1.02 Update live!

Does anyone know the difference between 1.02 and the small update that pops up after 1.02 installs?
 
People were complaining career mode was too short.

Now it's impossible to finish career mode until some time next year :lol:

I always thought Career Mode was the proper length. With Online races and weekly Seasonal Events, there are plenty of races to be involved in. Sure, we all would be happy if it were infinite, but Career Mode serves it's purpose in this new age of continuously updated gaming.
 
It adds vettel driving school stuff, brings back login bonuses and increases offline payouts.

So much for all the microtransaction nay sayers.

HUH? If anything this proves them right....game was designed around Micro transactions, only after did they change it. it effected development.
 
Yep, when they released GT6.

LMAo if you think this is improved or acceptable AI... Low standards are low. GT6 ai is atrocious, as is the racing. Ai was not touched , they added a rubber band effect which is even worse and pure laziness. It's the worst racing AI in gaming period.
 
I told the fanboys here that PD will listen to our concerns, specifically low payout which means they will listen on what we want changed now and what we want for the future.
Here's the thing, I'm looking at novice races after 1.02 update and the payouts are still 4x00cr. There's no increase. Same goes for the A races. They were 20800 when I did them days ago, and they still are. I know the 10% increase in novice might not be noticed but a 70% increase in A would be and it's just not there.
So where's the increase?

So, do you think GT5 was designed around micro-transactions? Cause when that game first launched, payouts were just about at the same level, then after a patch or two, they raised payouts and added login bonuses. The game wasn't built around micro-transactions any more than GT5 was. If anything, this proves that PD would rather sell the game rather than credits.

I don't think getting rid of rolling starts is actually possible. It's a hardware issue, supposedly having that many cars bunched up results in super low framerates.

So I guess you'll never be buying this game.
Uhh, pretty sure someone reported that the new XB JR. races that were added are standing start.

Rewards for Novice Class races have been raised to approximately 110%, for National B Class up to approx. 130%, for National A Class to approx. 140%, for International B Class to approx. 150%, for International A Class to approx. 160%, and for Super Class they have been raised to approximately 170%. This may give good incentive to go back and try some races you’ve already cleared!
Perhaps you need to win the race to see the bonus, did you try completing one, or just looking at the pay out in the race info?

Also the engine/exhaust sound is great, it just belongs to a hot hatch, not a RBjr, its got a lovely rorty sound and actually sounds like its got a certain something missing from other cars, its looking good for future sound updates.

How ironic, the 2 best sounding cars are fictional RedBulls!

its not a hardware issue LMAO. Every other racing game on Ps3 doesn't have them. Post proof? Sounds like you're making excuses for PD..How would a rolling start kill frame rates more? Hogwash.

Rewards for Novice Class races have been raised to approximately 110%, for National B Class up to approx. 130%, for National A Class to approx. 140%, for International B Class to approx. 150%, for International A Class to approx. 160%, and for Super Class they have been raised to approximately 170%.

Add to that the log-in bonus, and prizes have been more than doubled across the board.
 
Does the Ascari Race Resort shortcut now have invisible walls, or does it just invalidate your lap if you cut?

I really hope they kept invisible walls out. I don't cheat, but I really like knowing the infield is completely open.

Agreed there, Couldn't be a hardware issue, otherwise grid starts wouldn't work online, where there is a far greater demand on the hardware, and yet, its there.

Not sure, the OP has then listed separate. Try a race in a higher class, if its over what the bonus is, or if it shows both bonuses, then there is the answer.

it s increased, like the wind were 49kcr now 69k, same goes to championship race, 49kcr now 75kcr

I couldn't see an increase with Novice races etc. But then I looked at iA races - NASCAR Motegi and Like the Wind SSRX and they've definitely been adjusted. 80k or so for NASCAR and 70k for SSRX Like the Wind.

I see that the 10 minute IB races are now 40,000 so that's definitely and increase and it shows so on the before race screen.
But previous things all look the same.
