Race Recap

Three great races! GTP_Ph7shr had his hands full with WestRoadZ. GTP_Ph7shr kept his composure and got the overall win. WestRoadZ had some blazing speed, but inconsistency and a very unusual pit stop in Round 1 sealed his fate. WestRoadZ took 2nd Place overall. DolphDrago raced well in Rounds 1 and 2, but too many mistakes in Round 3 cost him a chance at 2nd Place. DolphDrago finished in 3rd Place overall. micantony had trouble here and there in Rounds 1 and 3, but had a great Round 2 win to keep Psycho-Tuber from challenging for the position. micantony finished 4th overall with Psycho-Tuber taking 5th. littleregret265 has very good speed, but came up just a little short in the consistency department taking 6th Place. Welcome back littleregret265! RacingOtaku86 raced well in Rounds 1 and 2 and had very good pace in Round 3, apparently some trouble found him there and he took 7th Place overall. ScorpionPHVH257 raced in Rounds 1 and 3 after a disconnect during intermission between Rounds 1 and 2. ScorpionPHVH57 finished in 8th Place overall. Welcome back ScorpionPHVH57! ian_digruve raced well in Round 1 taking the Division 3 win. But, a one and done doesn't get you a lot points. ian_digruve finished 9th. newsprinter was also one and done for 10th place. And rounding out the field in 11th Place was BustedFoSho who failed to finish a race. That was some great intense racing Turtles!


Thoughts

The FLEX RACING SERIES is a challenging series. We do not shy away from tough races. Endurance races by their very nature are tough because they challenge your driving ability, tactical skill, and mental stamina. All of that played out in last nights races. If we are racing a car you hate, practice until you love it. If we are racing on a track you don't like, practice until you like it. Embrace the challenge and remember, race the race, don't race the car.

Well, my grandma passed away overnight last night. She wasn't in the best of health and took a turn for the worse a couple of days ago. But she lived a productive 80something odd year life. Dolph will be out there to get a win for her tonight!

Personally, I use a DS3 controller. It's not the best way to get around, but it's the only thing I use since I don't have a wheel (I would like to get one), and I use manual transmission. I like to think I'm pretty good using the analog sticks on it as well.

By the way, very quickly, ever done the Kobayashi Maru test?

I recently obtained a t300rs wheel. Use Manual.

Dolph = DS3 and automatic shifting
Physher uses G27 wheel and manual
Psycho uses G27 wheel and manual
those are the ones i know.
