Big block dirt mods are really big around here, we are family friends with 4 teams from just our town( and we live in the middle of nowhere). Pat Ward and Mike Mahaney are the ones we know best. We have tons of tracks around here too, so there is a pretty big following. We even have a 1 mile track at the Syracuse Fairgrounds, its been on the SPEED channel a couple of times.
The place where the Outlaws are going is a nice little track. Haven't been there in a really long time though.
There's a 1/10 mile quarter midget track at the Fairgrounds as well. I've raced there, big track for small cars.

Mistakes helped make the race I think. I had a huge lead before I spun twice on my in-lap of my 2nd stop. That set me up to have to make back up the time. I thought I lost it there on lap 41 when I spun at the start of the 2nd sector. I almost wished that you didn't spin on the last lap so that we could have an actual battle instead of just driving by each other when we wrecked. Still, lots of fun.
Hey @Ph1sher,I found out today that the Outlaws sprint cars are coming to my local track, only 30 minutes away. I'm not sure if I'm going yet though, as the race is in the middle of the week, but I figured you would be interested to hear that. They've come to a bunch of other tracks near me, but those are like an hour away. Might actually be able to go to this one 👍
It would have been interesting to see what would have happened if I hadn't crashed. Like I mentioned, I still have a feeling you would have beaten me. When you wrecked with 2 to go, I thought I had it in the bag...until I saw you make up half the distance you had lost in less than a lap. :nervous: I then made my mistake, literally the corner after the one you had spun at the lap before. Anyway, I was glad we were able to see each other for this one. It made for a great (and stressful for me ) battle. 👍

Everyone had multiple spins throughout the night though. It was mostly a matter of who crashed the least. It was funny seeing the many random arrows spinning around on the track map. And if you didn't see an arrow go around, you could still tell if the leader or 2nd place driver went off by seeing the gap change.

My 1st spin was a PD spin. It was inexplicable. I didn't touch a blade of grass, so it must have been a grain of sand. I had something to do with the rest of them. I knew everyone else was spinning as well so I didn't worry about it as much as I normally would have. Challenging cars add a lot to the fun of a race because you always know you have a chance to catch up if someone spins and you're never safe if you think you have it won.

My car, inexplicably, spun like 3 times with absolutely no reason on corner exits with the car already straight. I know its a diesel with tons of torque but... Come on!

Nice Banner Psycho

Here is my Very First race in a rear wheel drive (The Feature got rained out so 2 videos next week). The car felt fast and easy to handle. Just was in the back relaxing and learning the car as its not easy switching from a front wheel drive to a rear wheel drive. the track was really bad last saturday night as you can see just pure dust and no traction up top. either way for a first time out on the track with no practice i took last saturday as a test and tune and it was a blast! Learned a lot and looking forward to improving on the track and finishing mid pack to the front of the pack hopefully towards the end of the season 👍 Enjoy my first time in the car its pretty funny sometimes going out of the turns

motor is stock, but the head is rebuilt. Its for a SpecE30. I finished 2nd and 3rd out of 15 racers. 1st place guy is a past national champ. I have videos to come shortly!
