@SGETI Once it is uploaded and processed jump onto your PC and go to YouTube. Go to "My Channel", and hover over the video in question. Right click, select "copy link address". Paste that address into the the pm conversation. đź‘Ť

Now, if you ever want to share a racing vid... say here in the forum you use the little media icon above the response box and paste the same link into that prompt. That will imbed the video into the post rather than posting a link. :)

That's not now Sunday's TT works. Sunday's TT is done as a TT session within the SNAIL GT6 Game Community. Since the lobby settings are setup by SNAIL admin, they are controlled by adminand posted via the game. The only way I can verify that TT settings meet the spec is to review video where the entire process is fluid. Either that or it's done in a live lobby where I or a designee is present and that's just not always going to be a realistic expectation on both the part of future drivers and admin.

Drivers,

Each of you tagged in this post are 1 of 26 active WRC drivers because you have competed in at least one round in the previous two seasons. As many of you know, WRC is implementing a Time Trial procedure similar to what the SNAIL GT6 league uses to place new drivers. However, it is necessary to get some baseline data from all of our current drivers as well. Since the TT is a mandatory procedure for all future new drivers it must also be so for each of you as well (including myself).

In order to perform and submit your TT you need to:
  1. Start a NEW private message with myselff titled "NEW DRIVER TT" requesting car/track information.
  2. Perform your time trial per the outlined procedure stated in the OP.
  3. Provide a link to your uploaded video in the same private conversation.
In order to compete in league events starting June 7, all drivers must submit a time trial. Please submit no later than 11:00pm EST Monday, June 6. Thank you! :)

I have successfully moved to another state, but the ISP morons have unsuccessfully tried 2 times to give me Internet and failed.
Once I have it, I'll upload the video, but my mobile connection isn't good enough for that. Since I can't race without it either, it won't matter.
Will start the conversation with our Esteemed Supreme Leader, though.

I like the idea of TT's . My concern is.... I have always been a better racer than a qualifier and am afraid my times may not reflect true times........for me.

Hey Boss, how big an expansion are you looking for? I'm sure all of us could find at least 1 Snail like minded driver to grow the league. I just like full rooms. Soooooo much more fun....(funner)?.

TLR, my bad..... That was me having a tobacco fit. Third week with no tobacco and only 1 Bob Marley in all that time. For me.............this is extraordinary. Ask Aero, he knows.

Man, I never have success in this whole video uploading ****.
Did time trial, took forever to figure out I had to double click the share button to start record! Then chose upload video to youtube, had to sign on which was ok. So I was assuming it uploaded to my channel I created earlier but nothing is there when I go to My Channel??

It always sounds so easy, and never is. I dunno, maybe it's just us old guys not growing up with all this stuff. I feel your pain!

This is what i did and I hope it helps.
I brought up the main screen PS4, pushed the option button TWICE. This starts the recording.
Entered all required race settings.
started race.
after 5th lap waited in the first corner, then pushed option button once. stopped recording.

Went on my laptop and opened youtube. then opened new account. you will need email addr.
gave my channel a name.

Went back to my PS4
clicked share button.
upload video
picked my TT video
gave me four options, I clicked youtube.
named my video
clicked upload.

10 minutes later went to my youtube channel, there was the video. Magic
sent link to lessen.

he later confirmed received.

@Cardahs has offered help to anyone. If the above can be rewritten to aid others please do so.

This might be a painful week Lesson, lol
Just wait till Lobban tries this while going through his withdrawals, I can see a PS4 going through a tv, haha

It took over 10 minutes for the video to upload, so if you shut off your PS4 within a minute or two, maybe that was your issue.

@Mike Lobban , this procedure will test your will power. good luck.

If you go over to notifications on the home screen and press it there is an uploading tab and it will tell you how much time is remaining until it's finished.

Ok, so this will show you what an idiot I can be sometimes. As soon as I hit the share video button I thought it automatically uploaded the video, doh! Didn't realize you had to go to notifications and the upload was going on there. So when I shut off PS4 it stopped. I was out back and turned it on again cause it was bugging the crap out of me and I realized what happened. Says it is going to take 108 minutes so will do it tomorrow.
See Sgeti, I'm worse than you at this stuff, lol.
 
This is obviously way too complicated of a procedure. How many new guys are going to read that and actually decide it's worth the hassle? That's a tough question. I'm still trying to answer it myself...
 
It will keep out the riff raff. Plus the more difficult it is to join a club, the more desirable that status becomes.

It's really not that complicated. New maybe, but not complex.

  1. Record
  2. Create a spec lobby
  3. Run 5 laps
  4. Stop recording.
The procedure outlines how to setup a spec lobby as well as some general do's and dont's. That is the requirement to ensure a fair evaluation.
Everything necessary outside of that falls under learning how to utilize your PS4. That is outside of my scope although I'm plenty willing to help those who genuinely need it and aren't just whining.

Anybody who wants to compete in an ORGANIZED INTERNET LEAGUE should probably understand there will be some requirements including following some specific procedures that help keep things ORGANIZED & fair and utilizing the INTERNET so they may compete with a group of people with like interests (the LEAGUE).

Anyone simply unwilling to put in a little effort may possibly be barking up the wrong tree.

It actually isn't that bad once you have done it. The biggest hassle for me was getting it to start recording, remember to double tap the share button to start, even then it didn't always start recording. You will be able to tell by the little symbol with red light that pops up. It took about an hour to upload from the PS4.
Creating youtube channel is easy to do.
If me, Sgeti, and Jax?, and we'll see how Lobban makes out, can do it, you know you can as well!
 
Added little tidbit...

The PS4 is ALWAYS recording, just like a DVR. If you press share and save clip, the game will save the last 15 minutes of gameplay, or if you've recently saved a clip, back to that point.

Personally I think the double tap is the better option because you'll get a prompt and there will be no doubt you're live.
 
I have been waiting for either the G29 or T300 to get to $300 Canadian before buying a replacement for my G27.
