In all the years I've known you, that selfie avatar has to be the downright ugliest I've ever seen you, I mean, your ugly anyways, but that's just scary looking! No wonder Dolly came running home last week!
At least I gave her a good grooming.

Hey, you know how SNAIL will do holiday races? Well there's one in GT6 but it's just some basic stuff at Spa. I was thinking of doing an actual Memorial Day event in PCars on Sunday night. There are more options for American race cars and especially tracks. I left out the V8 Supercar and the Stockcars because a) V8 Supercar is kinda Australian and b) I don't like NASCAR so I'd leave those out. Same with the two Willow Springs tracks. Just don't like 'em that much. Never raced on the Mojave tracks so I included them. Are they good or just silly elevation changes?

Cars:
-Corvette C7.R
-Cadillac CTS-V.R GT3
-Ford Escort Mk1RS1600
-Ford MkIV
-Ford Mustang Boss 302R1
-Ford Mustang Cobra TransAm
-Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth Group A
-Ford Zakspeed Capri Group 5

Tracks:
-California Highway
-Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
-Mojave Boa Ascent
-Mojave Cougar Ridge
-Mojave Coyote Noose
-Mojave Gila Crest
-Mojave Siddewinder
-Road America
-Sonoma Raceway GP
-Sonoma Raceway National
-Sonoma Raceway Short
-Watkins Glen GP
-Watkins Glen Short

Let's cruise on the California Highway in the classic Mustang. Not a race, just enjoy it. Sure, try to overtake here and there but not an "on the limit" race the whole time, just for fun.

Then I'm thinking increase incrementally to the higher HP cars. The Escort is tough to control under braking so idk if you wanna use that in a group. Maybe start with the Sierra Cosworth at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, then Mustang GT4 at Sonoma Raceway Short. Then the Corvette C7.R at Watkins Glen GP, then idk about the TransAm and Group 5 cars. Either one of those at Road America since it's a more open track and they're insanely powerful. Are they hard to handle?

Nope, not for me. Because I just don't like the cars and tracks...... Just kidding. Never raced the Mohave tracks, but you include them? Think Willow on steroids. YOU will hate them. Laguna, RA, Glen and Sonoma......again??? The Glen and Sonoma are awesome stock car tracks, but you hate Nascar. Pick some tracks that give YOU a challenge. Pick some tracks that will be a challenge to us all. Or tracks that are not run very often. Or pick cars that you have actually tested on those tracks. Or just open a public room.

Too much exitement but not enough thought. i'm out.

What bugs me most is the worthless replays. Oh, and where the heck do I find powerband information?!
Replays are frustrating. Wait 3-5 minutes for a 10 second opportunity to save the replay. Then the replays aren't nearly as useful as GT considering opponant's telemetry. I've also found inconsistencies in car colors, missing cars, and markers being taken out. GT does a much better job in the replay aspect. I'm hopeful for the future of PCars though.

Is this why GT used to freeze during replays so much? Too much data?

Currently looking for a Co-Director for my new SNAIL series I have started, must be willing to put in the work etc. Also if any of you guys would be interested in racing in the series here is the thread.

It is on a Thursday night so it doesn't interfere with WRS or PSEC, sorry for advertising here Lessen but it's just easier to get a hold of people. :)

Thursday works for me Card. Will check it out later.
Don't listen to Aero, none of it is true. I deny everything. It was completely all his fault. Dolly is lying. The glove will not fit....you must aquit. Not guilty.

So can someone enlighten me why Monaco F1 is so revered by the announcers? Saying things like "THIS is the race everyone looks forward to".

Of all the F1 races through the year, this is the one I have no problem missing. There will be no actual battles or passing. You can count on that. I just don't get it...

Edit...I appreciate the talent required to drive fast on the narrow roads of Monaco but it makes for awful actual racing where the only passing occurs during pit stops.

Wow Ricciardo on pole! Good for you buddy :)

Poor Verstappen is screwed due to Qualifying crash.

And especially at Monaco where qualifying order is kind of finishing order. I don't come to this thread for F1 news so I was not expecting that. Not cool. Thanks for editing it though for others.

Yes, thanks for the edit @JoeW Fortunately I did not see any pertinent information. :) I'm gonna go watch qually shortly.

As far as your previous question. It's all about the prestige of the event. The atmosphere if you will. I don't find the Daytona 500 to be all that fascinating either, but it's the history that drives it. The drivers are highly driven to do well there, the teams, the engine MFR's etc. There's a lot of pressure to run well and the payout is held in a high regard because of it.

At least there is close racing and passing at Daytona. Monaco is the one venue where the only real passing occurs when a driver is being shown the blue flag because they are getting lapped.

The one real awesome thing about it is the skill and fitness level required to drive within an inch of metal walls for over an hour straight. Just mind boggling how they stay at peak focus levels looking through a tiny tunnel of metal walls at over 100mph average lap speed.

But passing? Not so much.

@Lessen I got you this season buddy  I can't believe I won. It just goes to show consistency is key.

Yes sir you did! That DC hurt me bigtime, but it is what it is. You definitely had the advantage in Rd3. It was a fun battle though for sure :)

@Lessen So is voting open until this Friday, or you just don't want to give us the results to far in advance?

Voting is closed as of last night. But yes, I don't want to throw it out there a week ahead. All I know is there were 8 votes. I won't even look at details until next Sat. morning. I want everybody to have a true break. :)
