I got it down to a 8:52. Thought that was a pretty good lap... until I come here and see Dolph with an 8:50.
From the looks of things it should be a good close battle.👍

Can't wait for the race. It looks like it's going to be close. Plus it's hard to be mistake free throughout that long of a race on that long of a track. Not going to be easy for the leader to pull away.

It turns out an oil change does wonders

I got my (fastest) lap time down to 8:58.452. Now I just need to learn to be consistent for 10 laps :-)

Looking forward to the weekend!

Yes, it makes a significant difference.

An oil changed dropped my time by about 5 seconds. So I would definitely agree that it makes quite a difference.

And all you can do for the race is be as consistent as possible. As mentioned earlier in the thread, not every lap needs to be a qualifying lap. Slow it down a bit, and you're less likely to have an accident which will cost you many more seconds than anything lost from a steady, comfortable pace. 👍

Thank goodness you went and got that oil change. I was so tired of hearing you whining "I'm not fast anymore".

Hey, now!

I was merely pointing out that I could run close to an 8:50 a few days before, then couldn't get under an 8:55 later. I found it odd, especially considering I had run my 8:50 in the dark and couldn't even come close when it was light while practicing with you guys.

We always knew there was something special about you Dolph. Now we know what it is. Your nocturnal. Don't ever race doplh in the dark guys.

And doplh,8:55 is close to 8:50.

I am a night owl in real life. I hate the morning. :P Put down an 8:48.962 in practice tonight (about 2/3 fuel load). I can't recall if it was during the dark...probably was. :D

I hope practice went well. After I left the room wouldn't even show up. I went to community and tried to join through friends but the room was showing to be full and would immediately kick me out. Could you see when I was trying to get in?

no, we never saw you trying to get in like it did with Me (or so i was told as i never realized it was even doing that on the rooms end).

Very strange.

I hope we don't start having these room issues again.

What was my lap time again last night Dolph? i forgot... :P :sly:

I can't remember your exact time. I think it was an 8:46.9. But yes, with a lighter fuel load. :P

And I can confirm what Mic said. We could see Mic trying to get into the room unsuccessfully, but not Psycho. Weird.

:(:(:( very sad, looks like I'm not able to race whit you guys this an the next weekend, (family things), I'm waiting for this race, because I want to see how mic an dolph perform in more friendly event, and also to race against the other good racers, I'm 100% sure that this is going to be a very amazing and fun race, but anyways, we have more good combos coming (thank's to Psycho) see you soon guys an good luck, greetings to all, :banghead::cheers:

It's a shame you can't attend this week, Hector. After the Nurb 4 hour we ran, I think we would have had a heck of a race. Hope to see you on track before too long. 👍

Well now, hello again Turtles!!

It's an honour to have my name associated with the first race, I'm definitely humbled thank you :)

I will be there! I'm about to jump on for my first practice, I've been flat out with work and any gt6 action has been in the Z4 in preparation for the N24.

Really looking forward to to this one :)

EDIT: First practice lap 8:51.781 with plenty out there I reckon, tyres all all ten after out lap and not so flying lap so I can squeeze more out of those for sure I reckon.

How's that stack up against others? Anyone else sharing times?

You: 8:51.781
Mic: 8:46.9 (?)
Me: 8:50.8
Dolph: 8:48.9

Cheers mate!

Looks like all those CRAP laps for Mic paid off

Still work to do BUT those fastest laps don't mean a lot out on the green hell if you can't be consistent so that will be the key.

I will say this: the car, for me, is easily the best out of the box that I've tried. It's a dream! Sure it's not as challenging as others but sometimes it's just pure bliss to jump in a car like this and go for it knowing it's on rails :)

Hey Masterhec, we wish you were able to join us. We have a few more Nurburgring races in the schedule, so you will get a change to race with us there. Thanks for letting us know and take care.
