All WRC drivers,

The following addition has been made to WRC procedures

WRC New Driver Time Trial info

The WRC new driver TT (Time Trial) serves as your performance benchmark. WRC admin will use the lap data from this short test to place all new drivers into an appropriate racing division within the WRC series.

In order for WRC admin to validate your TT you are required to upload a video of your TT to an internet video service (such as YouTube). This can be done in one of two ways:

1. Use the Share feature of your PS4 to begin recording your TT from setup all the way through your final lap. Upload when complete. (max. 15 minutes)

2. Livestream your TT to a video service (such as YouTube) that records your entire session.

After you’ve completed and uploaded your TT, simply provide the Series Director with a link to the video. That’s it!

Note: Although WRC admin has no way to control how much effort you spend preparing for the time trial, we suggest a minimal amount of lapping beforehand. Too much practice may result in exaggerated data and may place you in an inappropriate division. We suggest no more than 10-12 laps.

The following outlines the required settings and video content that need to be included in your TT video. It must be said that these settings MUST be included in the video and they MUST be correct. Failure to provide video of correct settings SHALL invalidate your time trial. However, any settings NOT specified below will not have any effect on the validity of your TT no matter the configuration.

Uploaded video must begin at the Project CARS home screen and should end no earlier than Turn 1 of your 6th lap.

1. Create an online lobby

2. Select the pre-determined car (See Private Conversation)

3. Select the pre-determined track (See Private Conversation)

4. Setup lobby conditions

5. Create lobby

6. This would be the best time to ensure that the last 3 lap times data is displayed in your HUD. Skip to End of Session (skip practice).

7. Run 5 complete laps of the “race”. (First lap counts)

8. After completing your 5th lap and well clearing the start/finish line (we suggest getting to turn 1) you may end your shared recording/livestream

9. Upload video (if necessary)

10. Provide Series Director with link to video

Final Note: This is not just a hot lap session. All 5 laps will have an effect on your time trial score (even laps that incur throttle penalties.

Well it says "new driver...".

We aren't new drivers so current drivers are exempt right? Right?

If have never shared anything or posted anything to YouTube etc. This process may be too much for this feeble mind to grasp.

So now would not be the best time to discuss F1?

:)

So this race is proof that even highly paid F1 drivers can be serious bonehead drivers. Some of the crap these guys try is stuff my 11 yr old son wouldn't try.

And damn I think Red Bull hates Ricciardo. How many race wins has his pit team cost him? Not sure how you recover mentally from the roller coaster ride he has experienced the last several weeks. Drive your ass off only to be screwed by your own team.

I'm a hell of a racing fan! I follow almost everything worth following around the world. You guys can bet, when I'm on YouTube I'm watching races.
I follow the blancpain, pirelli, DTM, Super GT, TransAm, WTCC, BTCC, IMSA and whatever fun i can find.
Formula 1 is a long gone relationship! Older guys know how hot F1 was in the past. The cars only had an engine, a steering wheel, some downforce and four tires. Everything else was pure overskilled driving, mild madness and enormous passion by a type of driver who's production was discontinued.
F1 now are some highly sophisticated technological monsters operated by some spoiled rich kids that cry like ******g babies everytime other crying baby scrubs his car.
Money took over so hard that there is no room for crazyness, mild madness or even adventurous ways. Everything became a computer program build for the smallest detail where the team with the best computer dominates easily making the season the most predictable **** on earth!
Formula 1 changed for the worst when races started being won in the pits and not on the track and never came back from there.

How in all living hell can you lose that race like that??? How wasn't the team ready for him?

And special mention to Sauber for screwing themselves. How did Ericsson not wait until the pit straight for that? 99% of moves into La Rascasse end in disaster. Nasr was moving over before T1...

I don't see how RIC can get to Canada without murdering someone. Two races that he had and zero wins. Incredible...

But it's good for the Championship to have it all mixed up, so good result, off to Canada.

Totally agree.

And Kimi trying to drive with his front wing tucked under his car. Drove poor Grojean into the wall and trapped him there.

And Kvyat has probably driven his way out of F1 with his divebomb of poor Magnussen. I wanted to strangle him.

Sorry for double post...

Checking this Indy 500 thing on TV now. One crazy thing I noticed is at over 210mph they are switching between 4th, 5th and 6th and the RPMs are only varying between 11k and 12k. That is some serious power band management to be able to select between any of three gears at 210+ mph.

Kimi is also not helping himself. He's been doing stupid crap easy to much for an experienced driver.
Some of those moves would get people named from SNAIL...

Drivers,

Each of you tagged in this post are 1 of 26 active WRC drivers because you have competed in at least one round in the previous two seasons. As many of you know, WRC is implementing a Time Trial procedure similar to what the SNAIL GT6 league uses to place new drivers. However, it is necessary to get some baseline data from all of our current drivers as well. Since the TT is a mandatory procedure for all future new drivers it must also be so for each of you as well (including myself).

In order to perform and submit your TT you need to:
  1. Start a NEW private message with myselff titled "NEW DRIVER TT" requesting car/track information.
  2. Perform your time trial per the outlined procedure stated in the OP.
  3. Provide a link to your uploaded video in the same private conversation.
In order to compete in league events starting June 7, all drivers must submit a time trial. Please submit no later than 11:00pm EST Monday, June 6. Thank you! :)

Anyone planning on buying the G29 in the next week or 2?
I've been waiting for either the G29 or T300 to get close to $300 Cdn. I am having such a hard time deciding which one to get though. My G27 has been serving me well, other than the small drifting glitch when it was new (was an easy fix). But after trying Lobbans T300 on my system I really liked how it performed, I really wish I was able to try out a G29 to compare.
I am running the G27 with the emulator set up and I think it is ever so slightly affecting the performance of the wheel, and last week during the races I had to reset the GIMX a few times as the ffb was starting to mess up a bit.
I'm tempted to get the G29 at the $349 price but I think it might go down more closer to fathers day. I'm sure the new TM is going to be very expensive so I'm not even going to worry about that!

I'm sure the G29 is a great package just as the G27 was. I think a good brake pedal makes the most difference to lap times and the Logitech pedals are the best in my opinion, for the money.

OK this video thing is starting to get on my nerves. I'd rather be racing. I was able to finally figure out how to record. I have a recording as required. Now when I go to upload, I am able to select the video, however then I am given four options, facebook , twwet, utube, dailymotion. This is were I am stuck. I do not have or use any those 4 options .

What is my next step.? how do i post link for you to view?

Not me. My dream is a full Fanatic setup. If house contruction goes well and there's extra money I'm hoping to have a room and a full blown rig by the end of the year. 👍
Here's another thing we have in common Lessen. The hole fanatec set up dream ;)

I suggest making a YouTube account. Then once you sign into it while logged into PSN you'll be all gravy for the future for other gaming videos you might want to share.

@SGETI

Make a YouTube account then go to your video in the capture gallery on PS4 and press the share button while hovering over the video it will then ask you what website you want to upload it to, press YouTube and then sign in. It will then give you the option to title the YouTube video and all that jazz. Then it will start to upload, then it's just a matter of going into your video on your channel and sending the link to Lessen.
