After testing, and taking into account speed/handling/difficulty to drive, etc., I ranked the cars. Then I put them in this strategic order. With reverse grid, I didn't want the last place racer to get the fastest/easiest car, then win, then gets worst car and get last, and repeat. It's a mixed bag for a reason. After online testing, it may change again. If you think some kind of change is needed, save a replay explaining why, and tell me to save it if I'm in the lobby. Let me know your reasoning and I'll evaluate.
