What's up Snails! Long time no race.

I'm not usually a fan of running the same combo multiple times but this sounds interesting for a one time deal. I should be around so shoot me an invite if something goes down.

For anyone thinking of picking up Assetto but have not preordered.

I'm always up for something different. When and where?

Well... I may be out of town this weekend so probably not then. Do you think we'd get a better turnout if we did it on a Sunday? It's not like we have a whole lot of GT6 crossover aside from DP.

I'm probably gonna try to test a little later on if anybody might care to join me. I know PITS is tomorrow so some might want to practice that some more too I reckon..

Sunday nights are usually good for me, casual as all heck, I hope. We need some non structured tomfoolery. Me and Aero and the silent one,(Card), have our best laughs when the rules get thrown out. Use some of the tracks we can't use for league racing....Mohave comes to mind...

Like I say though, anywhere, anytime, any sheep.

I'm racing with the SRM guys tonight....... They are recruiting. Tuesday nights at 7:30 est for qualy and 8:30 for the race's. Good racers, mostly Canadians too. I am middle of the pack Mike again with them.

Alright fellas. I would love to hear your input. After a bit of testing it is clear that pitting for tires does not work properly even without weather change. So i fugure we can do this one if two ways; one is to make the event open tune, the other is to drop the mandatory pit stop and set tire wear to something that won't degrade excessively.

Let's tune 'em up. I'm not skeered.

Yeah, I'm not afraid of the tune either, but the more I think about it the more I think spec would work for this event better. The biggest hangup is the format for placing everybody in a particular car (which personally I think is kind of exciting). If it's spec tune them were all in a position to just race what we are dealt with and its still a drivers race with minimal time investment. If it's open tune and we don't know what car we'll be driving until after qualifying , that puts people in a position to tune 2 or 3 cars (it has been suggested that the Ford Sierra is also a worthy contender). I just think that's a bit much for a one-off event.

A third option is the good old fasioned honor system. We all agree to run the stock tune with 90 liters of fuel in an open tune lobby and stick with the mandatory pit stops. 👍

For the record, these 3 cars are very even in stock form. I can manage mid 1:34s in all three of them.

Since it's just a one off and for fun I'm all for the honor system and spec cars,I think that would be interesting

Teams would be those driving the same car.

So... If we have multiples of three driver count (6,9,12) we can use all three cars and score straight up. If the driver count does not coincide with the car count to be equal team sizes we could score the MFR Cup via average pts/driver. Not a perfect system, but like mentioned before, just a got fun race. :)

You guys are thinking the old DTM cars? Beemer, Merc and Ford?
Sounds great.
Teams? I agree. Two shortlists, A more faster guys, B less faster guys, every B chooses a A to team up decide a car and go.
Number of same car should be limited to promote diversity.

I'll post something up maybe tonight that outlines the format in more detail. Teams will be created via qualifying so things should be pretty equal since there would now be THREE Qually sessions to formulate. Plenty of opportunities to boom or bust.

This is going to be a FUN event.

@Lessen You should post this in the main SNAIL thread to get more attention. I know there are some that have recently gotten PCars and this would be a nice introduction to online racing for them.

I've scheduled this on Sunday in order to increase the odds of a full field. The downside is that's the exact same time/day as the GT6 Series. I dont' want to intentionally challenge that series for participation.
