You da man, Lesson. Take care of the distractions and family responsibilities first. Remember, this IS only a game.
Assetto Corsa comes out in a month. The new league I am in are transitioning to it right away. Should be interesting. I hope AC has overcome the pain in the butt interface that PCars won't fix till #2 comes out.....hopefully.

See ya on track....somewhwere.

Is the PCars interface really that bad? I mean yea it doesn't do what GT6 does but it can be worked with.

It's not just that, but also the fact that the game is over a year old, still has MAJOR problems and the developers have quit fixing it. SMS can pretty much KMA...

Even though the replays suck they were still manageable and useful IF one could get them reliably. Scoring is unreliable as well. The game has fantastic weather simulation that we are limited in using due to the tire issue. Then there's the recent fuel problem that seems to have become more prevalent. The thing is, some of these things can be worked around, but every time something comes up, somebody is gonna get the short straw and it becomes a big turn off. With the series a year old we shouldn't still be making fundamental lobby changes to fix problems that seemed solved.

Or GT Sport. AT least PD does a bunch of update and keep on trying to fix things. Most games I've picked up over the years receive one maybe two updates and it's done and we're left with a half usable game at best. And don't get me started on user friendly online lobbies. For all of the gripes people seem to have PD for me has the best online experience.

With all the disappointments for previous games, I'm actually ok with the half baked pcars online experience as long as you don't want to take it overly serious. It doesn't have the tools to support the Sunday Night Spec racing at SNAIL. I'll rank it as my second favourite racing sim or whatever you wish to call it.

One issue is the small (compared to GT6) amount of cars to choose from. There's only so many combinations. At least in GT6 there are a lot more possibilities.

But Granturismo has a big, big problem that doesn't seem to be getting any better with GTSport... The arcadish overall experience!
I'm sorry but I don't see myself getting back to a game with screaming tires, lawnmower engine sounds, senseless results on suspension tunning, losing control of the car by running over one grass needle, absurd graphical results from impact, 200 useless cars, fake tracks that can be run in both directions, fake futuristic cars that drive like crap and eventually, ******g JLBowler!
Naaaa! Assetto ftw.

I've not played AC, but knowing how popular spec racing is on consoles I hope there is an option and it actually works properly. People rave about the physics which means I REALLY need to step up to a rig. :)

I think with Lessen dropping out (is anyone taking over or is the series being swept under the rug?), i think tonight might be a low showing.

Nope, thing is just done and it was really uneventful the way it was announced. One day we're talking about the lack of drivers and it being the summer while in the fall it might get better. It can't better if you end the series...

I'm just disappointed that the series is ending. I'm going to try and make something myself that is similar, but it won't have the SNAIL moniker.

It is my "professional" opinion that Project CARS is simply not a suitable platform for a highly organized self-policing spec series. The game has a lot of features that make a lot of promises that it simply has not fulfilled and clearly shall not ever fulfill. These are the reasons I will not be offering it up for offical management transition.

On a personal note: I am not racing right now due to my home remodel project and other major life changes. I have a lot on my plate at the moment and with the series' suddenly struggling I just do not have the time to continue putting band-aids on a broken leg.

I'm shutting it down for an undetermined length of time. I'm hoping there is a better platform for spec racing later this year.

Basically, I'm hoping this is a summer break and we can get back to it in the fall with a different game.

In the mean time we should pick a few of our favorite cars and each week race one car at some tracks. Simplify things. Slow tire and fuel so we don't have to think about it, 5 min qualifying, all 15 minute races to get a lot in. This should keep us entertained for a little while until Assetta Corsa gets up an running.

@Lessen is anyone taking over or is it done for good as of today?
I was going to host tonight, but only a few people showed up.
I did not see you on line, so I did not know you were wanting to race.
I sent you a friend request last week. Did you except it?
