Well, 2 drivers already left D1 and I know that I won't be competitive anymore anyway. 7.1 seconds off the pace. I had fun while it lasted I will see you guys on Saturdays from now on.

Yep, me too. A DesertChicken rage quit. Another cluster.....of a night. Send TLR over to runa couple of laps just to bail out. 11 in one room, 6 in the other. Hope you combine the rooms so no one has to run laps all by themselves......... I can do that in a practice room. Truthfully, I would rather wash my hair than runs laps alone all night. Whatever happened to quallifying to make the race? Good luck Steve.

I tried again. I am just done. I had fun, but I can't take this anymore at all. I didn't mean to plow through everybody on the Scion race, I thought the wrong track. My mind just got to messed up from the crap pulled at the start.

Awesome, that was me for sure. It's scary how much tobacco and weed dependence can affect your mood and piece of mind when giving up cold turkey. Then throw in some personal issues dealing with my Mother and adult kids. I have turned into a raging angry biatch and am taking it out on everyone around me.....even you guys. From Dr. jeckle to Mr. hyde at the drop of a pin. I was so mad last night, my hands were shaking..........and for what? If this is what being sober means, I might have to call up my Bob Marley man, just to get the old me back. I don't even like myself when I get like this.What happened to: "I'm so fast... you guys can't keep up... Wait, I'm like, D1 fast?
I deserve everything you guys can throw at me for being a whiny little not so fast D-1 guy with a shatty attitude.

Lobban, 2 years ago i finally decided that enough was enough and putted an end to almost 20 years of smoking.
Cold turkey is a non sense and 98% of the times doesn't work! Why? Because your inconscient department was not prepared.
First, you massacre your brain for a couple of months with the fact that you decided that it will be over. You prepare your mind that it will live without it.
Then i spoke to my fam doctor and she precribed me this pills that keep you calm through the heavy cravings period. It's just a very soft calming agent to help you not going insane as you are right now.
3 weeks later i was off the pills and cruising mostly due to the mind work and preparation.
One day, you'll get strong enough to go back to some spiffs without the risk of falling into tobacco again... I can assure you that

The T3PA brake pedal and I are still not getting along. It's so far different compared to a modded G27 brake. Going to mess around with the brake mod and tighten it up. Any suggestions?

Are you using the rubber cone? I had to adjust mine all the way out, just enough to get the jam nut on the back side. Otherwise there was too much free pedal before the resistance started. The pedal is now pretty stiff, and the progression of resistance is pretty fast, but I'm happy with it. It feels kinda like a car without power brakes. In the picture, I'd have number 4 - Short travel, strong resistance. I believe Lobban ditched the cone and found some foam to put under the pedal.

I'll try that. My problem is I spent years with long travel with progressive resistance and this is a huge change.

Yup! G27 with GTEye had a very different feel. That was a huge adjustment for me.

The Sim racing review of the T3pa pro said the conical brake mod feels very much like a load cell. I'm guessing all pressure and little travel. Going to play around with my brake in a few minutes but the going to help a friend move from TO to Oshawa... The nice part of Oshawa or Poshawa as we call it. Not the part with the hookers and drugs.

I imagine that Thrustmaster spent at least some time/effort into designing a piece of rubber that produces at least within some reason an accurate level of resistance to position ratio. Or they may have just opened up catalogue and found a piece of rubber that fit their design. Who knows?... Personally, I always thought it's kind of jenky setup, but I get that TMaster needs to put out a product that at least attempts to recreate that feel without costing $300.

After adjusting the conical brake mod further in as suggested, control and feel has been greatly improved. For the first time I can say I'm pretty happy with the t3pa pedals and can recommend them... As long as you haven't been spoiled with Logitech pedals.
FYI I have the brake pedal hitting the conical rubber mod at about 40% of braking power. Extra pressure takes it the rest of the way.
I'm now more consistent in the braking zone and lap times should improve with a little practice.

No, the Mustang isn't fast, but that was never in question right? The real question is... Can you drive it faster than me?
Just a quick soapbox speech on the lobby count... The moment it is decided to become complacent with something, complancency takes over. The goal of SNAIL SPEC Racing has always been to provide close competitive racing. In order to continually improve on that, we must grow. However, we cannot grow to 24 if we can't grow to 18, and we cannot grow to 18 if we become complacent with a single full lobby.
I know I had previously stated we would stay at whatever lobby count we started, but in hindsight I would be willing to admit THAT was a bit of a premature standard. We can't stick to that standard quite yet, but we MUST make attempts to grow every week. If it's two lobbies for 17 drivers, that's just the way it has to be.
Failure begins when trying ends.
